Awesome video. Thanks for making it so detailed. I’ve looked around UA-cam and I really couldn’t find anything specific about this issue. Thanks
Glad you liked it! also thank you for taking the time to watch this video I very much appreciate it.
good, very good video.
very informed.
and the blue print schematic , that is the cherry on top.
very strong information.
looks to me that every manufacturer has used that same part ( some a lil different, but same material ) . and has gone bad.
thank you , and bless you.
Do you recommend getting parts in junkyard? The original and brand new solenoid is almost $300+.
I know they are very expensive, you can try on a junkyard and test it before installing it. so you know it works.
Good stuff just bought a matrix with code triggered will do this repair. Do you recommend changing Transmission filter since we are there already?
Is this shift silnoid e?
Sir what part code. Of this solenoid valve, thank you
it does not go by codes, the dealer says to take it out to compare them so they can sell you the right one, thanks for sharing.
Hello, great video! Is the procedure the same for a 2009 MY Pontiac Vibe (P0741)? Thanks!
Great video, I got same problem with my 2016 Corolla, do you where is it located in 2016 corolla, Please
do you know which one you have the 4speed A/T transmission or the continuous variable transmission (CVT)?.
Thanks for your work! I bought a 2005 Corolla for my grand nieces, with 130K. Clean car; it runs perfect. It threw a P0741 trouble code; I cleared it but it came back. Is there a way to know which solenoid is bad? Thanks! I know sometimes you have to lower the valve body, which I am afraid to do. Again, I appreciate your help!
hi and thanks for watching, I show in the video what solenoid is the problem n how to test it, hope this helps and thanks again.
Hello friend, good videos, which mechanics manual did you use for that Toyota?
From what i see it can click onley one time but still be good what you think about that
yes if it clicks or makes an operation noise then it is good, it will click every time you apply 12v only if it is connected to the valve body but if it is out of the valve body it will click every time you aply 12v only if you disconect the 12v and let it rest for a least 30 or 50 seconds of a minute and then apply 12v again and it will click, thanks for watching.
My 2002 Automatic Corolla is taking a while (and some throttle) in order to go into gear. It happens when I first start it, but after driving it for a while, it shifts fine. Do you think this could be a faulty solenoid?
when the any of the solenoids fail normaly most of the time the pcm will trigger a trouble code but every body has different case, you should scan it for pending or store codes.
Hi, there is some videos that needs to replace the torque converter. Do i need the replace that?
Hi there 👋🎉, i have same code P0741 but my car is Toyota Camry 2004, can it be the same solenoid SL please? I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks 🙏
How did the car behave on driving when it gave that code P0741?
it had some some delay in changing gear some times, and some hummmm noise from time to time.
@@JM-AUTO How is it now after changing the solenoid? No more whinning noise ?
I can not find that part to save my life! 😩😩 but mine passed the multimeter test but not the battery. I'm not sure if the battery pack i was using is strong enough (though i did see sparks you mentioned). What's the name of that battery tester you were using?
Whats is the torque specs on the transmission pan and the transmission filter? And thank you
18 bolts 48: inch lbs, valve body strainer: bolt A 7 ft-lbs these ones are the 2 on one side of the strainer/filter. bolt B 7 ft-lbs this one is the one that is single on the other side of the strainer. if you have a doubt you can email me n I 'll send you an image.
Thank you so much. Really appreciate for taking your time to reply my question.
What's the green instrument you used to inject 12v called? Might do this job in the future some time soon
I have a Toyota Corolla Matrix 2008 and P0741 code was diagnosed. The mechanic asked that i change my oil and filter. After changing those, he cleared the code.
I drove the car for about 3days before the code came back again. Now we are stocked with no idea.
a diagnose has to be done to determine what is causing the problem or the trouble code, replacing transmission fluid and filter will not solve the issue with this code.
Hi friends, thank you for sharing!!
What's the part number for the solenoid?
this is number 2, it does not go by part num, the name is solenoid SL but toyota does not go by the name either instead they ask you if you can bring the old one so they can match it. I know it seems very strange but that is how they work with these solenoids.
Thanks for the video!!!
Which one is this solenoid?
I have a P0758 code (shift solenoide b electrical)
Is the same that you changed?
hi and thanks for watching, this is solenoid S2 same as solenoid B, if you need to see the location of that shift solenoid S2 (B) this is the link for that video: ua-cam.com/video/Gs_Aj8Mbuzg/v-deo.html
can you tell me the reapir procedure on how to replace solenoid b P456
Which solenoid is shit solenoid A? Trouble code p0751
If I change this solenoid, will it be enough to resolve the vibration produced by the torque converter? Is this solution only to solve the code P0741?
if the solenoid is deffective it will cause drivability issues but best is to test it, some times the problem is the valve body or wires, you might fix the issue.
What's the part #
sorry no part#, they dont have p# have to bring the one you need to toyota n that is how toyota works with these solenoids, even if you give them the name of the solenoid that appears in the scanner when you scan the vehicle they still ask you to bring the old one, very strange.
where is part 2? please
sorry it was going to be but I did not come back to work on the vehicle any more, this link from a short can help you. ua-cam.com/users/shorts9DZ5Gsdxbog
I have a 2012 Chevy Express passenger van it's a 5.3 1LT AWD it has 250000 mostly Highway miles. The trans works great, the engine Burns zero oil and consumes no coolant.
I'm getting the code PO700 and p0741. Shortly after these codes appeared the van began to accelerate strangely. It did this when I first accelerated and right around 45mpr. it would lose power but then gained it again, it would do this several times before going back to its normal performance. I noticed that my RPMs would go down and then quickly up and down again while it was happening. I know this is all a Telltale sign that it's the torque converter. However there is something else happening that is strange. First when this was happening I turned on my tow/ haul button and all symptoms would go away. The fault codes would go away but then always come back as my vans computer system would run its Diagnostics . For the last two weeks I've been driving my van with the tow/haul button off and the van is performing normally, however the fault codes continue to turn off and on. I have had the torque converter checked by a professional transmission shop and they found that the slippage is minor, in fact they said and I have verified that my type of clutch converter is designed to slip a little bit. They recommend a whole new transmission but I know that it could be other things like a solenoid or the computer. The van is currently running perfectly it has no symptoms.
where’s part two?
it is coming out on saturday 04/29/23 thanks for the visit I appreciate it very much.
@@JM-AUTO thank you. i have the same problem with my toyota corolla 2005
@@julianmorales9445i have the same car, did you end up getting it fixed? if so how much did it cost and what part is it called?
Part number pls
this ones go by numbers like 1234 but even they all have a number but the dealerstill will ask you to bring the one you need to show it to them, once they see it, they will match it and sell you the right one, if you know exactly which one you need like the number 3 them they will sell you the number 3 even if you dont bring it with you.
Seriously part number. I dont want to disasemble everything then go to the dealer and then come back.
you have to take it out and bring it to the dealer they dont have a pn, they have some very small printed num but they cant be read and also the dealer does not go by those numbers but they have to see which one you need so they can compare it with the old one.
You have to give the dealership the vin number to your vehicle and they'll give you the correct part
yes but if you don't know the one you need then the vin is useless, thanks for sharing.
4 cylinders
best way would be if you email me so I can send you an image of the locatios of the shift solenoids valves, the one you have the code p0741 is DSL solenoid. it is located on one of the corners among the 7 shift solenoids once you have tken off the oil pan.
Straight forward video. I really appreciate that. No unnecessary information, or repeating the same information excessively. Thank you sir
thank you that is very appreciated and also for your time on the channel.

Was the replacement part "remanufactured" or "used"?
@@djhookflores7369 the first was used one and we got a second one wich also was deffective then the owner bought it from the dealer n problem fixed.
What are the symptoms from the transmission if the code is triggered. My check light comes on and sometimes goes off again but the car drive well.
Pls do you have full tutorial videos on transmission fixing?
