@@mrskinszszs lemme guess, Bill Bruford, Zach Hill, John Bonham, Neil Peart, Keith Moon, Portnoy or Buddy Rich. Y'all ALWAYS bring those guys up. Just like the dudes who try to say Eddie wasn't the greatest just because Steve Vai, Petrucci and Frank Zappa exist.
@@mr.nazareth4501 billy Cobham, bruford, Dennis Chambers, Gary Novak, Dave Dicenso... I like Damon better than Zach Hill. Hill is too schizo and a lot of his playing blends together. Damon always has interesting ideas at hand. Again, I think Damon is great and its fine to say he's your favorite, but saying no one can hold a candle to him is incredibly hyperbolic.
This is amazing to the earholes. If you could, subsequently, add the Don Caballero III drum track to the feed with only drums and then do the same to the wires and bass wires. That would be something to behold. Thanks for all the Long run feels.I Known you can do it, whoever you are that is controlling the tapes, Be a HERO.
Thank you. I saw you at Wills Pub in Orlando. Begrudgingly you gave me your drum sticks. Talked shit, ...... And I was the happiest. I always loved your stage persona. Thank you sharing and if you need a bass player....
"ahead of it's time" my ass. Mr. Octopus is a phenomenal schlagzeuger, and I've weirdly seen him through each phase of Don Cab to notice his stylistic trademarks, and one of the reasons I loved him is that he adopted the vocabulary of a ton of drummers (especially jazz guys I hear a lot of Tony Williams), but he was never "ahead of his time." I will assume he'd be the first to admit it.
The bar starts here.... everything below this bar should be totally ignored. Damon is setting the recond straight and everything else is a broken fucking record. For the record, this is the best drumming of the late 20th century!
Pure ear candy
Am I the only one who likes listening to well-produced isolated tracks of skilled drummers?
fun to play the guitar part along with it, Mike is a smart guitarist
and wow I could listen to an hour long album of just Damon drumming like this
It's like they sat Damon Che down and said, "We need you to sound like a pissed off marching band." and he was like, "I got just the beat in mind"
the count makes me cry. thank you so much damon
ONE
ONE
Best gift. Would gladly pay for more of these… plus drumless DC tracks
Agreed!
I’d pay a pretty penny for the multitracks esp for American don. Would love to “mix” them myself
@@TheBadaBaBaBas fuck yea
Thanks for this! Please share more isolated drumming in the future.
not only the drumming, but also the sound is way ahead of its time. feels contemporary to this day!
I hadn't noticed that photo of him setting up the stuffed animals in front of the kit, that's adorable
1.....1.....!
The blast beat out of nowhere in the beginning blew my mind! Would live to see him play through this one!
Masterpiece
You can instantly figure out which music goes over the top:
LEAD DRUMS!
The guitars on the full version are so dissonant and heavy love this band FOREVER
Flawless!
Drumming genius
Holy fucking shit.
Best drummer ever
Oh without a doubt, nobody can hold a candle to Damon
@@lukerogers151 lol I wouldn't go that far dude. He's great, but I feel like anyone who says that needs to hear more drummers.

@@mr.nazareth4501 also yeah, Zappa is way better than Eddie. Throw in McLaughlin as well
Fuck yes! One of my favorite tunes! I love Singles soooo much!!! Thanks for this!
Can now fully appreciate how much of a walloping he is giving those drums
This made me feel young again. Thank you and thank you 90’s.
awesome christmas gift

hmm would you not say that he was one of the first guys to bring that jazz influence to the underground rock scene?
So fucking sick. Did Damon play to a click track/metronome?
No way this was to a click
No. There's definitely push and pull in his drumming, but it's incredibly hard to perceive because his natural timing is amazing.
No clicks ever used on a DC album!
@@DonCaballeroOfficial so goddamn cool. Thank you for the response!
