This is such a great and informative video. To the point, but clear and with good visibility/imagery on everything. I appreciate you sharing all of the diagrams on the software, too. Thank you so much for posting this!

normally only the transmission does this but check for codes for transmission, may be one solenoid is failing. other wise the tranny should have internal failure.

I have a question about the first solenoid that you tested it looks like #3(SL) that is the same one I am trying to figure out if is bad or not. I have a code p0741.
When I test it with the multimeter it is good at 13.4 When I test it with the battery I only get the one click the same as you did. That means it is supposed to be good right? Im just confused because the other solenoids you tested it makes the click sound every time you touched it.
I noticed on the diagram it looks like you labeled solenoid 1&3 backwards (9:43 in the video) #3(SL) is the yellow and #1 (S1) is the white.

hi, thanks for watching, I might have pronounced the wrong solenoid number I would have to watch the video to see that but if you have p0741 and 05 corolla: that is solenoid S1 the one in the corner with the yellow wire (pale yellow). also the diagram is there, if you have it out of the valve body it n you apply 12v it will operate or click only once, if you want the solenoid to click again then you have to disconnect it from the 12v source n wait aleast 30 seconds or one minute so you can apply 12v again and it will click again, if it is in the valve body it will click every time you apply 12v if it is good. if you have any question dont hesitate to ask me. thanks again for your time on the channel.

@@JM-AUTO I just put everything back together because I was getting the single click when it was off. I was getting the same result when it was hooked to the valve body just one click. I hope I didn't put a bad solenoid back in there.
I saw on one of your videos that if I have other codes I should diagnose that first. I have a p0171 system too lean so I'm going to work on that one. After I fix that, hopefully all is well.
The only symptom my car has is a slight tremble feeling every once in a while. I'm not sure if that's being caused by the p0171 or p0741. I'll let you know whatever I find out. Thanks for the reply

I think you are confusing S1 with SL. SL is the one in the corner with the pale yellow wire. S1 has the white wire. Look at 7:11 in your video the diagram shows S1 is white.
Or maybe I'm confused. Let me know😂

@@neil121886 great point, my friend, code p0741 is for SL, I 'll take a look at this later on, thanks.
