So I wondered if this cheese was going to taste like coconut because of the coconut cream, lol. I just made it at 5:15 this morning because I couldn’t sleep and saw this video, so I started craving cheese, lol, especially one that looked so quick and easy to make. Of course I tweak every recipe I make, so I adjusted the seasonings to suit my taste. I increased the nooch to 4 tbsps for even more cheesy flavor, decreased the garlic powder to 2 tsps because it’s pretty strong, doubled the salt to 1 tsp, added 1 tsp of wood ear mushroom powder for more umami (but a ground up mushroom bouillon cube or 1 tsp of shiitake powder would work amazing too), added 1 tsp dried chives and finally 1/4 tsp of gochugaru (sweet Korean chili powder) for a very mild kick. I know that’s a lot of tweaking, but those are the flavors I personally love, and this is an excellent recipe to adjust the seasonings as it’s so incredibly versatile. I tasted as I went, so I can definitely tell you that this tastes only cheesy and delicious; you DO NOT taste the coconut flavor at all!! I also very lightly sprayed my round glass food container with a teensy bit of olive oil before scooping the cheese into it to help me un-mold the cheese later, even though it may not have really needed that, the cheese was so pliable, but I just wanted to make it as easy as possible later. It’s chilling right now in the very back, coldest part of my frig, and I simply can’t wait to enjoy it in a few hours! Thank you so much for sharing this great recipe, and for doing what you do!😁😁😁

Dear Kemion, I'm over the moon with this recipe and thank you from the bottom of my heart :) with a vegan diet, I miss cheese so much. I've tried a lot of recipes in the last few months, yours comes closest to real dairy cheese. I find the ones using agar agar too jelly like, the other ones so far also not fatty enough. So thank you again for sharing your passion with us, you've made someone across the globe really really happy :) whole lotta love from Croatia
Thanks for the recipe, I love how it has some holes in there too! 😍It would definitely benefit from addition of some apple cider vinegar in my opinion to get that tangy cheese flavour in combination with nutritional yeast. And a tip for making it easier to mix while it's heating in the pan - use a whisk, it makes it a breeze to combine and make it smooth!
Is it possible that you will share the measurements of how much of each thing? I am just guessing if it's a couple or a 1/2 cup or teaspoon? I'd love to make this but I would like measurements so that I could do it correctly. Thank you so much.

garlic over powers the flavours. Green olive brine is a better option. -2 teaspoons, you wont need nooch either... but that’s personal preference.

No. Just ensure it's pure turmeric and not a mix. You can use less turmeric if you wish.
Tumeric just gives the yellow color. If you don't use it you will just have a whiter cheese but the flavor and consistency will remain the same.
