    Video Summary:
    Truly telling good fortune from bad has nothing to do with how it makes us feel in the immediate moment. Some things that seem bad turn out to be the challenge that pushes us to our greatest success or strength. Using this long-range view of events in our life can markedly change our perception and thinking processes.
    To accept that every challenge carries the potential for a positive outcome is the cornerstone of positive thinking. This is a much more permanent approach than tricking your mind into positive thinking for the moment.
    Our negative assessments of what happens to us are the source of much unnecessary discomfort. Imagine if your life could be happier simply by changing your thinking about its day-to-day events! Use a review of the most challenging events in your history to prove to yourself that "every challenge is an opportunity." Learn to "aikido" your challenges, by using their momentum to catapult you to a new position in your life.
    Then try the Seven Day Positivity challenge, to learn how to interrupt negative thoughts and replace them with positive thinking.

    Life is hard at the moment. And I realized I've been negative for the majority of my life. Negativity has become a subconscious habit. I know positive thinking is not about ignoring problems or not feeling hurt and sad - it's trying to look for solutions and ways to make things better... to make the best of things. I'll do my best to stick to it and I wish everyone else good luck.

I have told myself during my drinking days i am going to quit drinking for yrs, finally without thinking, i stopped, not totally but now i don't think of drinking. my mind tells me its not going to work for me even if i have one, i don't miss it. it took me more than 7 days, but it does work.

    I've been negative for a long time and I've just tried this with my current situation - So, my biggest negative at the minute is my job. It's what I think about 85% of the time. I want out. But what are the positives? - it's growing my discipline, my patience, it's teaching me to stick at something when it isn't going how I want it to go, it's making me stronger than I was before, my social interactions in this area have improved, although I'm negative I am stronger because of this job, I'm gaining knowledge and experience, I can pay my bills with the job, I get to see all of the area I live in and loads of beautiful homes, talk to lots of different people, the jobs I do are something to be proud of. You see, that's positivity from a negative. This job is increasing my chances of getting an even better job in the future, even if it's not happening right this minute. There are so many positives out of this negative. I'm even growing my discipline to do weight training along side this job, that means I've out grown my previous capacity. I need to recognise these things. These are things to be proud of that I've overlooked.

    thank you. thank you. thank you. I cannot thank you enough for this. I needed this at just the right time. I had to make a hard choice to let go of someone I loved, started working out five times a week but those poisonous, toxic thoughts remained. I saw my letting go of who would have been my wife as a loss, a destructive loss and immediately saw my choice as a negative. The truth is I was in an abusive relationship, I felt weak and inferior, and submitted just to hold onto what could be because I was convinced I could not do better, that I wasn't worth it. it took a lot of strength and will and hope for a better future to leave that behind me. Now, having watched this I feel, I know, my greatest obstacle has been my thinking. keeping myself in bad situations instead of seeing the potential for a better future. thank you very much for sharing even this much with the world.

    I really like your videos. You actually answered my question about the source of positive thinking for a negative person (like me). What you are saying here is so down to earth - indeed, everything in life can be seen as opportunity, and this is in itself a reason for positive approach. And your statement that we do not really know what is 'lucky' (or not) until the last card is played out is, honestly, genius.

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 років тому +4

      Good. Keep studying this stuff. And start practicing it. You won't cure your negative thinking overnight, but the tide will slowly turn as you live more and more conscious. Start practicing meditation if you want to see big results in this area. Here's how to meditate:

    Sometimes we are own worst enemy and created our own bad luck. I have done this with the power of my thoughts. I reacted badly, went absolutely crazy as I could of resolved things in a proper fashion. In the past now but it affected the present moment. Didn't view the problem as an opportunity, which is how is should be viewed - positive thinking if I looked at it positively. Need to change my thinking. Reactions have made me doubt myself and my ability to do my job the way it should be done. Really wish I viewed things in a different light. Response - didn't behave consciously. Great advice!

    It's incredibly difficult to think positively when you're experiencing failure or disappointment or loss of some sort.However,I have experienced that whenever I forced myself to go against my every day nature and think and cultivate positivity in that particular moment,I surpassed the obstacle somehow.In the hardest moments you have to be positive bc that is actually the only possibility you have if you want to win/ persevere/ endure what you're going through at the moment. Of course,there's still room for improvement,but essentially I managed to convince myself that positive attitude is the only acceptable option.

    Seriously your videos are amazing. I have to come back to this one because I feel myself being very negative at work sometimes. I am a little bit of a negative person, and I do not want to bring other people down because I have that "one problem". Thank you for your video.

    Thank u so much for making this Channel Leo :) this one and the one on Loving yourself Really hit home for me. I cried while I was doing the mirror exercise telling myself the I accept "Me" for who I am right now. Anyways just wanted to share that and to say thanks.

    How right you are! I never realised or was aware how many negative thoughts I have in a day. More shockingly how they drive tumultuous emotions. I am working hard at living with much much much more positivity and happiness in my life. I deserve it.

    Welcome to my soul, Leo. This is the first of your videos that I've seen, and am sure I will be watching many more as I find the time. I have always considered myself a positive thinker in general but can feel those skills being more finely tuned as you pull me towards a more intrinsic, full-proof system of staying positive. For the first of what I'm sure will be many times, Thank You.

    I'm really working on my "Ball Of Yarn" Today in your video I learned that the ugly is still there if I don't work on the sub-conscience! I also took a deep deep deep look at how I feel About myself and realized I have been trying to please everyone for acceptance even now at the age of 50! I feel Powerful and energized! Go Leo Muchas Gracias!~ ........Jody

    Thank you for taking the time to implant the idea of positivity within us. This was very helpful. I already have created this positive mind set thanks to a friend who brought my negativity to attention, since then I decided to change and reprogram my brain to think only positive thoughts, and I've seen nothing but great results.

    I really enjoyed your video. I am actually going to use it as a way to introduce some friends and family to this new way of life. I have been consciously working to improve my additude towards life for a little over a year now. The changes I have made in my life are incredible. Stinking thinking is such a common additude towards life and it's hard to even be around some people because of their gloomy outlook on EVERYTHING!! So, thanks! This will be a good video to introduce the idea rather than blatantly point out that someone you care for is a miserable "naysayer". This is the first of your videos I have ever seen and you sir have a gift! Rock on!

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 років тому

      Thanks for sharing Jason! Yeah, it can be hard to convince friends and family to follow these ideas. They have to be ready to listen. Like the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
      If you really want to convince someone to follow these ideas, you have to hit them with the grand vision, with emotion. Not logic or simple technique. You have to show them that this can revolutionize their whole life in ways they cannot even foresee right now.
      Here are some good videos that I made specifically for that purpose:
      Dream Life - What It Takes To Create An Extraordinary Life
      True Vision - I Reveal My Life Purpose Until You Can Feel It
      Cause & Purpose - What Are You Willing To Bleed For?
      Redefining Philosophy - How To Actually Become A Real Jedi Master

    You can gain things from feeling angry sad and anxious. That can be the signal for you to start looking for positive aspects of the problem. They can force awareness. I don't think you should deny these emotions but find positive emotions that override these.

    Thank you so much for your video. This has been really helpful to the extent that nothing else has for me. The way you deliver your ideas is so clear, easy to understand and enduring that I could not stop listening. Your ideas are realistic and practical and I realized that I use them a little already. Now I intend to use them far more and be more effective in both my understanding and practice. At last I will see improvement! Many thanks again, God bless you and what you do.
