When I was 18 or 19 years old I was working at a gravel pit. On my way to work I would pick up a coworker, he lived nearby and didn't have a car at the time. One morning on our way to work, I blew a tire. Luckily we were just about to pass a McDonald's. I pulled into the parking lot and my buddy asked if I had a spare. I said yes but I don't have a jack. I looked up at the entrance to the McDonald's and there was a payphone. I told him sit tight I'll see if I can get a quarter to make a call. I get to the payphone and notice a guy with long hair, scraggly beard, tattered clothes and a trench coat. I said hello to him explained the situation and asked if he could spare a quarter so I could call someone to help. He said I actually do and handed me the quarter. I thanked him. After making my call, I thanked him again. He asked if help was coming. I said yes sir and thanks again. He said a quarter is worth it every time. I went back to the car and told my buddy help is on the way. A couple minutes later there was a knock on my window. It was the guy that gave me a quarter. He had a coffee and an Apple Pie for my coworker and I. He stated that he just wanted to say thanks because most people wouldn't have given him the time of day let alone ask for a quarter. Nothing close to what Sheriff Lamb experienced, but it's the moment I knew there is a higher power and if you treat people with dignity and respect you may get to see proof.

That’s my sheriff, met him at a store in pineal county, I thanked him for his service, and then he proceeds to greet my wife and took off his cowboy hat, with huge amount of respect greets my wife with a “good morning ma’am “”. My wife says that’s a gentleman. I was jealous hahah. He is an amazing man. Much respect
That was my sherriff during COVID, I was in my early 20’s and I couldn’t have been more thankful. Life continued on for us as normal, no mask mandates or vaccine mandates, still went to restaurants and bars on the weekends to support local business in that time. And guess what? All of us are still alive. Funny how that works. So so so many families are so thankful for his guidance during that time, and so many businesses are still around today in Pinal County thanks to Sherriff Lamb. A true hero and inspiration, that served his constituency with honor and integrity. Can’t say enough good things about this man.

I love how he lets his guests speak, doesn’t talk over them, and lets them get out their story on their timeline. He has such a wonderful interview style!
It’s a unique style in today’s podcast climate, but it’s good and bad. The guests get to tell their life story and all their opinions which is great, but they don’t get challenged on anything they think. A lot of the interviewees have books and are just regurgitating what is in already stated in their book. I think it’s important to let people tell their side, but I also think it’s important to have your thoughts/opinions challenged and it can provoke new perspectives and help you form better opinions/thoughts.

Wow im blown away by what he just said. Its something ive said for awhile. Im an emt, firefighter, recipiwnt of the carnegie hero award, and ex felon. In medic class our teacher told us a story of 2 medics who responded to a mvc (crash) a young female victim was trapped and dead. Her extrication was going to be prolonged. She was 8.5 months pregnant. The child was still alive in her dead body. Med control coached the medics through an emergency c section. They saved the child. They were fired and i believe charged with a crime. What they did was out of their scope of practice and even though they did it under the direction of an er doctor on the radio and saved the child they were still punished. Our instructor asked rhetorically what we wpuld do in that situation. I have a problem keeping quiet and i spoke up. "Id roof houses with my head held high, id go home every night kiss my son and tell him you do the right thing regardless of the consequences." Their is a cowardice crisis in emergency services and really every area of our society. Ive made a lot of enemies professionally for having the courage to do the right thing. We need our heroes back.
@@jakek09 it's a crisis because the gate keepers in that community can yank licenses ect. People spend their time money and energy getting into medical or emergency field and if they do the right thing just like we seen with C19 , their livelyhoods are yanked from under them. Hell they told me when I went through CPR and AED class @18 years old I could be responsible for certain situations and I did the class just for the know how and help people if needed, not to get paid or a career.
Many professionals get reprimanded for doing the right thing.. all for the sake of those establishments not receiving any problems, liabilities & risks

Especially how we should look at life and ourselves & stand in front of that mirror and blame the person staring at you for everything that is going on in our lives. Be your own judge and don't be biased about who's the reason things are how they are now. I constantly review my life's path to see why this or that happened, how it happened, what I should have done instead, only to be understand how I've arrived at this very spot. What's the difference between a constitutional republic vs a democratic republic. I ask because for the last 6 or so years, I've starting to see more conservatives use this term instead of democracy.

It's pretty close and a little confusing and I think the more conservative people have tried to correct it. We are a republic and have never been a democracy. I don't know why some think that. We have always been a republic, we are to be ran by officials that work for the people under a standard set of rules (the constitution). A democracy is slightly different in that you can be a democracy but majority rules, so for instance whoever is the majority in policy, in thought, in laws they rule. You could have a communist ruler with communist thoughts and be a democracy if you are the "majority". In a republic you are ran by a set of rules set for by the people, the constitution. That's what makes American so great and so different from other countries. We have a constitution that we follow and are not ruled by majority.

BY FAR, One of your best interviews. My hats off to Sheriff Lamb, with a conviction we should all emulate.
That was my sherriff during COVID, I was in my early 20’s and I couldn’t have been more thankful. Life continued on for us as normal, no mask mandates or vaccine mandates, still went to restaurants and bars on the weekends to support local business in that time. And guess what? All of us are still alive. Funny how that works. So so so many families are so thankful for his guidance during that time, and so many businesses are still around today in Pinal County thanks to Sherriff Lamb. A true hero and inspiration, that served his constituency with honor and integrity. Can’t say enough good things about this man.

It’s a unique style in today’s podcast climate, but it’s good and bad. The guests get to tell their life story and all their opinions which is great, but they don’t get challenged on anything they think. A lot of the interviewees have books and are just regurgitating what is in already stated in their book. I think it’s important to let people tell their side, but I also think it’s important to have your thoughts/opinions challenged and it can provoke new perspectives and help you form better opinions/thoughts.

Im an emt, firefighter, recipiwnt of the carnegie hero award, and ex felon. In medic class our teacher told us a story of 2 medics who responded to a mvc (crash) a young female victim was trapped and dead. Her extrication was going to be prolonged. She was 8.5 months pregnant. The child was still alive in her dead body. Med control coached the medics through an emergency c section. They saved the child. They were fired and i believe charged with a crime. What they did was out of their scope of practice and even though they did it under the direction of an er doctor on the radio and saved the child they were still punished.
Our instructor asked rhetorically what we wpuld do in that situation. I have a problem keeping quiet and i spoke up. "Id roof houses with my head held high, id go home every night kiss my son and tell him you do the right thing regardless of the consequences."
Their is a cowardice crisis in emergency services and really every area of our society. Ive made a lot of enemies professionally for having the courage to do the right thing. We need our heroes back.

Hell they told me when I went through CPR and AED class @18 years old I could be responsible for certain situations and I did the class just for the know how and help people if needed, not to get paid or a career.
Many professionals get reprimanded for doing the right thing.. all for the sake of those establishments not receiving any problems, liabilities & risks

Be your own judge and don't be biased about who's the reason things are how they are now. I constantly review my life's path to see why this or that happened, how it happened, what I should have done instead, only to be understand how I've arrived at this very spot. I'm exactly where I am supposed to be and I know it for fact. Whether or not I like it I wouldn't change anything that has brought me to this very moment in my life because it's exactly the place that my Lord wants me for a reason things I'll soon be aware of if I just keep breathing and not giving up until that last breath escapes me & I'm free of my flesh and bone and blood cage. What's the difference between a constitutional republic vs a democratic republic. I ask because for the last 6 or so years, I've starting to see more conservatives use this term instead of democracy.

It's pretty close and a little confusing and I think the more conservative people have tried to correct it. We are a republic and have never been a democracy. I don't know why some think that. We have always been a republic, we are to be ran by officials that work for the people under a standard set of rules (the constitution). A democracy is slightly different in that you can be a democracy but majority rules, so for instance whoever is the majority in policy, in thought, in laws they rule. You could have a communist ruler with communist thoughts and be a democracy if you are the "majority". In a republic you are ran by a set of rules set for by the people, the constitution. That's what makes American so great and so different from other countries. We have a constitution that we follow and are not ruled by majority.

As a missionary kid that grew up in Central America and now lives in the US, Mark's story is fascinating. The third culture aspect of his upbringing is a huge factor in him being able to cut through the cultural confusion we're facing.

I have to agree with you! Same here. We have had to have the sheriffs over a few times and every single time I have been amazed at how professional, polite, and competent they all were. Bless this man for what he is doing!

Every police department needs a sherif like Mark Lamb and if needs to be full of police officers like Frank Sloup.
