Supposedly this isn't canon, but MOTHY said the same thing about Rebirthday. So I think he might be messing with us and thus is about Levia or one of the other EC Gods.
Autumn White We pretty much now know from the MoN booklet that this song takes place during the First Period of Evillious, so technically, Mothy isn't messing with us since it probably has no impact whatsoever on the Third Period. Also, people need to stop with the whole "Mothy lied about Rebirthday !", he simply said that it wasn't part of the Story of Evil arc, and he was correct on that point. :P
Poor Len! He's sick and can't get treatment! Poor Rin! She has to work herself ragged to help him! Poor Luka! All she can do is watch helplessly as these two poor children suffer and ask her for the help she can't give them! OH GOD HUGS ALL AROUND FOR MY POOR VOCALOID BABIES!!!!! D':
Oh god... my heart... Why Mothy? Why?! The boy fell ill because factory smoke, his sister now has to work herself to death to earn money for him, and the Star is unable to do anything but watch helplessly because she can't give them a miracle. My heart is breaking, dammit TT^TT I can sense the pain and the desperation and the helplessness and I can't take it... So why the hell do I have this song on repeat?! Am I a masochist now? It's so damn beautiful and melodic but heartwrenching and true to life... Mothy you sadistic genius.
This song is realistic, tragic and dreamy at the same time. I love it the most, even though Luka's not my most favourite Vocaloid. I'm also working on a fanart of this song. And I even have my own translation too. It will go with my upcoming fanfic. Anyway is there an off-vocal for this song?
is that part where it says "people wish upon us, we are failures for not responding" implying that rin wished to the stars to make len get better, but the stars didn't grant her wish and len died?
For everyone wanting to hear more about Rin's situation, here's how I always interpreted it: the lyrics say the *factory* turned to something, so the reason the stars couldn't watch isn't because it was day time or because there was too much smoke. The factory is what changed, and I believe it changed from producing textiles to instead offering the women who worked there as prostitutes. The prevalence of the smoke in relation to the factories indicates that this was a time where there wasn't much regulation when it came to labor rights, and it's entirely plausible that the people in charge took advantage of the women working at the textile factory because they knew no one would stop them, and anyone who was already working there obviously desperately needed the money and therefore couldn't quit, meaning they'd have to endure whatever their bosses put them through. In short, the factory became a brothel and Rin was forced to work as a prostitute because otherwise she'd lose the job that would save her brother, and the stars couldn't bear to watch her suffering. But that's just how I see it.
You know, of all Mothy's songs, this one is the... melody like. Ignoring the lyrics, this would be my favorite for sweet-sounding songs he's done. Maybe its because their not sin songs, but some of his extra one just sound pretty, for pretty's sake.
He's said stuff like that a lot, though. Re_Birthday was said not to have any connections, same with Kept Waiting for a Response. And we can literally cement their places in the story. But pretty much any song with -FIN-(the chinese this was translated from had it-Hi, encoder Lynn here) or -END- is basically from the Fables and will pop up randomly as being written by Yukina. There are even some Lyric files with -END- appearing at 3:45.
holy crap, I don't even remember watching or seeing this video and somewhat about a year ago I commented here, wow... Sweet. I also see you make that edit in the romanji I mentioned. Thanks
lol i like how the boy got sick because of the factory smoke, and then his sister went to work at a factory to help him recover, while producing more smoke
So if it will be confirmed this would be the oldest song in Evillious? Also little theory what if the Luka is god ,but not creator god, more like Sickle or Held and she's leaving the first period while remebering the Rin and Len also a little connection with Eve Zvezda both of them are called star and both of them are false hopes.
+Ovinaufal F. No, Sickle or Held (if they were born in first period, which i doubt), would have to escape with luka,if my theory is correct and Luka is escaping.
He said it'll be sometime this year, probably towards the end. Surely after the next Original Sin Tale album comes out, and information(or a song) on Marigold Plateau comes out! But it'll be before the Gluttony novel.
I see (I know that xD) It's sad. But still beautiful ^^ I can't hate that not only beacause it's a Vocaloid's song, but also because this song is on a star point of view who see people lives.
I don't this this is part of EC. Not every mothy song is part of EC - look at Yellow Flames of Phosphorus - and we shouldn't try to link it in case we get mixed up. Wait for any clues or hints that it is instead of guessing. But all the same, this is a wonderful, sad song.
yes thank but dear god i am never messing with lrc files again in my life ugh-- honestly i found the lyrics by accident but when i did it was literally flailing and telling everyone and poof Kai translated and all this happened
i think it may be related to blood stained switch.in blood stained switch a girl is at work with her father and he tells her not to pull the red switch.well...she does(i think she may have multple personality disorder though)supposedly she causes the factory to burn down or something like that. And in this song you have the factory and possibly the fire"the factory the girl worked at turned to something we couldn't watch at"maybe they are connected.bloodstained switch is sung by mayu btw

Second time saying this, but Mothy said on Twitter that this song isn't related to the EC. I suppose he could be tricking us, but I'm still going to trust that until demonstrated otherwise...
4213 before 1000EC if we assume the first period ends in the 21st century of it's timeline /first period is earth\ that would make the secondnperiod had lasted 3000 years. And would place the song in 1800s to early 1900s the height of the industrial revolution
Reincarnations of the Lucifan-Avadonia siblings or maybe Hansel and Gretel related? I think it was Luka (girl with the light tint of pink at the beginning) that they were implying was a star (or maybe she's still the sorceress of time?).
Sweet song Mothy... well, for you (this is based on a fairy tale apparently, one I've never heard of.) Interesting... neither Rin nor Len die this time, and Rin is the one sacrificing for Len. Wish it was in the EC if only for proof not every Rin is evil at some point in time...
...yeah, I know that. ^^' My question was if that didn't mean that, despite the lack of sense that this would do today, this song does have a relation with the Evillious Chronicles, which have themselves a clear "relation" with The Heavenly Yard (since Len, aka Irregular, is meant to be the Master of the Heavenly Yard).
Thanks for the upload and the subs ! =D I was looking for it since the release of the Vocantabile album. You wrote in the description that this song wasn't related to the Evillious Chronicles. I must agree that, apart from the obvious fact that the brother and his sister might be an other reincarnation of Hansel and Gretel if it was, I cannot find any connection now. There's just the ""THY" logo at the begining of the vid that is bothering me. Does it have a meaning ?
This song I think is said to be non-canon, which means it couldn't relate. Also: Girl in BSS has hereditary evil-raiser syndrome (which means an evil, second personality)- the girl is Irian/Elluke before they split. Factories are common, it is doubtful they are the same. Lastly... just think about a 'job' a girl can do that is vulgar. And no, it isn't murder.
I believe this happens during the Great Depression. Why would they have cars in EC? It would be too early for cars to be invented. And plus, there were factories!
Is this connected to Desert Bluebird in EC? I mean, the boy and girl probably died or something like that, but there's a factory and cars. Something Desert Bluebird also had.
I hope it won't be released near the end of the year, because my friend and I really want to see what happens X3 When will the next album come out? Sorry, I like Mothy's songs :3
I think that Rin and Len are siblings in this song. I mean I know they were referred to as boy and girl but think about it. The boy was at the height of poverty therefore he couldn't go to the hospital and the girl's brother was sick so she had to work for medical treatment. I think that Rin is working for Len, her sick brother, because they were too poor to afford to go to the hospital and thought the money would save him.....Too bad he died in the end :,(
Halida Aisha this is *on the timeline* as some 3000 or so years ago so this took place in the first Period or the first world the gods created, but any other connection ot the Evillious chronicles would be unknown perhaps the twins are previous incarnation of the daughter and servant of evil. So did Michaela and Gumillia. Also Gumillia is probably the new Master of the Hellish Yard! Lol you thought that was Nemesis? NAAAAAH THERE'S TWO." Yeah it can be kind of overwhelming at times.
Why does Mothy have to torture Rin so much? He's always making her wait or watch or something helplessly while Len just like... dies. T_T Poor Rin-chan, always having to put up with it.
That kinda thing always confuses me! Like Another Clockwork is supposedly non cannon! Actually, where did he say that? I haven't seen it on his blog! :3
mothy just wanted it there. For instance, the songs "Wendy" and "Desert Bluebird" are in the Judgment of Corruption ~A Court of Greed~ album, but they are not part of the series so far.

WAIT.
this song, though not canon, is implying the stars ARE alive, whether Gods or not. does this mean the moon goddess literally IS the moon?
It was stated in the song that she was in fact his sister.
Mothy works endlessly. These animations, artwork, books (?), lyrics, music and intricate plot - fantastic! Thank you for collaborating and posting!
For everyone wanting to hear more about Rin's situation, here's how I always interpreted it:

I like to think this song isn't related to the Evillious Chronicles at all. It works better set in the real world IMO.
Well I at least have failed to find any links connecting this song with the Evillious Chronicles, so I don't think it's a part of the series
Yeah mothy's Tvtropes page lists it as independent.
Oh, OK. Well, that's cool.
