Nice to see that Hainan are continuing service to TLV. Interesting that a 777 is used on such a short flight. Maybe many are connecting from Larnaca. My aunt had a picture taken in 1950 of my grandmother boarding an EL AL Curtis 46 to Nicosia, Cyprus.
13:57 I was just wondering there is a plane that is painted all white and doesn't seem to be associated with any airlines. Does anyone know the reason for this?
I flew one of these (leased by Egypt Air) when I flew from Cairo to Tel Aviv a long time ago in 1992 when flights between Egypt & Israel weren't the standard like now, even though there's been a ☮️ Agreement between Egypt & Israel since 1979.
@@benschaeffer8102 i have filmed Egypt air a couple of times here in Tel Aviv, ua-cam.com/video/6wszczMfeGM/v-deo.htmlsi=YZdd9WceF8HAH7AJ & More videos i have from 2 years ago, but since the war no more
@@benschaeffer8102 As an Israeli, I remember bus line 100 from Tel Aviv to Cairo via Rafah. It was in the eighties and I was a kid then. The trip was planned to take 10 hours (actually it took longer due to delays at the border crossing). In 1990 the service was discontinued. I have always liked public transport
@@morgweta4615 You know, I had heard about the Egged 100 Bus to Cairo from Tel Aviv via Rafah, BUT, back in 1992 (aside from Bus 100 being discontinued two years prior), there was also STILL some lingering conflict and unrest from the First Intifada, so we felt it was prudent to avoid the vicinity of Gaza. Besides, the IDF wouldn't let my friend Yigal and I into Gaza ANYWAY. We tried to no avail. We went from Eliat through the border at Taba into Sinai instead, it was just the easiest way.
@s.z.aviation It was back in 1995. It was whatever series of 737 El Al was operating back in the 90's -- probably one of the FirstGen 737's. You could easily look it up I'm sure. 👍
My guess is because Larnaca is one of the few routes out of Israel at the moment. Most carriers aren't flying to Israel now so many Israelis are flying en masse to Cyprus then switching to low cost carriers from there.
Amazingly narrow corridor/aisle and the pitch in Economy is not adequate, in my humble opinion. I suppose there is no meal service in this very short haul flight from TLV and NIC.
Nicosia Airport was abandoned in 1974 after the civil war when the country was divided between the Turkish and Greek sectors. It is a ghost area. It's like former beach resort Famagusta. The pitch is no different than most European or US airlines.
@@semsemeini7905 During the video the uploader shows the personal screen in front of him and the route: the plane is heading to Nicosia (well, Cyprus, anyway).
@@MultiSUPERLATIVO I believe Nicosia is referenced on the map as the capital of Cyprus with its main airport situated in Larnaca (LCA) about 35km out. ElAl also flies to the 2nd airport of the island, Pafos (PFO) to the west of the country.

Larnaca has been the biggest connection hub for Israelis after all the cancelations
Water of eden! Nice!

Shalom 💙 Hope to fly ElAl again soon 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Pretty unusual to see planes departing from runway 08. I only recall ever taking off from that runway once.
Love to Cyprus from Armenia
When I went from Tel Aviv to Larnaca (this was a LONG time ago) on El Al, it was a 737 that I flew.
Do you remember which 737? 800?

I love El Al Boeing 777-300ER
Love ELAL. There shall be peace on the UJA Walk With Israel, Peace in Israel. Love Aviation.
During takeoff is the view of the plane from the ground the actual plane that you took off in?
Yes, that was the plane I was on.
Why such an airplane for so short distance

צילמת את זה עם מצלמה נכון? איזה מצלמה יש לך?
God bless this country ❤❤❤❤
Seats look a bit old hu? However, nice footage.
מה הסיכוי שמטוס כזה גדול טס ללרנקה, כאלה מטוסים מוציאים רק לאמריקה וכו'. ממש מוזר
טסים גם קרוב שצריך
ממש רואים את ההשקעה בסרטון
Sending best wishes to Israel.🇮🇱 😊
I never new Israeli clapping after the flight 😂😂😂
Not sure if its the norm or the fear coming from war

Iam surprised to see the solidariteit of the emirates with their fellow brother/sisters. Which is non existent. Still flying their planes lol.
They know what's really going on.
Самый отвратительный сервис зато цены космические8😮😮😮😮
Fly Dubai....I thought they didn't fly to Israel
They have around 8 flights a day
Never fly by Apartheid Airlines
Because such an airline does not exist, just like Palestine, the nowhere land.
