@alnfong1228 Thank you!! Thanks for watching! I am going to make a video soon of some stuff I missed that I should have prob added but didnt want to make the video too long since we all have short attention spans these days haha!!!
I Love my 2024 RST. The 754 hp and 785 ft/lb is wicked fast. The 24 inch factory wheels look RAD. Chevy makes good pick up trucks. The 2025 Trail Boss will be released next month and I cannot wait to see them out in the wild too. Too bad about RAM, looks like they are dying a slow death over there.
Good looking truck. I run a oil field company out in West Texas we have a few trail bosses with the 6.2 L in them they all they have over 200,000 miles on them in about 2 1/2 years We also just purchased about six or seven months ago two ZR2's with that little minimax diesel and they both have over 70,000 miles on them and each one of them has been nothing but a pain in our butt. Or white one has had two engines in it already and the other one has been back to the shop at least three times for some sort of egr or def system trouble. They are getting traded off the second week of January when we get the gasoline models in. Or gasoline models with the 200+ thousand miles on them have over 3000 idle hours on them, you can't idle that little mini max, especially out in any type of heat, they will overheat sitting there in one spot, but then again I am talking about West Texas
@golfbravowhiskey8669 that's some nice info. All engines have issues I know the 6.2s and even the durable 5.3s lately 🤷♂️. I think it's lucking out on when it was built these days. Just like the covid years you didn't want any of those years!
I have a 2024 ZR2 3.0L DuraMax with 12K. I use in crop consulting in TX panhandle and it runs 12+ hours straight, idling 30%+ of time in summer many days over 100. No issues at all overheating. I had a 23 ZR2 used same way and no issues at 40K when traded off. But my MPG is 35% better with 3.0L and diesel is $0.30-0.40/gal cheaper than 93 octane.
@RussellFrench-f8r Thanks for watching and yes can't go wrong with the Silverado and Sierra trucks no matter what engine! It's just the luck of the draw on how they were built at the factory 🤷♂️😁
Awesome walk-around of the 2024 ZR2! The 35s and diesel engine really make this truck stand out. Your comparison to previous trucks was super helpful for anyone considering upgrading to the ZR2. If you’re looking to add even more style and functionality to your setup, Lasfit has some great LED truck lights and floor mats that would be a perfect fit for your Silverado. Let me know if you’d be interested in testing them out for a future video. Keep up the great content!
@FahadZR2 Hi thank you!! I actually have a video on them on my page when installed on my other Silverado. They are just led trailer side marker lights. 😁👍
Looks really good! Can you tell me a little about the camera system? If you installed a cap on these beds, can you still get the "surround view" maybe using the tailgate camera instead of the bed camera? Not sure I'm asking the question the right way... Anyway, I love the look of that ZR2 w/Duramax!
@davelynn9890 a cap as in a camper shell? Yes still should see all other views. All the other cameras work off the tailgate, mirrors, grille, etc. I think the only view you would lose is the bed view. I didn't show another view it offers but there are cool trailer views but if you saw in my other video they aren't highlighted to click on unless trailer connected. Thanks for watching!!
@haws1458 Hi thanks for watching and no you wouldn't want to run wheel spacers would rub worse. Stay away from them they are hard on the wheel bearings if you can 👍👍
@ericp1969 no it's stock height no level or lift. The ZR2s are like the TrailBoss's they have a factory 2" lift so that's how the 35s fit pretty easy. Thanks for watching!!
@@banshee2see thanks for the info I just got mine a few weeks ago i have upgraded to a borla atak cat back and a put a performance intake. i am getting a error code we believe we need a y-pipe to correct it according to borla
I am researching for new rims and tires fro my 2024 ZR2 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Diesel Bison 4x4 Crew cab and would like to know if you needed to do any extra stuff for the 35's and which brand and size did you go with? Thanks for replying
@Patsox1024 hi thanks for watching you will love it!! What truck did you have before? No suspension work not even level because I wanted it to still fit in garage and it sneaks in with an 1" clearance haha!
@ that makes sense. Do you rub at all? I had a 21’ Z71 Tahoe. I planned on doing 22x12s with 35s on the ZR2. I see everyone running a 4” lift kit (6” total) with that wheel/tire combo.
@Patsox1024 yeah if you are doing 12 wide will prob need a lift forsure. The rub I had was the inner fender liner so did the lower bracket delete. Lightly rubs at full turn still but not bad.
What’s the mpg you’re getting with the 6.2 v8? And is it true you only supposed to use premium gas? I’m planning on getting the ZR2 in black but can’t decide on gas or diesel.
Curious, are these seat more comfortable, (more cushion to them) compared to your Trail Boss? Thanks man truck is awesome! I have a 2020 Silverado RST and the seats are narrow and very hard. Thinking of switching to ZR2 or another brand unfortunately.
@fit4ya1975 Hi thanks for watching video and the comment....I don't have a problem with them comfy wise and I am in my trucks all day but I actually always preferred cloth because they are always a little softer and less temperature control needed to keep them from freezing and or burning ya even with the heated and cool functions. 😁👍
@keithhibbitts7506 hey yes when your turn all the way I have a small rub on lower inner fender with tire even with bracket removed. I could probably trim it or tie it back further but I am too lazy and it's not bad haha. If you search for other video I kinda show where that bracket is.
Hi thanks for watching!! I've had TIS before and also their wheels no issues!! The ones you wanna stay away from are forceum, westlake, venom, etc haha. Most tire places tell you to not rotate offroad style tires, don't listen always rotate them they will wear 10x better.... I've been doing it for years!!
@thelonglastexpert Hi I haven't really took it just on the highway long enough. I am averaging 19.2 right now because I have been leaving it running more since colder out now. I would guess If you ran highway only it would be 24ish even with the 35s. It's better then any gas engine mph that's forsure. 👍.
@thelonglastexpert Also my buddy at work just bought a brand new 2500 which is a little heavier but he did the 6.6 gas engine and he is bummed he is running 14 mpg. Hahaha
@thelonglastexpert yeah I don't know anyone with high mileage on these. I know just like the gas engines they all have had issues 🤷♂️. On another note hopefully the fuel mileage even gets better the more miles put on these like most diesels 😁
@robertannable9584 Hi thanks for watching! I've had them before and no issues these aren't the cheap ones like westlakes, forceum, venom, etc lol. Now those I agree! People these days say not to rotate for some reason on offroad tires that's a lie don't fall for that always rotate will wear 10x better!!!
Awesome set-up!!!

Would you have a video on how much you trimmed to fit those 35" . Thanks again,. man 👍🏻
@alnfong1228 yes good idea I will add that in video also!
@@banshee2see yes please make a video showing what/how you trimmed to clear the wheel/tire package? Thanks

Looks awsome.
Would love to have that diesel engine, but I love my Ram Rebel.
@darthenx2585 Yeah I hear ya I had a few Rams and still love them but the GMs just drive smoother 👍👍
Looks good dude.
@Encourageable Thank you and thanks for checking it out!!

The back of the hood "ornament" blinds me on mine everyday after work. Eventually I'll learn and put a satin wrap on that part of it.

Do you remember the backspacing on your wheels?
@haws1458 hey yes they are 22x10 -19 and my trailboss in other video had smaller wheel but same offset 20x10 -19 if that helps your decisions 😁👍
Yes that helps, thank you
did you have to raise the truck to fit the 35's ?? thanks
