    RC dentist at work!
    I use a set of smallish channel locks to press the top cover of the servo off. But your method looks to work just as well, actually probably better as you have more leverage. The tape is a nice added touch to protect the finish on the servo.

      Thanks Eugene!
      The first one I did I was second guessing if this part of the servo really comes off because it was so hard to pop using your thumbs. lol

    I have the Pn racing anima Hstg servo. Will this replacement gear parts kit also work with my PN anima servo?

    • @tjaymacRC
      @tjaymacRC  10 місяців тому

      I'm not sure. I've only opened A06CLS V2 20T servo and this kit is for that.

      @@tjaymacRC which servo will you recommend or At least the one you think is the best for RX28.

      @@popitn2nd I’ve only tried the Reflex and A06CLS and I can’t tell the difference. I think they’re the same. In my personal RX28’s, I only use Reflex Racing servo.

    Do reflex racing servo have titanium gears? Or aluminum?

    Thank you, Tj! I blew up a servo yesterday 😂.
    I have a question unrelated to this video. I got a lexan car yesterday. I notice you use the mako x body. do you notice a difference, or is there a difference between using that body versus something like the PN sedan or any other body?

      Perfect timing on the video! ;)
      I use the Mako GT, part number is RAD002. I don't think I have the Mako X (yet). Do I notice the difference between the Mako GT vs other lexan bodies, yes sir! That's a pretty noticeable difference especially if you're used to running a certain body. For example my cars with the GT body and then recently, I got an ARES-1 body and the difference is noticeable in feel and lap times.
      Why the Mako GT? Because: 1) the front bumper is round and smooth, 2) doesn't catch the rails, 3) has a nice balance feel - Its not front heavy or rear heavy, although I did trim the spoiler by a lot., 4) thicker so it lasts long (mine is almost 1 y/o in April) but not too heavy. Mine is still pretty light at 14.2 grams.
      I can't recommend any other bodies atm other than Mako GT since I don't like testing bodies because I don't like prepping and painting. I wish I can just buy bodies already painted white with body posts holes in it already. lol

      @tjaymacRC Perfect time indeed! I
      got the car used, and it came with a SubRC JX sedan body. My local shop (Wolfram) only has the Mako X. We really don't seem to have a body preference at the track. I may buy a couple of different styles to try them out and put basic paint jobs on them, or I could just paint them and send them for you test... New video idea!

      @justinjames4969 - That's good. At least the cars looks different from each other. Locally most of us are running the same body.
      Appreciate that man, thank you but no testing for me atm. I just spent the last 1.5 months trying to find good tire combo for my Mod and trying to get my non-SE RX28 in the Mod speed. I've learned a lot in the process but it just takes me forever to do the tests. Luckily this Mini-Z is very convenient vs when I'm doing test on my mountain bikes. Anyway, I do appreciate you looking out, just not ready to do any tests. I said the same to manufacturers. Sorry Justin, thank you.

      @tjaymacRC No problem! It was just a thought. You seem to be able to put way more laps in than I can in a month lol. I'm always down to help others in the hobby, especially when they give back like you do.

      @@justinjames4969 - I enjoy watching the car lean while driving it on the track and I average around 2k laps a week. Just driving around and around until my hand hurts. lol I just really enjoy watching it. Doesn't matter if I'm by myself or with others, I can stand there for hours.
      That's awesome man! I help whenever I can and this channel is helping me out a lot by just sending the links to the drivers as opposed to re-typing everything again or verbally explaining it in person. I'm glad its helping non-local drivers as well.
      Thanks Justin!!

    Hello again Tjay. I got another question. I have 2 mr-03 that will lose forward throttle only. Everything else still functioning ( reverse, steering ok). Any idea why?. There is one thing in common with both chassis. I put the Xspeed motor in them. Let me know your thoughts. Or if anyone in your club may know what it is.

      Hi, It's probably best to post this question on Facebook Group Page: Mini-Z Community, but it sounds like burnt your FETs (MOSFET) but I'm not 100% sure.

      @tjaymacRC that's what I thought but it will start to work again if I mess around with it and I ain't sure what it is that I do to get it to work again or what is making it stop. I am not on Facebook. Thanks for the reply. I try and watch your videos so when I am ready for the rx28 then I will know some in's and outs about it. Thanks again

      @@twistedbeardcreations2588 - Do you have MR03 RWD or MR03 EVO? If RWD, that motor should work on that car without doing anything to the board. If EVO, you will need to setup the ICS for brush motor since this board (MR03 EVO) is defaulted to brushless motor.

    • @twistedbeardcreations2588
      @twistedbeardcreations2588 11 місяців тому

      @tjaymacRC mr-03 Rwd. The cars I have that are still stock have been running everyday for almost 10 months with zero issues but the two with Xspeed motor have been doing this after a short period of installing the motor. So when you are running your car and getting 1200 laps. How do you do this? Run until the batteries die and replace and run again. Or do you run 5 min and then break then run 5 more minutes? I really loved the improved performance from the Xspeed motor and I would just run hard until the batteries sagged (40 mins) . Is that good or bad? Maybe the FETs is getting to hot. I haven't been told or heard of a max run time and break intervals. I am just trying to be ready to race you and EMU some day ;0)

      @@twistedbeardcreations2588 - I do 1200 laps in a day sometimes but that's from noon until 9pm. I can do 120 laps in 20 mins straight on my lipo car but I don't recommend doing this. I just didn't want to get off the stand when the other drivers showed up with the same motor I have so I just ran it until they stopped running theirs. Normally I do up to 70 laps for 1 pack and that's 10 mins of 3500 or 5500 motor.
      For AAA batteries with Box stock motor or PN70 motor, I can stay on the stand for 40 mins with a set of battery with no issues.
