It's sad and partially infuriating that even after seeing a young driver be the first death in F1 since 94 by not having anything to help him from sliding under *Greens* into a truck and because it's a F1 car give that trucks bumper a 120kph headbutt and then end because the helicopter couldn't rescue as well because of weather that the Halo was seen as an overreaction
But I'm glad that today few are arguing against it, even cosmetically since they're more integrated now
Imagine it's 2023. Ferrari are fighting for titles against Max & RB with a team of Bianchi & Leclerc. Perhaps even winning a couple.
The FIA also learned they probably shouldn't race in the middle of a category 4 major typhoon - this is why the helicopter couldn't fly. They even already had a rule stating even practice sessions cannot occur if the helicopter can't fly. It apparantly could at the start of the race, but couldn't later as conditions worsened. Race director gambled and let the race continue when it should have been redflagged before even Sutil crashed, and it cost a life.
