You set the pool length at the start of your swim. That's the only input required, the rest is handled automatically.

@@FringeWizard2 You would set the pool size in the goggles when you start your swim. The connection with a Garmin watch is for open water only.

Can you use this in competition
The goggles are not FINA approved but they may be usable during open water or triathlon races - we recommend checking with the organizers of the race you are participating in.

I have a few questions. I will be using my goggles for the 1st time tomorrow. Do I have to set my custom pool size every time I go back to the same pool, or can.the goggles or app remember my custom setting? 2nd question. I'm having trouble seeing the battery Icon on the upper right side of the goggles once I put them on. Should the remaining battery power icon be in my field of view as I swim, or only the swim metrics? One last question. How does the goggle currently calculate calories burned without a heart rate monitor? What formula are you using to determine that and how accurate is it when compared to a chest strap monitor. Thanks.
Hi! You would have to set the pool size before every swim. However, we have preset options for standard pool sizes.

Do these show heart rate and does it calculate calories burned? Looking to replace my polar OH1 while swimming. How does it calculate pool length? Is it predetermined pool measurements only or can I adjust it for smaller pools? My current pool is only 60feet long/20 Yards. Can that value be placed into the goggles for pool distance? Thanks.
Hi there! For pool length, you can either use presets or set a custom pool length in meters or yards. As for heart rate, stay tuned. We'll have more to share on that point very soon. :)

Just ordered in UK and courier wouldn’t deliver until I paid $75 import tax on top off $26 delivery cost charged by Form. Leaving my goggles over $300. Not worth it. Rip off.

How do those work if you're very nearsighted and need glasses to read? My normal swim glasses are prescription.
A lot of our swimmers use vision correction! The data floats in front of your eyes so that you don't need to focus on it to read it!

@@lexington476 We've found that most people with milder prescriptions are able to see the metrics, however if you need vision correction to see while swimming, you may have trouble seeing the display too. We're sorry about that!
@@FORMswim yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking, I was never able to use a pair of Google Glasses because I'm so nearsighted. And I wear prescription goggles to be able to see the swim.

Why I can't change top dashboard settings? I know that this functionality used to work before. Will that be fixed? I feel seriously disappointed as I don't really need my workout timer and I can’t change it.

The goggles are not able to hold a prescription, however, if you're able to see the pool without vision correction, you should also be able to see the display well.

Can I use the goggle without adding my credit card? I don't need nor want to subscribe right now, not even even for 1 year free membership. I just want to use the goggles. If not possible to use it, the goggles aren't the product but the membership is, and this is going to hurt users and eventfully the company. Hopefully they didn't make this BIG MISTAKE.
These look like such a good idea. I have blown £500 on two Apple Watches that are absolutely rubbish - the Watches break down after 9 to 12 months and they disconnect from iPhone connectivity
That is NOT the same display technology found in fighter jets lol HUD's starting in the late 1980's HUDs found in the F-16 Block 40/42 and F-15E already had raster graphics and today the Helmet Mounted Display System in the F-35 is full color and can project video. This is a very simple monochrome matrix display.
Yes, you’re right - this is much more basic (nowhere near as complex as a fighter pilot cockpit system), but conceptually, we’re certainly offering a heads-up display that augments a swimmers experience - showing them their real-time performance swim metrics.
