I also agree that GPA doesn’t equal intelligence. College isn’t for everyone neither AND THAT’S OKAY. It doesn’t mean you’re not smart or that you won’t be successful.
Well GPA is basically your grades converted into points. THe GPA system should be improved but it’s not supposed to determine how smart you are it’s supposed to determine how well you preform in school.

Even though they're legally an adult they still have a teenager brain (which is why I support the legal drinking age to be 21) Unpopular opinion 2: Whoever flipped and turned "Hot girl summer" into "h*e girl summer" there is something wrong with them. I really agree with the first point (I agree with all your points). Just because you’re 18 and 19, that doesn’t make you have the mindset of an adult automatically. You are legally an adult but mentally you’re not. You’re literally fresh outta high school and still have a teen mind. I think the reason why they made 18 and 19 the legal age of adult is to justify weird ass adults jumping at teenagers because “Oh well they’re outta High School so I can come at them”. It’s weird to me how you have grown men waiting for someone to turn 18. It basically screams “They’re fresh out of High School so they’re basically an adult but they still have that teenage mindset that I can manipulate” if that makes sense. It’s weird to me. I’ve seen some ppl say stuff like “Oh well I got a job at 18 so that makes me an adult” and I’m like and?? There are 15 yr olds with jobs but that doesn’t mean they’re an adult

I truly agree with the City Girls comment but am really conflicted on the topic. On one hand, women should be allowed to demonstrate their sexuality and if materialism is one of their love languages, should be allowed to exist without constantly feeling pressured to uphold an entire communities representation. That isn’t to say with their large platform there is a level of responsibility, but why should they be given so much credit of singlehandedly taking down black womens standards? That’s a lottt or pressure to put onto one group of people ( which is a pressure I’ve found to nearly always be exclusive to minorities). On the other hand, I am soooo sick and tired of seeing black women being extremely oversexualised and objectified. I’m aware sexuality and promiscuity has always been a topic of music and what’s topped the charts, however I would loveee to see more versatility in our representation. Like why can’t we have a black Taylor Swift, a black whimsical and girly Lana Del Ray (SZA has been embodying this really well) and a gothic Black Billie Ellish??? When are we going to get representation that actually demonstrates the versatility and beauty within us that isn’t objectified or made us look and seem like objects? I’m just so very tired
Tbh can we stop saying “black [insert white person]”. Cos sometimes these personality traits (goth, ditsy, preppy) or music genres (rock, country, indie) are not white only and plenty of black people listen to these genres and have these personality traits.
@@CrystalLovesChrist oh of course I in no way intended to imply black people couldn't possess those traits, in fact I was trying to suggest the opposite. Using them as examples of women that convey their artistic talents through other and often more difficult route than the usual sexualised and objectified way was the only reason I brought them up. We have plenty of women like Rico Nasty, Missy Elliot, SZA, Willow Smith, Zoe Kravitz, Zendaya, Beyonce etc but they are still a handful compared to the majority.
I like how you put that. White people don’t just support white businesses because they are white. They go to a service because of how they are treated and how reliable the business is. Black people need to hold themselves to the same standard in order to be successful all around.
White people don’t support/have to support white businesses since they dominate many business sectors but with black people we dont have as many businesses so we’re trying to support our own as well as the racism we face in stores or businesses that aren’t black owned white people never have to deal with that shit so it’s not comparable
I hate the term "black on black crime" it's just crime. And people who use these counter argument don't really care or advocate to stop the violence in the community
Great point and also proximity contributes to violence as well. Most cultures commit crimes against people in higher amounts to people in their own cultures as opposed to others anyways because of proximity. Violence should be addressed in all communities. I don’t like the calling out of specific cultures just to prove points. No we need to stop the violence period.

When calling someone fat, although I agree with what she said the word fat has a huge negative connotation, so you just shouldn’t be referring to someone as “that fat girl” or “that skinny girl” for that matter either. Many people have a lot of trauma related to the word “fat” so it’s not anyone else’s decision on whether they should get over it. As a bigger girl I can refer to myself as fat, other fat girls can say “us fat girls” referring to the group, but never look at me and refer to me as “the fat girl” “that fat girl” etc even if you are also big. Many bigger people have been ridiculed by not only peers in school, but at work, walking down the street, their “friends”, and most commonly their families. There is also deep rooted fatphobia in many racial and ethic communities. If you are average size or on the thinner size it is not up to you do decide whether or not you get to throw around the word “fat”. Unless someone says “you can call me fat” don’t say it because there’s a much bigger chance that they will be offended even if they don’t actually tell you their offended.

I don’t agree with shaming people for having access fat, but I do educate them with the facts as to why it would be best to let it go. 🤷🏽♀️
Yep. People act like being fat is the same is being black, or being a female. I don't like that. Your size is determined by the lifestyle choices that you make. I can't change my race or my sex. I can change my size. I can gain fat, lose fat, build muscle, etc.

Choosing to have access fat like I did is choosing to oppress your body unless you have an underlying condition that that is beyond your control. They’re dismissing the freeing experience and of choosing health. I don’t go around picking on people because they’re fat, however, when the conversation of weight does arise I make it my business to tell them that they’re doing their health a disservice as I KNOW because I was actually in their shoes. It comes from a place of love of people and not for a hate of access fat. I didn’t used to be skinny, so I can’t speak from a place of being skinny and unhealthy. I’m speaking as someone who used to be morbidly obese who naturally and healthily lost 105lbs after oppressing myself with obesity for so long. calling someone fat is not the same thing as calling someone skinny, all though it should be. The word fat has been surrounded with negative connotations that still exists. A majority of people are going to have more of a positive response to you calling them skinny rather than fat. And the reason why is because no one wants to be associated with all the negativity that surrounds the word fat.
As a skinny girl I most definitely agree. When someone calls another person fat they actually hurt the person a lot. I also believe people should not be talking about other folks weight anyway.

Unpopular opinion 4: If your moody and you have mood swings that doesn't make you bipolar. Being bipolar is not a joke.
Same. That's why I'm very selective with what rap songs I listen to. I get very tired of rap right now. Overall it's not versatile to me.
At least we got Willow Smith now😁
Tbh can we stop saying “black [insert white person]”.
But white folks have never had to consciencely support white businesses because all businesses began as white here in America.
White people don’t support/have to support white businesses since they dominate many business sectors but with black people we dont have as many businesses so we’re trying to support our own as well as the racism we face in stores or businesses that aren’t black owned white people never have to deal with that shit so it’s not comparable

Some Black businesses definitely use the "support black businesses" as a crutch. A lot of them have been known to be very disrespectful, entitled, and rude. Examples, not responding to their client on the day of appointment, complaining online about braiding natural hair, having all sorts of ridiculous rules, I was watching a youtuber who said it took someone 6 hrs to do her nails because she didn't have the necessary equipment. It's things like that makes it very difficult sometimes. I think there is right/wrong because there are consequences to our decisions and actions. I know a lot of things depend on individual perspective but some things don't.
I totally agree with your comment!
I wholeheartedly agree
Definitely agree!

Unpopular opinion: ppl go to HBCUS primarily for the name and for the culture rather than the program for their majors lol.
My dad and sister dad own businesses but they don’t want people to just support it because their black owned but because their business is professional and does a great job.
On that fat shaming tip, as someone that was 250lbs (105lbs ago), my opinion is even more “unpopular.” I feel like nowadays it’s popular to be fat and there are far too many people identifying AS fat even though it’s something that can be changed and something that one SHOULD change, because it’s literally extremely unhealthy. I don’t identify people who having an access of fat AS fat. You possess fat and you can get rid of that. Don’t allow it to be a character trait that you keep.
@@Angi3maname EXACTLY! People act like they’re oppressed because they’re fat nowadays not realizing they’re oppressing themselves by potentially shortening their lifespan. Everyone wants to play the oppression Olympics instead of actually fixing what’s wrong with them. Being black is “unfixable.” There’s absolutely NOTHING we can do to unblack ourselves, but for some reason EVERYONE wants to compare their lifestyle choices to our existence and it just doesn’t make sense.
@@a.d.baebee Fatphobia is literally rooted in systemic oppression, also you act like everyone's the same and that it's easy to lose weight (losing weight isn't just a physical struggle but a mental one as well). Some of y'all only focus on the outside appearance to determine whether someone is healthy or not. Being skinny doesn't automatically mean healthy just like having more weight doesn't equate to being unhealthy. Stop dismissing people's experiences because you think it's "oppression Olympics."
@@Angi3maname Your size is determined by genetics and metabolism. To say they are overweight because of the lifestyle they have isn't accurate (obviously for some people it is the reason but not for everyone).
@@Prettydiaries_rissa the vast majority of people who struggle with loosing weight have unhealthy relationships with food. My initial comment said NOTHING about outer appearance. I specifically said people identify too much as the outer appearance (ie. being fat) to the point they don’t think they can lose weight. I was fat my entire life until I chose better for myself.
To preach to love being fat is to do a disservice to those who need to lose weight. People are preaching to love being fat instead of loving themselves enough to get rid of the access fat.
Unpopular opinion: men hate women in the se,x industry but love supporting women in the se,x industry. E.g. p,orn hub, only fans, strip club ect
It not hate they just don’t respect them and they support it because they worship sex of that makes sense they won’t be in a relationship with one but the reason why they support it is simply because they worship sex and it usually becomes they can’t get it

calling someone fat is not the same thing as calling someone skinny, all though it should be.
Yup alot of people would take it as a compliment if you called them skinny, if we’re being real. 🤷🏽♀️
Agreed!!
100% agree. idk why people have recently been trying to put fat shaming and skinny shaming in the same category. Like yes both are bad but lets not act like bigger people haven't faced more cruel jokes, embarrassment, and just overall social oppression.
True
I 100% agree with the black business opinion. I know people who have been scammed by young black girls selling merchandise. A lot of black businesses have horrible customer service and do not know how to do business. They show up late and can be hard to deal with. If you have bad customer service I will not support and that goes for ALL businesses.
There needs to be more awareness on how to conduct a business I know white people teach there children how to professionally run a business we should too
@@godsgirl7201 I agree. I think if you’re starting a business, you should have that professionalism component, and that goes for white businesses and black businesses. I just notice that black people tend to lack professionalism at a higher rate.
Your right they did ruin black women they expect all these Materialistic things from men 🤦♀️
There’s nothing wrong with materialism being one of your love languages, it’s just in today’s society materialistic lifestyles are valued over morals and ethicality. That’s where I draw the line. Your love can literally be BOUGHT. How many times will these women be abused and cheated on for money?
Right. I don’t think there’s nothing wrong with buying gifts for your loved one. My issue is that at this point, the materialism isn’t about giving it out of love but more so of giving out gifts to trap someone in a relationship. Like the comment above said, nowadays love is bought. There’s too much normalization of “If your man buys you an expensive item, ignore the abuse and stay with his ass” and it shouldn’t be like that.

I think the City Girls are getting too much flack considering the foundation they came onto. They walked into a rap game with the essence of Trina and Cardi B’s and matched that energy, so to blame them alone for damaging the BW standard is a bit unfair.
So Trina wasn’t out before the City Girls?? And who fault is it that they can’t separate entertainment from reality??
I get what you're saying but like constantly rapping about being prostitutes, scamming, all sorts of negative things. Music is influential, especially when consumed at a vulnerable age. They can't even make it subliminal. Also, they do what they talk about so naturally, their fans will follow unfortunately
Bibata Sankara I get where your coming from but they never signed up to be role models there parents should monitor what they children are listening to and yes I understand they can’t shield their kids from everything but they can inform them that that’s not the way they should want to live and instill in them better values so they know entertainment from reality
In my honest opinion The City Girls are way worse than Trina. Also Trina came out at different era back when ppl could think for themselves and didn’t praise df out of celebrities
Unpopular opinion: the negativity that celebrities causes get more traction than positive.
That's a fact.
Agree and it’s affecting the music too. It seems that the only way to get more streams on songs is to create negative controversy. It’s no longer about simply being talented and creative. You can be the most mediocre artist but if you can create some type of negative public stir then you’ll skyrocket on the charts.
I agree, however, if celebrities keeps bringing negativity to their brand then that’s what they’re going to more known for.
I’m sorry but why blame the city girls and not the black regular women constantly supporting them and blasting their music?
