Hey LifeHackster, thanks for the awesome review! Your insights keep us motivated to keep on improving. 😄👍 By the way, at the 3:24 mark, there's actually a little trick you might have missed. If you long-press the lightbulb icon in the camera interface's bottom-right corner for 2 seconds, a color temperature adjustment option will pop up. Give it a try - it's like magic! 🪄🌈 Keep up the great work, and thanks again for your support!
Thats great! I definitely missed that one. A little pop up window when pressing the light bulb icon stating “long press to change settings” would help customers to easily find this setting. Thank you for letting me test your camera system. I’m hoping video doorbell(s) and wired and plug in cameras are in the works ;)
We've been trying to find cameras to put up for our mom who is showing off and on dementia but she's still pretty privy to noticing things. Just found the Noorio on Amazon and the sound doesn't matter much to us, the video is more important. Thank you for specifying that the Noorio doesn't NEED the Hub. We've been trying to figure out how to run wires or set up a hub without her noticing the extra "thing" setting on her table plugged into the Spectrum wi-fi. I already have the Arlo cameras but again....noticeable hub to set out. I believe the Noorio is the way that we will go. I like the fact that it has the heavy duty magnet like the Arlos. Just stick it to her railing outside and put one inside in the common area attached to the top of the window blind rack. She doesn't look up much because of her neck, so that should be good.
Thanks again for doing these comparisons. I think Eufy's ability to pick up motion while going towards the camera is huge! I agree, Noorio's app is better with the modes right there.
You are welcome and thanks for watching!
Great comparison, Lifehackster! Also Congratulations on getting to 200k subs.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
Looks like Eufy for the win again. I was going purchase 2 Eufy L40’s from Costco for $160 back in April from thier monthly deals. However, Eufy hadn’t gotten them to work with the homebase 3 yet. Almost 4 months later and they’re still working on getting them to connected to the HB3.
On their timeline supposedly end of the month…but who knows…they are playing catch up instead of having designed their cameras to integrate their homebase from the start.
Nice comparison especially with the apps. That’s nice to know and would like to see more about the apps for these cameras.
Also would you consider evaluating the work fi Lorex cameras?
Thanks
Audio on the Noorio is awful. Eufy for the win. Also, thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your reviews.
Excellent review!
Great videos, would you recommend a Noorio HUB when using over 3x devices?
Nice comparison. I've been thinking about replacing my Wyze V3s because I *really* want something with RTSP capabilities built in so I can record to a local NVR. Obviously wired POE is much better but running cables just isn't an option right now. What I'd love is basically a better quality V3 with a starlight sensor and real RTSP firmware and not the half baked 'beta' they released then pulled last year.
Reolink plug in WiFi cameras streams to my Reolink NVR or basically my network without issues.
Good to know. My only complaint about Reolink is they are fairly large cameras and while not super expensive they're replacing all my cams wouldn't be cheap. I forget the exact model but I was looking at a couple of Eufy's "eyeball" cams and they seem decent and are priced more in my range. I need to do some more testing with the Docker Wyze bridge. So far it's working pretty good but I haven't tried any NVR software with it yet.
Nice comparison!
Thanks for watching!
Similar but feels like the eufy is a bit more polished
Hi LifeHackster, I was wondering if you will be able to review the Lindo Intelligent Battery Spotlight Camera? They said this Cam has full-color night vision beause of its 600 lumens spotlight.I love your reviews and would like your opinion on it.
Design, app, features… Looks like one is copying another. Anyway I guess it’s good to have some competition! Thanks for this detailed review comparison!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you.
Noorio’s low bitrate is noticeable.
It is… more motion blur.
Nice review, I want to decide if I should get my parents a eufy floodlight or blink one, could you do a review of what is the best floodlights for 2023
Eufy
Similar but I notice that the color after turning on the spotlight at night is a bit different.
I have blink cameras and they never pick up anything unless it is too late or possums. It never picks up us when outside walking the dogs so I wonder what we are missing at night and if anyone comes while we aren’t home. I wish I could afford to buy the Eufy cameras because I would definitely replace all my blink cameras. I love that Eufy has better audio than what we have now with blink. I know this video isn’t comparing to blink but anything and everything has to be better than blink. I mean if I paid for the blink service it works so much better but not paying for it it sucks and records nothing all the time but again never us humans
The better option is to get a wired or plug in setup. They don’t use a PIR sensor and more accurate and reliable in detecting motion and you can even set them to record 24/7.
i agree i have blink and ring battery cameras i like the quality that it has but its like i get the recording to late and its getting to be a deal breaker because that's the point of having cameras to recording and detection and motion soon as possible and be able to recognize human dog etc. so i think im about to sell my blink and ring and upgrade
I think if you're going to get a small eufy. Might as well get the 2c pro.
I’m having terrible problems with the Wi-Fi in the L 40. I have the Eufy homebase two and two other cameras that have no issues. The L 40s are extremely slow when they work at all. I have a gigabyte AT&T Wi-Fi six router. Have any ideas?
Hi. I had to return the ring cam plus- I wasn't getting notification & sounds, & poor technical support. I don't know what camera to get now.
I hope you went with Eufy👍
Would be nice if these had SD card slots rather than built in memory. No need for subscription. I noticed reolink has a micro SD card slot and optional cloud storage which you need for rich notifications. I was able to get a one month free trial and after that expired I was able to get another free trial through a different server. Looks like I can continue doing this for awhile without having to pay.
eufy has better audio that Noorio sounds like your under water. eufy is way better..
As a change of pace, why not do a vid reviewing UA-cam channel creator video production cams or the ''ring lights''?
Might be a good idea. Thanks for watching!
Looks like the Noorio is warmer and softer on the image, while Eufy is cooler and more detailed. Clearly, Eufy beats out the Noorio when it comes to audio quality and Detection.
Does anyone know whether the L40 is now compatible with the Homebase 3? Thanks
Do i need a Hub or a Base for the L40? or does it work just with a app too?
No. You can set it up to connect directly to your WiFi.
Eufy makes no sense, they have 3 cameras exactly the same but they have different model numbers, Eufy C24, Eufy E220, Eufy 210. Why does shopping for security cameras have to be so difficult
What would any of you go with vs the other? App experiences as well.
Your on a Eufy ad
Lol…I just re-read this comment and I apologize..I think you said that I was in a Eufy AD… which is true..they licensed some of my videos for their advertising. I’m sorry that I misunderstood your comment. I thought you said “ I’m a Eufy AD”
The sound quality is much better on eufy.
Is eufy suitable for indoor?
Yes, it can be used indoors.
Could it be a bad speaker or is it just a awful speaker?
71$ Eufy now
Shall i buy it or wait for prime?
That’s pretty good deal!
We had a complete Eufy system for two years. Three different types of cameras inside and outside, movement sensors, door and window sensors, keypad…. After accidentally finding one youtuber discussing the security breach, I found dozens of others. I contacted Amazon, boxed everything up and returned it for a full refund. They didn’t argue. Eufy products are well made but they lied about not storing images and audio on their servers, so never again!
Fair enough. But there were a lot of misinformation that was spread by UA-cam and social media on this. If you have an app controlled security cam and has rich notifications turned On, then the snapshots from the notifications are stored in a server temporarily and these applies to all brands from Ring, Nest, Arlo, wyze, Lorex, Swann…Reolink aside from their doorbell doesn’t have this feature but all these app controlled brands have to ping a server everytime you open your account in the app.
@@LifeHackster so which fixed system would you go for? I need to view cameras live and receive alerts on my phone. Feeling a bit lost.
@@LysanderLH NVR system but if you don’t want notification snapshots to be uploaded in a server…then go with Reolink because they don’t have this feature. You still receive notifications, can access the cameras and NVR recordings remotely via the app. If you don’t want any of your info in a server though, then you have to sacrifice not getting notifications and remote access by deleting the app and unplugging your NVR system from your router…you will then get true local only security camera system. You just have to manually check for recorded events via the NVR.
@@LifeHackster thanks so much. I now feel sorry for Eufy.
Please review Aosu cam. I think it's also a clone of Eufy.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My L40 is no longer working. Would not recommend.
💐👍👏🌹🌷💐
Sorry for the long comment. Has anyone used the eufy camE for an extended period, over a year? I got the 3 camera system like 18 months ago and then added another camera over a year ago and everything was great. Flash forward after a year or more one camera started to stop allowing live view but still worked with motion, and then a few months later stopped working where it was placed even though it had been working fine for over a year. Now it’s happening again with another camera. Eufy support is useless since it’s outside the warranty. Now I have a camera that is getting a “failed to set (-100) error when trying to view live and or turn it off. Any ideas?
They literally have almost the same app
Thank you.
