I could be wrong, but I think the reason Lime3DS often has higher FPS is bc it's based off a mobile phone version of Citra which trades accuracy for speed so it's easier to run on phones. Pablo's version of Citra should be based on the last official one on PC before it got discontinued, so it's more accurate in comparison, taking a performance hit.

I've tested Rhythm Heaven Megamix in one of these Citra forks. I've only played the first two mini-games so far, but despite being labelled as untested, and the framerate being a bit inconsistent (which may just be the result of my emulator settings) it is actually playable from what I've tried so far. I kind of suck at Rhythm Heaven games, but managed to get a superb 3 star rating on my first try playing the first two stages, which is saying something. Though I usually suck less at the actual games than I normally do when practising them, because I find the addition of music really helps to keep to the rhythm better.
Thank you. Since the original version of Citra had been shut, I wanted to kno whether to use the fork or Lime3DS. After seeing the differences, Lime3DS is wor th extra RAM cost. (I use a Steam Deck.)
Hey Alex, can you make a graphic test between Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown in Ryujinx vs PC, that would be awesome to watch! We Really would like to see Ryujinx is able to keep up with PC in terms of graphics or not! Thank you for your amazing content!
It's obvious why Citra doesn't have many more updates, if it already worked well, besides I don't care about an emulator that focuses a lot on iOS when those are not useful for playing in the first place.
What about citra mmj? Lol it seems the smoothest for shaders like in pokemon sun the intro with the professor that usually has a slight lag doesnt happen on mmj.
@@doomslayer8985 horsepower isn't it cause ps2 and others like switch can run better than 3ds. 3ds even on pc can studder more than citra mmj on android and yes mmj does do hacks but it's still a smooth experience compared to the other forks or vanilla citra. Citra mmj with the latest android flagships runs better than citra on a steam deck so it's working for whatever hacks it has.

So would lime3ds now be considered better than the last version of citra on macOS ?
Or pc version?
You should also test StarFox 64 3D on both emulators as it is one of the most difficult games to run on the emulators and has the most issues as well.
Dam for all that just play the original n64 one lol

If possible id like to see some more of these tests on android with various chipsets, snapdragons, mali etc

Is it me or does Dolphin run worse now ? It stutters so bad for me on Windows I set up a linux build and that fixed it
Runs fine for me. Both old and newer versions

Cause MMJ enables a lot of hacks compared to vanilla Citra which imo is fine for android due to the lack of horsepower and native vulkan drivers
