II have had GREAT SUCCESS with Arowana, Oscars, Gar and Silver Dollars and have a few tips! #1 👀(Most Important!!!!) Nothing smaller than a 200 gallon tank, if you can’t have a big tank a Arowana is not for you!! 200 gallon or larger, in simple terms you don’t have a foot long hot dog in a 6 inch bun , Right……? Proper filtration to keep your PH around 6.5 and H2O TEMP at 78-81. People will argue this with me but observe them in their Natural Environment and you will agree that Arowana enjoy a flow in the water and a bubbler, nothing to intense and they should have enough space to have still h2O, light flow and bubbles. Mix up their diet and be creative. I feed frozen mice, blood worms, shrimp, feed live mice, frogs, crickets, roaches, hornworms, farm raised worms, cray,fish, and random neighborhood pets LOL JUST KIDDING and then feed a good pellet so they get all needed nutrients NO Goldfish, that’s like feeding your child MacDonalds every meal, NOT GOOD! Folks another tip DO NOT have that super bright LED white light on your fish for hours daily! What body of water is brute like that? Exactly so are you going to do what’s best for these amazing fish or is it your plan to setup a torture chamber! Fish are the MOST abused in all of the animal/pet trade! Don’t be that person, it’s a lot of work and money to take Great care of these fish!,,,!, They get big fast and quality food is not cheap and your electric bill only goes up so keep that in mind as well!! I have fish 20 + years old so remember this if your child gets into this hobby and please PLEASE PLZzzzzzzz never release fish into the wild, Godbless you all and this is a great way to teach your children responsibility and valuable quality time with your kids that doesn’t involve video games or tv!
When I was young my dad and me had a silver arrow one night during a lightning storm he jumped out.. it was so loud I thought lightning stuck threw my house and shattered my fish tank.. all I heard was (lightning) then bang flop flop (my arrowwana flopping under my stand) then just water dripping.. I found my arrow under my fish tank stand I needed to use a hockey stick to fish him out. He seemed to not care one bit after the whole ordeal. I just ordered a chili red arrow for my dad's birthday 😊 he's gunna flip

haha he said a 4 ft arowana if a arowana grow 4 ft it so old and that size is in wild or very big pond !! ,,
