If you want to try to pack the quesadillas again you could make them and cut them up like Nate likes and then wrap it up in foil and then put it down in his thermos. It would help it stay warm!
We've tried that and he doesn't like them. The warmness from the thermos makes them soggy. :(

I have a 4 yr old and the easiest way I found for the danimals yogurt drink, is to use those clear skinny short straws that come with the hugs barrel drinks. They fit perfectly in the Danimals yogurt drinks.
Those do work great...I need to buy some!

Have you tried putting chicken, quesadillas or anything in a thermos for nate? Might help with the temperature issue. But could change the texture

With the strawberries I would suggest placing them in their own separate air tight container with a paper towel on the bottom to soak up moisture and keep them from getting mushy and soggy ❤️

Awesome,I got me an air fryer finally. Do you have any tips for the air fryer. I got the small 1.5qt. I believe. TFS,I pack as much as I can the night before for lunches.
Air fryers are awesome. My only tip is just to test things out in there. It works like an oven, so you can do a lot more than you think. :)

I have found that if you don't want to repack fruit snacks just cut a small slit in the package the morning of.

I know your struggle with getting nate to eat quesadilla my 15yrold son won't eat cheese but he does on pizza and at home he used to only eat pasta he still won't eat much i pack him different food for school everyday if I let him he would only have in his lunch (pasta or hot dogs, doritos, any type of sweet and grapes
He does have sensory issues and has anxiety though
It's hard. With Nate, a lot of patience and repetition helps. Little by little, he will surprise you! :)
Does Lucy’s class get any sort of small afternoon snack since their lunch is so early?!? If not I bet by the time they are released at the end of the day the teacher has a class full of hangry kiddos!!

Hi! My 4 year old has Autism as well. I’ve been watching your lunch videos for a while thinking of what will happen when my guy goes to school all day. What happens when Nate doesn’t eat at school? Will he still sit at the lunch table? Is he starving when he comes home? I’m so nervous to send my kiddo to school and worrying wether he’s getting food in him or not! Thanks! 😊
Hugs mama! I understand all of those fears. I try my best to pack things that I know he likes and will eat. He may not eat everything but he always eats a little something. His teachers also will give him a snack if he needs it. Special education teachers will be your best friend! They are amazing people who truly love the kids like their own. Nate loves school and I’m sure your little one will too. ❤️
Also, Nate didn’t like sitting at the lunch table but they added a stadium seat to the bench and he loves it. There are so many accommodations they can make to help.

I love #reallifelunches! I try to make my sister's lunches fun looking but some days, it's just thrown together, but she will not eat school lunch for some reason. When I was a kid, I loved school lunch. Lol. Where did you find those tomato soups like that?

It’s a little bit ridiculous that they don’t have a lunch room monitor that can help pre k aged kids open things. Surely the teacher actually in the lunch room with them have hearts and would open anything any of the kiddos had trouble with. Still kinda crazy that it’s a rule though.
Yeah. I’ve found this week that they will help if they absolutely need it, but with 22 kids in the class, the teachers don’t want to have to open everyone’s. Btw, 22 preschoolers in one class? Omg. I can’t even imagine the chaos. Haha

It's funny, he doesn't like sweets. Like at all! He will SOMETIMES eat the golden oreos, but he would rather have salty snacks! :)
