I have some Vertx jeans and today I picked up a pair of the 5.11 jeans, and these have become my favorites! The cost is a bit steep, so I have to add more as cash allows, but I will be getting more!
I've been wearing the Levis 'Elastane' style jeans for over a couple of years now, and they are holding up great. The added pockets in the 5.11 make it a big win in a tactical jean... I like the deep coin pocket, and the two extra utility pockets in the back. Thanks for the review... Tube On!
I know I'm late but these are my favorite jeans in the world. The side mag pockets are perfect for my phone and wallet. I hate that this is not the standard among casual jeans. great review!
These are wonderful jeans. Perfect fit and not too baggy. Nice, straight cut. Bought two pair each of the jean colors.
Those look fine, not sure why you would want them any baggier. Baggy pants are out, bro.
"not your typical spandex or other synthetic material, you know uh.. elastic material stretch..."
Pants are made with ELASTANE (many other stretch pants use this material), which is basically the same thing. They call it Mechanical stretch for those people that think that stretchy pants are just for women. And for those people who doubt their sexuality.
Cool, obviously you know more about it than I do. I'll stick with "mechanical stretch" because heaven forbid I have a reason to doubt my sexuality. :)
How are they a year later?
Just got the Straight leg version and they are really nice jeans. Ordering more soon!!
Any problem with dye running? I've read some reviews that say guys put their hands in the pockets and their hands come out blue.
Yes that is absolutely true until you wash them the first time. Wash before you wear them. After two washes there is no issue at all.
Thanks for the information.
I’ve been wearing mine since I bought them this morning (wore them home from the store) and today’s weather in SE Wisconsin has been warm and somewhat humid, so I did done sweating. I’ve not turned blue, my hands or any other part of me.
Can you do kicks and do far stretching in these jeans, if so I willl be extremely interested in this product
Well, I am no martial arts ninja, but I can kick and stretch perfectly in these pants.
Will they fit a "full size" 10 round California AR magazine? Lol
How are these holding up?
ConcealedCarry dot com , when doing future pants reviews; can the belt loop actual measurement(s) be stated? Reason is, 5.11 doesn't advertise that in most of there pants descriptions. Thanks . . .
I hope they add another coin pocket on the left side
Is that a 1.75 inch belt?
Jarhead Greasemonkey There are two different belts shown in this video, in the beginning I am wearing a 1.5 inch, and in the close-up shots I'm wearing a 1.75 inch belt. Thanks!
Hello! How do these pants behave after washing? The label indicates: before first use, wash in cold water. With an increase of 185 cm and a weight of 79 kg, I bought a size of W32 L34. And now I doubt whether they will become smaller after washing, or not. Often point out in the comments on these pants that you can buy a smaller size than usual. That's exactly what I did. It looks like the Special Forces Ballet of the Bolshoi Theater.
Vladimir Tikovenko I didn't notice any shrinking after washing
Thank you! I think it will be interesting for everyone who plans to buy such pants. They look cool!
What size phone did you slide into the hip/mag pocket?
Any thoughts on these and concealed carrying? I would imagine the flex aspect helps with not needing to go up in normal waist size?
Riley and Jacob wear these pants daily. They say that despite the "stretch" you probably still need to go up one size in pants.
Hey Riley, I'm Riley also... lol
I have that knife
The look great but I called 5.11 and the length is only 36 inches so it won't fit most people 6'2'' and over, unless you have short legs. So for all you guys 6'2'' and over forget it.
ROMEMD Jesus skeletor, I’m 6’4” and a 34” works, but 36” is perfect. How long is your inseam??
@@8Jhartzell he is an upside down giraffe
These just look like normal pair of jeans, as opposed to these potato bags that so many Americans wear around.
Is this slim or straight?
Patz MyWay These are the slim-fit pants.
Bro that's not slim! That's way too baggy! People who walk around in straight cut jeans don't know how to dress. Gotta be dapper you know. The tacticool look is overdone.
