Well video - Inspiring and Enabling Recovery - A Lived Experience Approach
This video highlights the benefits of helping people to recover from drug and alcohol addiction, mental health problems etc, using a lived-experience approach. People who work at The Well have a knowledge, understanding, and lived experience of what service-users who come to them are going through as they have been in their shoes already and can relate and understand to work collaborative to support.
Kerry and Ged explain how people with lived experience can help various individuals to work through their problems as their team already understand and have experience of being in that place themselves. All their staff and volunteers have lived-experience.
