Riddles on Kazuya is literally a whole different demon. Anytime he hits an EWGF I literally just say the opponents dead cause he will always find a way to fucking obliterate a stock or do 100 plus percent 😂 😭
The thing is it's only Riddles who keep getting Top 8s solo Kazuya. No one else, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't nerfed because the data doesn't back it up and that is what they will look at 100%. Scratch that, Wildz has gotten one but that's recent and once. Still not enough.
Min Min wasn't getting a ton of results either and she got nerfed just because Japan hated her so much. Doramigi hadn't yet popped off at the time. The entire world thinks Kazuya is bullshit, so he is very high on the nerf list.
@XC11301991 according to Sakurai, every character has ~50% winrate online. But yeah killing any character after one hit or dealing 80% isn't healthy for game design, for me kazuya is worse than Steve
So when Riddles is the only one making major top 8s with Kazuya, nobody bats an eye, but when acola does the exact same with Steve, he’s carried and deserves the death threats? Sorry, I know this is completely unrelated and I’m not calling out anybody, but this fucking community is a hassle to deal with, man.
I feel like Riddles is especially a bad matchup for Leo because even when he had by far the best spacing the world with characters like Byleth and Aegis it just doesn’t matter when Riddles can get in with invincibility or just eat a trade and force into 40% or awful positioning which he then kills you from.
Not Gluto? I feel like Gluttony has been doing pretty well against Leo. Also I find it hilarious that Leo has NEVER taken a single game off of Shuton in a single set, not in Smash 4 or in Ultimate.
@@BlzOmega47-ud2kv I don't think they're going to take away 0TD. That's like Kazuya whole thing is 0TD. It's also to reminisce and faithful to Tekken long uninterrupted combo. If they are going to "Nerf" him. I felt like it will be some of the more niche aspects of Kazuya. Things like his reflector might get nerf or his tough guy as well. So that way you can say the character is "Technically" nerf. He is still going to TOD combo you though!!!
@@riqua27 it can be long/guaranteed/high damage combo(70~80%), but doesn’t have to kill. Even OTD via Akuma/Geese was deemed ridiculous in Tekken 7, which this version of kazuya is based around. If we want him to be faithful to his home series, make combos more reliable and consistent, rather than allowing him to kill from 0% because that is something kazuya CANNOT do in T7 without getting help from stage gimmicks like 3 breakable walls in Howard Estate.

I guess also Tag 1 but everyone can TOD in Tag 1 so that one didn't count. I don't think Smash Kazuya are meant to be 1:1 on Tekken 7 Kazuya. I mean Tekken 7 Kazuya is kinda a low High tier character anyway. I think he meant to be more of a Legacy Kazuya!!!

But yeah i get your point with past series having TOD, i would like to think the reason we don’t have those typically in later iterations (T6 ~T8) is because they are not ideal. We should consider the design criteria from T7 since that version is what ult kaz is based on with his rage drive OR possibly T8 version for the next installment with heat system. I personally think that if we were to be faithful to the series and mechanics T7 or T8, the combos should be lengthier than being more deadly.

Most of dlc, probably are no gonna make it in a new smash game because of that, one of them that im 100% its sora. Disney its pretty shit in term of permission
