I just this month purchased the 2019 790 Duke to complement my 2016 KTM Superduke R. Yes, I seem to be ate up with KTM engineering at the moment. What a wonderful machine the 790 is. Especially after getting the first dealer service out of the way and unlocking the track mode and anti wheelie police. Now I am having even more fun on this lightweight machine. I did do the CRG bar end mirror swap because those factory mirrors were rubbish (view distortion and looks). If it suits, I may race this in the US in the CCS, AHRMA, and FMRRA Racing orgs where appropriate. Hi Guy's - Very nice video I liked it a lot. I have a 2019 KTM 790 Duke the mod that has made the my 790 bike spectacular to ride is the WP suspension upgrade, that's a complete adjustable rear shock and adjustable cartridges for the fork. This kit is available at the WP website; and in my opinion it's a must have upgrade. My 790 Duke is the best riding motorcycle I've owned and that covers quite a few bikes. Next to the new suspension I have to say that the engine & quick shifter is pretty darn nice. I too have experienced false naturals but I think that's more me that the quick shifter, just not used to having a quick shifter on the bike, so I think the shifting will get better over time. Oh and another great thing about this bike is the gas mileage I just got back from a week with a friend riding in Oregon on some super fantastic roads and I was getting between 57 and 60 mpg, and we were zipping it up most of the time. The other things you suggested to change I'll probably do over time on my bike as well.
Love my 790 Duke. I too like others have made a few mods, changed the mirrors to the KTM bar end mirrors and added a bit of bling from KTM PowerParts including removing the passenger seat and added the plastic pillion cover. Haven't changed the exhaust yet because I actually like it but will change the tail tidy to the one from KTM's PowerParts. The other thing I do want to change but not in a major hurry to do so is change the levers to the KTM shorty ones. By the way you can change out the suspension now. WP Suspension now have a kit for both the front and rear if you want adjustable suspension.
