Uncommon Valor is a terrific movie watched it back in the day when it first hit home video and have loved it ever since! Actually this is a really good list in my opinion without a dud amongst them!
Wow! I haven’t seen much of the movies you mentioned in your top ten of 83. Your number 9 has one of my favorite quotes, “ we’re doing it for Johnny.” I quote this from time to time hehe. Great video bro.
83 was an amazing year for Movies and as people have mentioned Psycho 2 and 10 to midnight were awesome and I would like to give a shout out for The Dead Zone with Christopher Walken and one movie that is a personal fave but got slaughtered by most critics back in the day and that is the remake of Breathless with Richard Gere.
TOP 10 MOVIES OF 1983: 1. Return Of The Jedi 2. The Right Stuff 3. A Christmas Story 4. Terms Of Endearment 5. Scarface 6. Vacation 7. Baby It's You 8. Sububria 9. El Norte 10. Bad Boys
Great list! Why weren't Halloween 3 or Risky Business not on your list? What's the matter with you? 😅 jk Anyway, return of the Jedi....iconic! Loved the score! Would love to see top 10 Christmas movie list. I also love Christmas movies. Scrooged is probably my favorite
@@williamseerden5731 hahahaha I know right, I gotta watch Risky Business and Halloween 3! Lol. I agree about Return of the Jedi! And bro Scrooged will ABSOLUTELY be on my top 10 Christmas list!!!
I loved Halloween 3, especially as a kid in the mid to late 80s, i watched it at least once a week when i was between 6 and 10. I still like it now, but just watch it much less, and prefer some of the Michael Myers ones. As for the date i just noticed my own mistake, The House On Sorority Row on my list here should be in 1982 lol.
Cinema Sermon love the lists. But, I have a feeling you have not seen The Right Stuff one of the most entertaining 3 hour movies you will ever see. Promise. True story about the 7 Mercury Astronauts that included John Glenn and first 'free man' in space Alan Shephard. Ed Harris and Scott Glenn play Glenn and Shepherd respectively, with Fred Ward and Dennis Quaid playing test pilots, "star voyager" in training Gus Grissom and Gordo Cooper.
Not personally one of my favourite years of the 80s, but it still had a lot of good ones. My top 15 are: 15 Sweet Sixteen 14 Christine 13 National Lampoon's Vacation 12 American Nightmare 11 The Lift 10 Cujo 9 Amityville 3D 8 Monty Python The Meaning Of Life 7 The House On Sorority Row 6 Sleepaway Camp 5 Trading Places 4 Psycho 2 3 Octopussy 2 Sudden Impact 1 10 To Midnight
@@jonbolton3376 Psycho 2 is underrated!!! Great list!!! But yes I agree, not my favorite year of the decade. I'm excited for my 1985 video coming up!!!

@@carloshernandez-bm7hp thanks brother!!!! And right on!
I agree Trading Places is a great film, but we both know why Randy in Scream loved it lol. I admit that is an obvious bonus, but i love the film too.

I think in terms of numbers of films i love in a single year, 1990 has to be my overall favourite.

Wargames is a thriller with a good story from 1983.
