Yeah, while Gibson was certainly my “aspirational” brand as a kid (and I still love and play the used LP I got back in the day), and they new “1984” models look fun … USD 2.5k!? While I’m now an old dude who _could_ afford that without bankrupting myself, why would I? I mean I could get a new Solar V-style with a Floyd Rose for less than half of that 😎 (assuming I could find either in the country in which I live! 😅).
There are so many great guitars nowadays that are in the $500-850 range. Gibson has to evolve or they're going to price themselves into obscurity.

Lars goes on to say that whenever they were in Texas they always looked forward to hanging out with Dime and Vinnie because they were such cool hosts. Great stories, I wish they’d mentioned that years ago because I always thought they weren’t close with Pantera but now it looks like they were.
