Both are just so pretty, and I always love how variegated yarn works up when working in the round. The colourway always shows off so nicely. However, the iris pattern is so pretty, and looks like a sunset.
I love the Iris blanket pattern the best and the colors have a more relaxing feel to it. The granny merge square is too busy looking with that color yarn. Can't wait for the tutorial on the Iris pattern.

The colors are pooling beautifully on the Iris blanket, I think that would give you the best results. It's hard to tell how to those lovely colors will look unless you do work up several patterns. Great idea and great work.
