I have had the Sketer 4s for about 2 months now and figured now was a good time to do a 5 Reasons to buy a Sketer vid!

I have the Skeeter, too. It's a good RC basher.
It just needs bigger tires, punch level 5, 16t pinion, dual fans and heatskink on the motor and 50% brake. After only one run, I love mine! Thanks for the video. Skateparks and concrete landings destroy every single RC. That's why I don't like landing on concrete

Buy tekno rigs if you want the ultimate handling as well as durability. Tekno is what arrma, corally and traxxas are trying to be.

I think the Sketer 4s is a great RC Truck and even though its not the best looking truck out there it is definitely one of the best value for money RC cars you can buy! You may disagree and feel free to drop a comment down below if you think there is a better 1/10 scale truck out there. The MT10 is another excellent choice but it is smaller, has less metal components and feels less sturdy. That said it is still a very solid choice. Would you buy a Sketer over a Traxxas Maxx? Is the Maxx worth the extra money?

Seems I am building a small fleet which was never my intention. I picked up a barely used Skater for 200 which I think is a great price and its a great truck. I am sure there are people that will rave about other trucks but all I know is when my Son an I run the Skater we have so much fun, its very easy to drive, feels very solid and durable and is plenty fast enough. Never say never but right now I can't imagine us needing more...

The uggly shell you learn to love, plus it's the perfect car to grow with, the 1/8 scale drive train can take loads more power. And the upgrades are endless.

You can't put maxx and skeeter on same sentence to be honest..Max is bulett proof compared to skeeteer..I had skeeteer for Short period od time, chassis bends Like paper, drifeshft are bending, shock Towera, arms, PINS, etc.. maxx is really bulletproof compared to it, never has any issue with chassis, Towers, etc..

I have been an off road basher for a long time thinking about picking one of these up because it looks like it's built like a tank. What pinion pitch do they run on the skeeter?

Not in the same league dude. Do enjoy the 144001 but nowhere near a sketer 👍😉
Rival MT10 at £285-290 makes more sense than Sketer at £400.
I think its worth the extra £110. Larger, more stable at speed, just as durable, 4s compared to 3s ready, 1/8th components in 1/10 platform (diffs) so is extremely upgradable. I do agree the mt10 is great and priced just right. The sketer is good for a solid 4s beast 😎

Exactly paul! The 1/8 parts alone make it worth the extra money and the size!! It's a big boy 🤷🤣
Its a awesome platform you can use the axles and hubs from Kronos and make it little wider .
The arrma granite hits 52mph with a 3s. No mods!
Of course it features plastic construction and weighs about 2kg less!
Granite: 2.83kg
Sketer: 4.45kg
Sketer features so many metal components as apposed to granite!
I have both and prefer the feel of the sketer!

I can't see any normal people who save up and spend the $650 ( here is Australia) would treat it like you did here.. Drilling it onto the railing and nose dart into the concrete.. I get why you do it for the channel though..
If Team Corally offer me one: I promise I will stop buying more 144001.

Gotta say.....Other than youtubers trying to promote products and Kevin Talbot fanboi clingers on. In 35years of RC car'ing I can quite honestly say that Ive never seen any body trashing RC cars that they have parted with over £300 for the sake of it. And if they do then they are obviously brain dead, dont know the value of money or havnt paid for it themselves. So I kind of find these types of rc abuse utter BS !!......Thats just my opinion of course
