What did you think about that type of test? I was a little apprehensive at setting it up. I didn't really know how it would play out compared to swapping between them. You have been a great regular commenter on the channel, and I always really appreciate your feedback on these videos!
@@Qualizar Here are my opinions. The stereo test is very unique. We can immideately picked up the tonality.. It may be not accurate because we tend to prefer the ;louder; audio, which means certain mic's sound signature may win. Examples, mic with mid forwrd sound. This test may be useful to find better mc for voice/podcast where we wand to makes aour voice more ;clear than others. So, the test is not for accurate sound recording, and we still need keep the 'standard' test format. There are issues, such as 1. Needs 'equal' aoutput sound level, in RMS dbFS. 2. Well balanced end user's audiou playback devices. Other than that, the human factors too, but we cannot control that. :) Anyway, very nice try, and I like it. Kit it shart and try to read or speak words with 'ch', 's', ... from the same text, for about 10-20 seconds Hope my opinions are useful. Thank you.
Dude, this awesome and that side by side comparison was a great idea! Is the Elgato wave 3 compatible with external devices like the iPhone and common HD cameras? Thanks in advance
To be honest, I'm using the Rode NT USB Mini already 3 years now. Watching this video with the exact pointing of when you use which microphome, the quality is pretty much the same, not the exact same. For people that are using a microphone a lot for streaning or discord calls. I must say, I'm trying to confince myself to by the Elgato Wave 3, ONLY because of the physical mute button on the mic itself. Is it worth it to buy the Elgato Wave 3, if I use the Rode USB Nt-Mini already?
Quality is definitely similar! For me I think it's going to be that on-mic mute button, plus the clip guard is next level.
Very good & thanks to this comparison Chris. Now I could finally decide. I am looking forward to the Elgato Wave 3...
I like the way you compare the sound the whole video!! Keep doing great mate 🎉
Thank you Chris, nice comparison
In the 'stereo' comparison, I think I like the right channel's audio. It has more mids and easier to listen to.
Thank you.

Yes it is! I have used my Wave:3 with an OTG connector and my cell phone before.

For monitoring, what bitrate and hz does the built in 3.5mm output support? Does it support lossless?
by watching your video, i think the wave 3 is lot better and more basser!
And 3 times the price.
They sound so similar that the elegato software takes it here
nice video chris, keep it up
