  • Have you ever thought the Golfswing backwards? Eversince I keep on doing this, I get myself and my students of course into better positions. Questions what your arms are supposed to do, when the need to extend, what the shoulders do... all this you will find by working the swing backwards.
    What I mean by saying this, you will see in this video!
    Have fun watching and learning!

    This has been the nemesis of my swing for as long as I can remember. As with many, I can't get rid of my chicken wing. I've seen a hundred tips on how to do it but I'm so focused on contact that after I make contact I let my arms fold rather than throw them through the ball that costs me distance & consistency. Thanks for a great tip.

    I lost my game to the point I WAS GOINT TO QUIT. I couldn’t break 90… I was in a bad way with driver and all my clubs. I watched your videos and a friend ask to play one Saturday. I couldn’t believe what happen…I shot 3 over par …I really saw what I was doing wrong and feel I’m on my way back to normal… I’m not sure what happen but I watch all your videos. They helped and I’ve sent them to friends … Thanks

    Martina, you make the golf swing very easy to understand. You have taken the mystery and made it disappear. Easy to follow instruction and use. Almost all instructions either on line or in person are confusing. Just follow these simple principle and swing. That’s it!! I wish I had found you years ago.

      Thanks a lot Charles. But you know, all the knowledge we all did not have 20 years ago. Eversince we have the possibilities in messuring data with the Trackman and other divices, we are able to define facts better like the low point. I haven't been aware either even when I was playing Golf professionally...

      Thanks for your feedback. Well, I am trying to keep the right arm underneath the left and control the clubface. This position I am showing on the Thumbnail is a bit overdone but this is the position right after impact. At some point of course everything needs to follow the swing bow to the left!

      @@martina_eberl_coaching_en I went back and watched your other video as well and realized I was way over the top. My apology, I removed the comments. Your swing is very much in line with the mechanics I prefer. It’s a very natural swing that seems to really pivot around the spine. Some other teachers seem to prefer a bump into the lead side with the legs to start the downswing, but I haven’t found that to be necessary if you stay centered. I used to overdo my weight transfer into the backside, but of course while there is some weigh transfer, I wasn’t setting myself for a fluid downswing. My latest focus has been keeping my arms, esp. my trail arm, more in front of my body in the backswing which has really increased my extension and speed. Getting better extension after impact is my next focus. It’s ok now, but not what i think it could be. Anyway, thanks for the videos!

    • @martina_eberl_coaching_en
      @martina_eberl_coaching_en  9 місяців тому

      Thanks Mike! Well, you always want to have your club face looking at the target while impact and a milisecond later as well. So thats a fact. The swing itself is certainly more bent, the wedges are all shorter, so you gotta be more bent over and everything fells more "over the ball"... Hope that helps, otherwise watch the video about the Basics of Pitching please!

    Good advice. For me, I have to feel that my left side really moves back around to the left to get into that position. I got too vertical with my path and my body would stop moving just before impact. No bueno. Now, I just feel the left side moving around to the left and my arms position is perfect.
