2023 Ford Focus review - The Last Focus

- Having owned a mid-2000s Ford myself, I've grown to appreciate the Blue Oval's approach to making cars. What I liked most was that it imbued its vehicles with fun handling and generally sporty characteristics which only became obvious when you took one of its cars on a twisty road for a spirited drive. However, Ford is going away from that image and moving towards electric crossovers and SUVs. The Focus is one of the last models built with that older philosophy in mind and it's going to go out of production in 2025. Here's why you should consider a Focus and buy one while you still can.

One of the few good-looking affordable cars these days. Such a crying shame that cars like the Focus and Mondeo are being replaced by SUVs, CUVs or whatever they call them these days. Thanks for the review, Andrei!

@@jackt7331Hard to say which is more reliable. But the 1-liter EcoBoost is good. It's been incrementally improved over the years.

I own a 2007 Ford Focus SES 5 door hatchback and I love mine
I've never owned a Focus, but I have driven all generations and they were all great!
Thank you so much for doing this video. I waited such a long time for this kind of configuration. I have already ordered my Focus back in December, which will replace my 2015 Fiesta, and it will be quite similar to this one, except of the automatic gearbox. I am now even more looking forward to the car.
On the other hand I totally agree with your disappointment of ford's future strategy and right know I don't expect my next car to be a Ford again. But lets see...

I think you're better off with the manual gearbox, given that the automatic isn't available with paddle shifters (or any means to manually change gears).

Lovely car. I've been looking at the Estate. We've had SUVs for the last 10 years for towing our caravan but now have a static home so need the boot space now. It's a shame that the UK doesn't get the Sync 4 until the 2023 models
Yeah, Sync 4 is a big improvement over what came before and, dare I say it, the only version of Sync that I could live with without it driving me crazy :)
My mom has a Ford focus and she’s probably gonna be really sad because it’s probably gonna get discontinued am I going to be sad too😢😢😢
She can buy a similar hatchback from another brand. Not sure which one delivers the most similar experience, but I’d go for something Japanese or Korean.

Ecoboost = FAIL. Get the TDCi with a Manual Transmission.
I'd also advocate for the diesel, although the Ecoboost makes the Focus more fun to drive.
