This podcast would be perfect if they didn't rush to talk over each other all the time like a competition. I just want some calm conversations about watches!!
Probably best to look elsewhere - we’re just too excited over here
Nico's style is more mass appealing, no-nuance blanket statements that are easy to agree or disagree with, which is part of the reason he's so popular. I watched the therapy session and felt like off camera, Nico probably would have been more agreeable to some of your positive points about Hublot.
But I also see Nico’s opinion based on their current status, he doesn’t view the history as much of a factor. Sure he mentions their past, but when he ranks watches, he bases it off how they’re doing now
2:15 - “Yes that has a movement that you would not write home about”. Enough said 😂
You cannot take away from your passion, Andrew. A superb rant, and I mean that as a very sincere compliment. I believe rants serve a valuable purpose.
Definitely THE moment of this particular episode. For someone normally so calm and collected, to see how strongly Andrew feels about this subject hits different. Raises many pertinent, moot points about Hublot that the masses might otherwise have been unaware of, as well.
I do love Hublot since the 80ies. Owning 2 pieces and they are stunning.
Just get one AP instead of two hublots just better in every way
people just hate Hublot and can't even stand others enjoying their Hublot. I as an Hublot owner loves that in particular.
I have a Hublot Big Bang carbon - and I agree completely Andrew (awesome Hublot wall clock George) that Hublot are some of the daring-est innovators in the watch industry. But at times I also feel the same way as Adrian when I see their ads and think, let us give you the respect and credit you deserve, not what you tell us to through marketing. And you have to admit, over the recent years, the QC of some of the Hublot pieces seen in the wild is lacking, almost as if the watches are rushed out for sale. They have to realise, every T,D & H nowadays have a macro-lens and if it doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, the watch community talks… a lot!
Andrew is the realist. I am a Hublot hater but after hearing those points he made I don’t know why I hate on them so much. Obviously the movements aren’t anything special but they do some cool designs and there’s no question the build quality is impressive. Andrew should get a medal for having the composure to not deck George or Adrian while interrupting his points. Those two act like obnoxious teenagers that feed off of each others petty, awful jokes. The secondhand embarrassment is real.
cant agree more. They should probably have some respect to each other as watch lovers.
Loving Hublot over an old Speedy or Sub is like loving the Dubai Burj Al Khalifa hotel over the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Nico, please keep on deg-rating Hublot. 😄
It’s About Effing Time there was another full episode of About Effing Time? 😂
We agree - feels likes ages 🥹
Look for a Hublot Video from me this coming week mate ! We have a decent selection stock
If you need other people's approval of your choice of watch brands, who are you buying the watch for?
Is that 6 straight videos on this subject/the same podcast? I don't understand three news format at all, and frankly it's hard to digest.
No they just release the podcast, but also release little clips from them
Overrated: Rolex Grey-Market Prices
Andrew, I must say that I have had the Royal Oak on my grail list for a very long time, but the Classic Fusion Orlinski is an absolutely stunning watch, particularly in titanium. That has immediately jumped to the top of the list and I am glad you brought this model to light. Couldn't agree more on Hublot being underrated.
No Corum 😢.
Nobody talks about this unique brand .
Its one of the very few high end watch brands I would ever consider buying.
Overrated: Casio G-shock, Seiko Prospex, Aqua Terra, Panorama SeaQ 39.5; Underrated: Nomos Club
How is a G Shock underrated
Nico is funny as a youtuber. If hublot brings a defamation case I'm sure he'll change the tune
That was entertaining! Wouldn’t buy a Hublot, but can understand why you might.
At the risk of sacrilege, how about the Vostok watch company? They are Russian. Vostok produces a serviceable in-house automatic movement that keeps decent time, about +- 10 seconds a day. Their watches have bomb proof functionality. You can buy one for under $100. They are totally cool and have a near cult following.
Cult brand
I love Hublot and respect them a lot. In my opinion there's no other Brand, that is so innovative like Hublot. I would definetly prefer to wear a Hublot than a AP
But Hublot was not the first brand to wrap 🐈 💩 in eye catching materials, just like Richard Mille. Don’t hate Hublot & Richard Mille, just don’t rate them, in fact they’re massively overrated.
Sorry but Hublot is fashion brand.. sure they have some interesting models but most of it just style without substance.
HUBLOT SUCKS 😂stop rambling . They dont align the screws on a 60k watch ! .
Classic take people parrot - do you shit on Cartier too? Most companies do not have actual screw alignment. AP included, since they use bolts and not screws. Screws take way more precision to implement.
@@xenochrist13you own a hublot don't you ? 😂. When your paying 60k for a watch you align whatever there is period....
hublot wearer now you will feel like a knobhead its just the way its is nothing you can say will change that .
Hublot is totally trash
All I had to do was look at Hublot to hate them ... and without knowing that hating them was even a thing. It's in their DNA. They're ham-fisted, loud, crap that targets and attracts the loud and ignorant. They're not for serious watch aficionados. They're for people that want a big, loud and, most importantly, expensive, watch.
They want a watch that says, "I spent a lot of money" more than anything.
Theyre posers.
Please look at the people buying Rolex nowadays. The vast majority of them are not interested in the movement etc at all but they just want „a Rolex“ because everybody does. I actually know four people in my closer circle of friends who put their name on the list but don’t know shit about the specific watch apart from its name. Hublot for posers? Yeah, maybe some of them. Rolex? Definitely a higher percentage.
and what are you? a brainwashed trash talker with no sense?
