With that said, I cook some vegetarian and vegan meals each week to... I guess to lessen my personal impact is the best way to describe it. I do love nutritional yeast on popcorn and added to soups. I can understand how people would get tired of it if it was a staple though. This recipe of yours looks great. I really look forward to replacing a good portion of my cheese consumption with it. Is there anyway to make the cheese harder and more dry and crumbly the way a cheddar often is? Thank you , you are wonderful

    I saved so many recipes from your kitchen, that you have your own folder!! Cassava flour? Is there a substitute? It’s expensive. You have one of the best UA-cam channels!

    Hi Jana, really interesting recipe. I have a couple of questions - i) can we avoid the coconut oil in this recipe? ii) why do you require corn starch in addition to the sour starch? iii) where can I get the sour starch you use? iv) Does this cheese melt nicely? Thanks!

    • @ChefJana
      @ChefJana  4 роки тому

      Yes, you can replace the coconut oil, but I don't think avoiding it would be a good idea, since it helps in the melting process, cornstarch makes the cheese firm once cold and the sour starch makes it stretchable and gives a tangy8u9taste to the cheese, you can get the sour starch online or at your local latino shop, sometimes asian shops carry it too.

    Hi 👋 i cooked my 🥕 and bought Lupini beans already skinless. I tasted my mixing spatula the taste is very very close to cheddar. It was a little grainy, even though it tasted creamy. Took an extra step, i put the beans in the carrot water to give it a cook from the bottle. I have a question I have dried Lupini beans how do you prepare them from scratch???? Also...if I don't have olive brine can I use lactic acid???
