@KGTropicals please help me! I bought a goldfish the the bubbly eyes and he has been a happy swimming fish! Its been a month now, and his eyes are covered in clouded white? He also looks like he has a 3rd eye coming in?? WHAT DO I DO???
Anyone else here who's a total beginner but loves watching the advanced tips/type videos for something to strive to? And also cause John and Lisa are great :)
I love how John and Lisa banter back-and-forth it adds comedy to the content. also I’m super happy to have stumbled upon peacock bass… I like them and I think I’ll have to get some.
John, I was taking a drink of coffee when you said if you don’t like Oscars you can go F. Lmao 😂. Now I have to change my shirt and dry off the dog. 😂🤣 btw I do like Oscars.
So funny you mention Creatures ‘n Critters. It’s that exact store that got me into the hobby 30+ years ago. We used to ride our bikes there after school and one day they were giving gold fish away. Of course we took some, went home and had no where to keep them. So back to the store we went with our mom to get fish bowls! And the rest as they say is history!
Arowana are awesome fish! My father used to own a Silver Arowana when he was younger. At least in his 20's. He never had any tankmates though. But he was always trying to jump out of the tank.
I adore my blood parrots! I'll fight ya if you degrade them lmao. They are such a joy with my oscars and severums. Oh and have silver dollars with them too.
I’ve got my Arowana paired with my Red Tail, may seem odd but the pair actually work, the catfish cleans the bottom of the tank and starts to roam at night while the Arowana stays on the top of the water and rests at night.
Are used to have a 400 gallon outside pond with heaters infiltration systems and I had silver arowana,, angelfish, lungfish and Gourami; And had no issues.
I have silver arowana with pbass and bichirs, it's a good combination, you can feed arowana first with cricket because i also have gecko that eat cricket, then feed pbass with little fish, the last give the bichirs sinking pelet they love it
I have a now 15” a silver Arowana sharing a tank with my Brichardis. Yes, they’re doing good together. The Arowana was a juvie when I got him, about 6-7”. I dropped them in the rank at the same time.
Thanks for the video John. I knew very little about these huge fish. I am more knowledgeable about them. Great video. By the way, I was not able to get onto tank talk live this pass Thursday. Was there tank talk or is it my I-pad?
I see an edit in your future, John. Not only did you saddle Lisa with the controversial fish so you can come out looking like the good guy, you misnamed it as a jaguar - lol And the bottom line is this; if you don't like your whoops-a-daisies pointed out, you can go f... 🤣🤣🤣
I just want to add to the common pleco, there are lots of other plcos that are bigger that would do super well too. Like the red fin and leopard cactus pleco
I love your content bro your on it with all the fish massive knowledge 😂 I think I love this channel because you love oscars man my first aggressive fish they got me into the hoddy I currently have 4 and in my experience with chiclids and aggressive fish it’s hit or miss and you have to have love for these animals to take a risk I have like 6 tanks usually just house them together and if they are overly aggressive just switch them my patriot is the most aggressive had to move him he tore up my jacks my pleco moved him with my oscars he picked on the one that was smaller than him so I moved her over and the patriot just got in line
what about creating problems for erawanas with tankmates swimming below-- I have learned that this makes the erawanas nervous and they are constantly trying to look below, and that constant looking can cause the notorious dropeye problem for the erawanas.
Do you think that, stingrays contribute to the forming of "drop eye" more than any other mates? (they're underneath constantly moving, digging, hiding, eating ect...)
my experience with aros and stringrays i feel like my aros IF there was sand that made them blend in the aro didnt even notice em so yes theres a chance but not gonna be as common.

It was intended for anyone lol. I thought he liked Oscars anyway.
He did a video not too long ago about reasons why not to buy an oscar.
I’m planning on getting a 75 to 80 gallon Oscar tank. I feel ya
Vic Philip wouldn’t let me get an oscar so i just got my dad to take me to get the tank and when we got home my mum just stormed off

“If you don’t like Oscars you can f..” 😂😂
Severums are my favorite, they have resembelence of two of my most favorites (Oscar and Discus fish).
As long as people don’t feed oscars “ feeder fish “ i am cool with them. So called feeder fish are one of the most abused fish in the hobby.
Thanks for the video John. I knew very little about these huge fish. I am more knowledgeable about them. Great video. By the way, I was not able to get onto tank talk live this pass Thursday. Was there tank talk or is it my I-pad?
Thanks Lisa also.
Unfortunately we were unable to stream on Thursday, you didn't miss anything.
Lol !!! “If you don’t like Oscar’s you can…..”
Man, that was hilarious. Need some more of that. Watched this video twice
Great video and informative
Do you recommend to have them with my discus?
Your severums are beautiful. I have the same type, but they are juvenille... only about 3 inches long.
this is very helpful

Can you make a video describing how to care for stingrays? And about more tank mates for stingrays?
Please
Oscars rock
I absolutely love your channel. You two are so cute together! May just have to buy a betta from you
Best tankmate would be the Flagtail. Best cleaner of all time.
I've had African arowana and ghost knife fish with my Silver Arowana.

I see an edit in your future, John. Not only did you saddle Lisa with the controversial fish so you can come out looking like the good guy, you misnamed it as a jaguar - lol

You can’t give me an Oscar. Pest fish like a pacu.

Even freshwater ANGLEFISH go well with AROWANAS
Tin Foil Barbs will work as long as they are big enough. They are fast and grow fast.
i found that rope fish are great tank mates
Lower jaw bichirs stay around the 1ft zone lower jaws Around 2-3 mostly
I've always liked having a redtail catfish with my arowana. They'll eat all the scraps or food that falls to the bottom that the arowana doesn't eat.
