Unquestionably one of my favorite bands of all time! These guys are incredibly unique. Kirk had a vision all of those years ago, at a time when everyone was just playing as fast as they could, to tune low and play slow. Fuck yea!!! CROWBAR, a band's image and sound that fits their name. A band that has stayed true to their roots. Those New Orleans boys don't fuck around. Down, Soilent Green, EYEHATEGOD etc. I'm from the south so I'm biased to as who started "sludge metal". Some say it goes all the way back to Sabbath. I would like to think it started in NOLA, but I'm a HUGE Melvins fan and they have been around for almost 35 years. I say it's Melvins. To me, and I love Sabbath, they are the godfathers of metal. Sludge is just a branch of metal. If that makes sense...I'm stoned by the way. Sue me. I had a rough week at work. Thanks for posting this video.
