@@Vivian_Tries I need you to try the tiny combo appliance from Dash!!! The one with the coffee maker, toaster oven and griddle with lid all in one. It is so freaking cute. Girl that pumpkin spice bread is awesome by itself. I bought some after hurricane Ida because everyone else bought all the rest of the bread and I ate the whole bag by itself.
You gotta give the toaster oven another chance. I have one, I use 5” Pyrex ramekins and make myself personal keto casseroles in it. And yes as someone else said put foil on until your last 5 mins or so of cooking. I hadn’t thought to make a Cornish hen in there but now I’m gonna have to try that.
@@toejammiepie I’m looking for a springform pan that’ll fit it too. I like mug cakes but not in the microwave. Really only like my microwave for melting or for boiling water. Not much on meals from there.

And it's not your fault Vivian, everything is overcooking near the back because they don't have an adjustable hinge like more expensive products.
The dash mini toaster oven is perfect for my tiny house!! I've made all kinds of things. Cookies, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, bread rolls, toast, egg in a basket etc etc
For the mini toast oven, a trick to prevent burning is to place some folded aluminum foil on top of the chicken for most of the cooking and then take off for the last few minutes to brown the top. Might be worth retrying that out. But I imagine the toaster will soon become a greasy splattered mess if used in this way 😊
@@kimberlykitzmiller5042 I've accidentally melted foil.to the element. Definitely want to make sure it's not touching. I also use a mini cocotte pan with lid

Hey Viv, I love me some tiny things. So STINKIN CUUTE!!! I was thinking girl, you should try to cook 2 small chicken legs or wings in the toaster oven?!
The “little chickens” are called “Cornish hens”. I make these deliciously stuffed Cornish hens for each family members for Christmas dinner that taste so amazing! I love watching your videos Vivian!! 🥰👏🏼💐
@@dianaw4072 we make extra southern style meaty stuffing from Thanksgiving. Recipe is handed down from our grandmother from down south Texas. Preheat the oven 325. Clean the hens (I make 12 in a double oven ☺️), inject buttery seasoned sauce (or however you make it) into each hen. Stuff each hen, tie & sprinkle some Rosemary & whatever other seasoning you prefer on top. Sometimes @ my family requests, instead of seasoning on top, I’ll put apricot sauce on half of them. I place 6 hens in 2 separate large Reynolds turkey bags (add 1/2 teaspoon of floor per bag & shake it up prior to placing the hens). Put them in at 325 for about 1 hr 45 min, checking every 10 min afterwards. This is how I make them. So simple & easy! Online has the temperature different but mine is for 12 hens. So delicious! Thank you for asking ☺️💐
I LOVE Cornish hens!! My grandma used to make a wild mushroom rice and stuff each one...then bake them in a 9"×13" pan. Then to serve them...she took a meat clever and cut them in half...so each half had one lil wing and one lil drumstick. As kids, my sister and I loved lil chickens...as we used to call them. Vivian! Please read the 10 word instructions on the Pillsbury tube. It's gotta be the same as when I make it from scratch. Roll each dough ball in melted butter then in cinnamon and sugar mix OR garlic butter and then lightly sprinkle with Italian spices and sprinkle each layer with cheese.
@@aprilcoursey4533 you're absolutely right! I do one around this time of year with a cooked apple pie filling. Cook down chunks of apples, butter sugar cinnamon nutmeg and a kiss of clove or any spice you like. Once soft but still holding their shape, put a small spoonful in the center of a flattened piece of dough. Dip into the melted butter and rool in sugar cinnamon blend. Place in the pan and bake at 325-350 until center dough balls appear dry. My point to Vivian is that without butter on each dough ball they're not going to pull apart well and the seasoning won't stick to the dough.
Vivian, you're correct in saying the Dash products don't cook evenly. I love the Nostalgia products. They do seem to cook more evenly. Loved this video BTW!

The Bundt maker is the most versatile. Lots of sweet and savory options but I didn't think of Monkey Bread. Omg, that sounds so yummy. I saw another video where a quiche-like mixture was cooked in it then put between toasted bagel slices. Looked pretty good. I'm sure more creative, out-of-the-box ideas are only a quick google search away.
The teeny tiny toaster is so cute! Bake fish sticks or chicken patties in it for quick after school snacks. Pizza bagels and chicken tenders for game day. Warm up danish or hot pockets for late night munchies. Even those popular"mug cakes" should work in this appliance.

The waffle like cookers could use a floating hinge. That would allow the lid to lay flat on thicker food items to be toasted.
