Yeah, that was probably on purpose. They wouldn't model the stumps on both the neck and the head if they didn't anticipate anybody seeing them.
Well there's several dismemberment models so there is a reason for this to happen outside of the cutscene
Considering the suit, Isaac wouldn't have a head. Or, maybe he would but it'd be one of those small Head Necromorphs.
@Seras Lain Probably assimilated with his helmet. It makes sense too since necromorphs do merged themselves with materials/objects in some stages

There are multiple death animations of Isaac losing his head in some way, this is very clearly an unintended bug, still funny tho

I mean we had BF1 and it was very immersive, so it isn't common but it's welcome, I Supremely Despise EA and that's reason alone not to play this game until I've seen AngryJoe's review on this. He's a real one.

Let's at least give EA a little bit of credit for trying to better themselves recently while companies like ActiBlizz, Quantic Dreams, and Ubisoft are doing far worse.
Makes sense. A lot easier than making an infected Issac face AND having to sync his expressions/lips to dialogue.
Especially since his deformed skull is fused with what's left of his helmet.

I found the necromorphic version of Isaac's suit a really interesting concept, especially the description that says "When your mission is to save the person you love that not even death can stop you".
It's like he's hinting that Isaac died at one point during his mission on the USG-Ishimura and was reanimated by an Infector and turned into a Neromorph (but this transformation caused his body to be fused with his engineer suit). But Isaac's willpower was such that he somehow managed to free himself from the chains of Red Marker's control and the Collective Gnosis and managed to harness his transformation, achieving greater strength, stamina, and longevity, but without losing his intellect and humanity. Thus becoming an independent necromorph that retains his human consciousness and with this "advantage" he opens his way against any threat that comes his way and thus it will be easier for him to fulfill his objective.
You know what, this would be a BOSS concept for a spin-off or something like that when it comes to Dead Space. A character that got infected, but instead became stronger and can control themselves instead of being a mindless monster

Credit where credit is due. Thank god EA let Motive do mostly what they wanted. This is exactly what a remake should be, improving on the original game visually and mechanically and the extra content is just the cherry on top. Its enough to almost make me think EA is good again, almost.
Nah man they just got burned by anthem and stuff and decided to fall back on the tried and true money making strategy: actually giving players what we want rather than making a wallet emptying program and trying to tell us that's what we want.

Makes you wonder how the world would be if they had any kind of financial repercussions for driving their company into the ground.

Well. EA will always be marked by them being stingy greedos that would give Mr. Krabs a run of his money, but even in the midst of all this, you can tell they've improved a bit.

The infested suit could be a nod to that silly linegun bomb glitch where you could gib yourself as you switched suit and walk around without limbs

Little fun fact wwhen wearing this, and you walk/sprint you can hear bones crackling.
This detail is a reference to the og Dead Space bug where you could be dismembered without hitting zero HP if you did a certain set of events where the game registered your body as a animation set piece object rather than a player character entity and then suffer damage during that state mid way through.
That’s just funny I’m guessing the developers have been playing some among us by the looks of it

Maybe. But on certain suits like the soldier suit you can peak through the cracks to see that isaacs head disappears when he has his helmet on. So if its a bug where his head stays invisible when taking it off that would suck. But if this was truly meant to be on purpose then kudos.

In the 2008 version Isaac takes his helmet off by closing it just like iron man but fully hidden
No that's Dead Space 2. In the 2008 version he only took his helmet off in the beginning and end and it was like this.

The foldable helmets only appeared in DS2 and 3. Dead Space 1 had it just as a normal helmet.
