Thanks and glad I could give an example of it in action, it was all hand held so it has reasonably good stabilisation. You should have many hours of fun plane spotting with it as well :)
Good question, it all comes down to how far you want to zoom. If I'm reasonably close, I'll leave it at 24x Optical or even 32x Intelligent Digital but if I'm, let's say filming planes at a distance I'll leave it at 70x digital and even when they are coming closer, I won't change it as it can become quite tiresome changing the settings constantly. It will still give good quality at 70 and beyond in close-ups.
@@grantar7790 awesome !!! Appreciate it your help a lot ! I was wondering if using it at 70 would loose some of the quality on the video But so far so good I went a few times to catch some planes and love it so far .
There is video quality loss going from 24x Optical to 70x Digital. I noticed it today when shooting and getting back home and looking over it. If you are happy with the closeness of the zoom in at 24x Optical, I would leave it at that. Far away shots, then 70x. I would change the settings to suit the type of zoom, it can be painstaking changing the settings but that is pretty much what I have done. An example is at full zoom at 24x Optical, the picture will be nice and clear right to the end but a full zoom at 70x Digital can get a bit fuzzy at the end. All the settings have advantages and disadvantages, hope this helps 🙂
You're right, the weather was certainly nice enough 🌞. I will probably do one more video like this but I'd like to get the international carriers next time, I've heard Kyeemagh beach is a good place for that, I'll see how I go. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a nice day at work 🙂🌻
Here comes that feeling again of the big, wide world, and the yearning to go to faraway, exotic places! Btw: Do you collect all these Pictures of the different Aircraft and Airlines, like the planespotters, or is it just the interest and fascination for this kind of engeneering? And, considering the zoom, there’s hardly any shake in your captures. You have quite a steady hand!✈
Thanks for the compliment in regards to the steady hand, you're right, it is quite challenging filming and zooming into a moving target. I didn't take any pictures there although there were people there who were, they had some pretty impressive cameras with zooms around a foot long and taking multiple rapid shots, you may have heard the sounds of them in the video. Probably wouldn't class myself as a plane spotter, like you said, more of an interest and fascination for that kind of engineering. I think the next time I go down there, I'll go to the other side of the airport where the international carriers take off, I've got a bit of practice in now so hopefully I'll be able to capture some decent footage. Glad you enjoyed this video and thanks for watching :)
Thanks, glad you liked this one, agreed, a big improvement to the one last year, it was shot with a much better camera and filmed in 4K rather than in 1080P.

@@grantar7790 that’s what I’m hoping for !! As for the settings do you usually change them a lot while shooting a video of you leave it as it is ?

Thanks for watching, no external mic with this one.
Much improved version.

Panasonic hcv1?
Thankyou for watching. The footage was shot with a Panasonic HC-VX1, I think Panasonic released it in around 2018.
