This is a W comment. After a few exhaust’s installed under my belt, I figured I would be certified to do it properly. Unfortunately we all make mistakes. Thankfully I can share that with my audience to not make the same mistake.
I got the world's fastest SQ5 right now full stage 3. I got full inkernels pistons and connecting rods board and impolished heads and bored in polish supercharger. 1200 CC injectors and a fuel system. The potential is 1400 but we're gonna keep it around 1100.

Nope. It’s actually probably the best cheap mod you can do for more noise on the stock cat without drone. However if you’re willing to spend 300$+ I would recommend the entire IE exhaust instead as that’s going to definitely transform your B9 without having to cut the exhaust to put an x pipe in.
I got exhaust tips on mine. Curious to know where you got all the work done? Once mine is out of warranty I’ll consider. Not the exhaust though. Less noise the better for me
Because it’s a catless downpipe. A High flow cat would take care of all the resonance. However I want the turbo to be louder and the exhaust to rip, catless is the way to go for me.
I don't know if you saw but IE just released a similar exhaust for the B9 S4 and they also have the same dronetrap technology, how good has it been in your experience?
IE’s exhaust is arguably one of the highest quality and best sounding exhaust systems. For the money I was kind of blown away honestly. Obviously I haven’t installed or heard the B9 S4 specific exhaust yet but considering the fact that their exhaust had zero drone and even made the hybrid turbo sound more appealing with a better louder whistle.. is what made me keep it on the car. I do suggest going with their pro core high flow cat to pair up with their exhaust system.
How can it be a cold start if it was installed in the garage and now is sitting outside on the opposite side of the garage? Sounds good but already get complaints from my neighbors and I have the CTS catted dp (stage II).
When I installed the exhaust, I started it up, and I’m not sure if the engine was still fairly warm, but it went right into an idle vs an actual cold start. I decided it was better to let the car cool over night and then actually show a real cold start once the car was completely Cold. I had complaints as well, unfortunately.
looking at getting the IE mid pipes for my b9.5 S5 and potentially a DP down the line. Would you say the mid pipes and stock dp is noticeably louder/better sounding? would a DP change much with stock mufflers and mid section resonator?
Just doing the mid pipes with give your car more tone. However the downpipe is the biggest change you can do. I would say do only downpipe for now, and go from there if you want more noise. IE has an exhaust coming for the S5!
Bro, nice! I have an SQ2018 as well and when I start the engine after the night, I see a white smoke comming out. After 10 sec it's gonce completely. Then I can't reproduce it anyway (during high revs, warmed or cold). Do you have the same? Thanks
Did IE include a plug for the OE exhaust valve to protect it from the elements? As for Audi only having one valve on one side, it they had a valve on both sides the exhaust would be completely closed! :)
Well if Audi had a valve on both sides, you can open both in dynamic and let it rip, and close both in comfort to keep it mellow. This is actually how the one valve works. IE doesn’t include a plug. You can just zip tie the cable up and leave the old exhaust valve hidden out of sight.
@@Need4Built There is only 1 exhaust outlet per side. If there was a valve on both sides then the exhaust would be completely closed off in comfort mode. My wife's Golf R has a valve on each side, but that car also has 4 exhaust outlets.
Yes I did. Bought this car right before my little guy was born. It fit perfectly. Front passenger had more than enough leg room actually. At least for my wife. The front facing car seat however, is much better.
Rewatch it in 4k now that it’s available. Worth it, I promise. I think it must’ve been 20-30 minutes too early due to the HD/4K having needed extra time to upload.

Also using anti seize on downpipe bolts if you plan to take them off one day is also a good idea. 😂 we tried that before 2 of the bolts stripped. This was just crappy hardware supplied by CTS.

I wish I had the chance to dyno the car before and after the exhaust install, the butt dyno however is some what reliable and is telling me there’s a little more from the 810. That’s just me. Can’t prove it. Sounds insane however. I might play around with some idea’s I have.
I found a local quiet garage. There’s never any cars on the upper floors. So there’s usually a few car guys hanging out there doing launches inside or just reviving it up. Glad you enjoyed the content 💪🏼 Causing some mayhem

Stock exhaust is stock. Correct. My knowledge right now 📈📈📈 The B9 SQ5 just sounds so good. There’s something about the engine itself that has that exhaust noise edge over the B8.5. The hybrid turbo gives it a little bit of an advantage with those wooshy noises 🤓
Yup! CTS provided that hardware. Clearly is sucks. Now that I have it replaced however, should make my life a little easier if I ever have to change it again.
I wonder if it sounds nice also with REAL EXHAUST. Aren't you replacing those? I'm replacing mine, they don't look good for my taste. I'm putting the quad exhaust.

It cost me 35.000. The stage 3 + has the dual pulley extreme charger intake test pipes down pipes an catback no cats or restriction.3+ecu stage 2 tcu.
I love the SQ5 and S4 so much people get so salty when you gap there $200000 super car.😅

More weight + KW coil overs are supreme to anything out there. From a drag or track setup. Anything really. Bags are only for comfort.

No emissions in WA. This exhaust would pass emissions because it does not touch the cat that’s upstream connected to the turbo.

@@MrSlomaro IE gives you the options to retain the stock muffler if you want, so that would retain the stock valve as well. There’s your solution.
