"I generally don't like people" I knew there was a reason beyond the music as to why I love the Misfits. I feel you Doyle. I too have raging social anxiety. It was never a problem when I had crutches like weed, cigarettes, and booze. When these things were out of the picture, only then did I realize my close family and friends were the only people I could stand to be around comfortably. Love ya bro, Misfits rule!
I to have social anxiety, and I too don’t like most people. I have my own group of people surrounding me, that have been chosen by me through my own scrutiny processes and values. I have at least only one person I can say is at true friend. I am more than happy to be like this.
Doyle's right. I am from Panama. I was at the reunion in Chicago 2016. Man.. I dont know if its cause Im 36 and the crowd was a little younger in its majority, but everybody was just standing there or leaving early (just to say they saw Misfits live and thats that). Now, I couldnt get to the pit cause I had my 6 year old on my shoulders, but I was yelling my fucking heart out in every song they played for over an hour (I think). I am from Panama. I took a plane for 6 hours to Chicago and spent more than $2,500 in total to be there. I saw Misfits in Panama back in like 98 or something.... With Jerry on the mic, and I knew it wasnt going to be the same with Danzig and it was going to be a one time life experience now. We, being not from the US love the bands even more. Fan base is way stronger here.
Doyle is just the coolest guy ever. He don’t mince words, no bullshit straight and to the point. He don’t get caught up in the BS between Glen and Jerry, Doyle speaks for himself. He’s said it before only in rock and roll can guys be so hardheaded and stubborn to make millions of dollars. More Misfits reunion shows/dvd/live albums/new albums are a freaking gold mine for everyone in the band. I know the bad blood from 80’s , try and heal and forgive some of that shit. There is great music to be made and by the way you will get paid handsomely.
Love this guy. he's great...so matter of fact no nonsense. Sticking his lighted phone in a phone happy fan's face at meet n greet to show her what it's like. LEGEND.
I've said those exact words "I don't like people"... I know what he means. People in general ARE no good. Most will steal from you. Others Act like friends so they can get in good with your girl. Others talk shit about you to people when your not around. This dude is very sensible. Behind the goulish make up he is very realistic and emphatic and takes no shit. I admire him.
Really cool to see Doyle has some Social Anxiety, I wouldn't say I'm completely diagnosed with it but a lot of times going anywhere gives me a lot of anxiety, Meeting new people or just being in places I'm not familiar, As soon as I heard his IG had to go follow him, Really great interview.
I understand Doyle completely. When we play, my band guys sometimes get upset because they don't understand my needs to just play my part and get away from people. Very rarely can I do the meet with the fans, pictures and the social aspects. Sometimes I'll have a good night and I can, but I sure pay for it. If you have social anxiety or are introverted, being social drains your energy. I have a social hangover if I do and it will take me a couple days to recover. People like Doyle and myself aren't trying to be rude, we appreciate people that like our music enough to spend their money to listen to it and to come see us, but not everyone is programed to be social, and for some, it's physically draining and can be a huge detriment to our well being...and possibly yours, if you push us!
Kyle 7K I apologize in advance if I sound like a dick in any way but, come on man.. I think you and Doyle are in two COMPLETELY different situations. This guy isn’t some average looking dude. He looks like a pro wrestler and that’s enough to get people’s attention. Add on the fact that he’s part of a legendary band so I can see why he’s a little freaked out when strangers walk up to him. I was curious and clicked your profile and your bands videos have about 30 views each. My band has a pretty decent following around our hometown but not anything really out of the norm. I never get pestered or harassed by “fans” after the show. We may get a few fistbumps and some “good set!”s but that literally goes away as soon as we are back in the crowd and cheering on the next band or if we’re closing and waiting while the bar closes so we can get paid and leave. I’m sure you have a great band and a great following and all, but with all due respect- Doyle is a living legend and you’re not.
My comment has nothing to do with mental health man. I was just saying that Doyle has some people from all over that know who he is. He's not just some dude performing at the local bar.
Dude just seems to be going with the flow, if the misfits do a thing ,great , if not, oh well. Like what the hell can he do if Glenn and Jerry don’t come to terms. So he just does Doyle; gotta respect that. I’m actually a big fan of Doyle, and Gorgeous Frankenstein
Sadly, people are more interested in how the video will look on their social media pages rather than how the actual concert is itself. It's more important to them that people know they were there, than them actually having been there and watched a show. He's wrong about it being exclusive to the US, though, as it happens everywhere these days. People will just stand there and watch an entire show through their camera-phone, money well-spent, I guess.
Very true. I agree %100. But at the same time ... you are in a punk band ... playing live gigs . Shit happens . Deal with it. Your job is to get up on stage for 45 minutes and play power chords on your guitar. Stop acting so entitled. He has probably never really worked a day in his life. Besides applying his fucking makeup ... he needs to get over himself.

It's not "corpsepaint", per se, because he's not a black metal guy, or at least doesn't play black metal. It really isn't all that similar looking to corpsepaint either. That style is generally very distinct. I am now wondering though if Dead and Euronymous were Misfits fans, or King Diamond or Slayer perhaps, which were two bands that were pretty influential for Norwegian black metal in the late 80s and early 90s.
To me, he looks and sounds like Jack Kerouac and I always wonder (like me) if Jack Kerouac had Social Anxieties as well. Anyway, Doyle is my hero for having Social Anxiety and being able to play guitar in front of so many people (I can't do it).

All's I'm saying is if a few kids try to come up and stage dive at a punk show, ease up, guy. He takes it like any time anyone does that, it's a personal attack against him, and he stops playing the guitar to throw them off or punch them. I get he's not the typical guitar player, but try not to be such an Afroman all the time.
It's funny to hear him laugh at Gene Simmons then @ 10:05 that's Clearly "Detroit Rock City" playing in the background. The lead singer of Doyle is some Killer badass mix of Bon Scott, Phil Anselmo, and Danzig himself that u would meet at some DirtySouth kegger. And that's a GOOD THING!!!
He's literally telling you that your not a good interview. You're having to beg him to talk. You are projecting so hard on this guy. Give up my guy. This is a trainwreck and I'm not even half way through it. Doyle is practically a saint for putting up with your pick up artist attitude.

I love Doyle. Only select people I like to be around and I couldn't imagine being a musician. People will say it's part of the job to hang with fans but not really it isn't. He's an artist and his job is to do just that, make art.
lol @ 3:24 "I'm sure *you guys* could live off of merchandise alone" --- Doyle: "I'm sure *they* could, yeah" --- Jerry still owns it all, right? Or probably Danzig has established a cut?
I was gonna comment because no one seemed to catch that, expect for you and I. I'm guessing it's both of them, considering the reunion shows were advertised "original bassist and singer songwriter", but not guitar player. I know he wasn't the first guitar player, but most people think of Doyle when they think Misfits. I think it's something new, because the lawsuit that allowed them to use the name had both Jerry and Paul Caifa.
Doyle was actually more attentive in this interview, he just has a 'I really couldn't give a fuck' attitude. Don't blame him though, the interview process is just a deal, the interviewer gets what they want and the band members get exposure, you don't need to entertain and do cartwheels etc. Just because a person doesn't give a fuck about something doesn't make them rude etc. Look at the rig rundown video, the interviewer was asking interesting questions and doyle was actually interested in talking to the guy.
BOTB was a GOOD question! If Glenn was on board with the Misfits, absolutely they would headline/co-headline (with Danzig). The fact that they weren't part of it is an indication that, at best, Glenn is being passive aggressive about the project of his that has the most enthusiasm from the fans. I see Jerry's not doing anything either, probably on Glenn's orders ("if you ever want me to play with you again, you better put 'your Misfits' shit on hold... 'cept merchandise that enrichens us both), so we are just waiting around for any word from GD. I wish someone would ask Glenn directly, but maybe he warns interviewers not to 'go there' before he agrees to talk.
+elataurd First of all, I'm 43. Glenn is already "paying" his own band, right? Not to mention Ministry, Venom, and all the other fucking bands. In quotes, because the money actually comes from the revenue generated from the people who buy tickets and buy shit while they are there, with enough left over for a nice profit for Glenn (or he wouldn't keep doing it). What is the difference between that and "paying" Doyle and Jerry? Plus, there would be more money generated from which to pay people, since the Misfits would easily be the biggest draw. More people would come, and they could justify higher ticket prices. Doyle is saying that to help Glenn save face, he won't say anything to make him look bad. If Jerry were running it, Doyle would say what he meant.
Socially anxious....me too! Meeting him and hearing he doesn't like the VIP meets just make extra money.......I don't blame him dude loves his fans he just tired old n anxious like some of us. He wanna lay down n go to his bed n chill with his own ppl 💀🖤
great interview! i like the guy's questions and how direct he was and tried to make it a natural interview by asking relevant follow up questions. Doyle has a certain tension
No. This guy is ignoring numerous verbal, and non verbal cues. He flat out tells him he's asking horse shit questions. This comes off like a cringey guy trying to convince a woman to tell him why she hates him in an attempt to make her love him.
He is a typical muscle head, he has that i don't give a fuck because i can kick your ass attitude and i love it. He's friendly enough to talk to but you'll be super careful what you say just in case
.....powerblocks are pretty good, just sayin'. Cheaper than the bowflex ones too. Doyle got a whole generation of punks and skaters in the gym slinging iron.

i agree but honestly i hate that people see it this way. personally me im in love with archives and footage of concerts, especially the classics. while i dont record the whole damn show, i dont mind people who do because in the future that footage will be there for everyone to appreciate
Doyle and Jerry are complicated dudes. Glenn as well. I wish they'd get interviewed by people who are a little bit more geared towards their creativity and psychologies and have some real cool interviews with these interesting people. These are good interviews but I always feel like more could be asked and said. Maybe not.
Somebody with a social anxiety has a hard time doing a interview. And to not show your fear you may act 'strange' or may look arrogant.I know that because thats the label i get when iam around folks i dont know and feel unconfortable as fuck. But to say hes a 'douche' or ' dick' is just dumb as fuck...But to judge others is easy.Specially on youtube.Hiding behind a nickname.
DarkElitist same here. people think im an asshole because i hardly say anything and my face doesnt show emotions but i just have nothing to say and im not gonna fake a smile. most of the time people wanna talk about dumb shit. i like having real conversations but most people dont even wanna talk about the things im interested in so its just an endless cycle of people not getting me. people hardly ever get to know that im truly nice, accepting, and full of empathy.
I like Doyle’s interviews BECAUSE he doesn’t give long winded bullshit answers. Ya get the vibe he doesn’t wanna be there because he fucking doesn’t. 😂
I totally get where this guy is coming from. He does these things because he knows he has to and it's part of his work ethic. Many interviewers have these loaded questions in hopes to pull unwanted reactions, TMZ Hollywood buzz type bullshit. When you're a deep thinker these questions become arbitrary, imbecilic, childish, and lacking of any real structure. Then when you don't play up for the camera or put on a fake set of emotions then they are put off by it. Happens with people in every day life as well with that pointless small talk that people use because they can't stand not talking when someone is around. I'm always very polite to people but in reality I pretty much want nothing to do with anyone that isn't family or a long time friend. People at work don't get it because I'm very outgoing in the shop and like to make jokes and see people happy, but I keep work at work and take none of those people in to my personal life. Long story long, I get why Doyle is not entertained with lifeless mundane idle chat. Just like my long comment bores the shit out of you.
This interviewer was awful, sorry. I loved Doyle’s facial expressions and his laid back attitude even though you could tell he couldn’t be bothered with the interviewer.

I love Doyle. Only select people I like to be around and I couldn't imagine being a musician. People will say it's part of the job to hang with fans but not really it isn't. He's an artist and his job is to do just that, make art.
He has to sell the art if he wants to make a living.
I like that guy. He's cool!
He really does have social anxiety.... I thought I was bad. But he's so cool and chill.
lol @ 3:24 "I'm sure *you guys* could live off of merchandise alone" --- Doyle: "I'm sure *they* could, yeah" --- Jerry still owns it all, right? Or probably Danzig has established a cut?
I was gonna comment because no one seemed to catch that, expect for you and I. I'm guessing it's both of them, considering the reunion shows were advertised "original bassist and singer songwriter", but not guitar player. I know he wasn't the first guitar player, but most people think of Doyle when they think Misfits.
I think it's something new, because the lawsuit that allowed them to use the name had both Jerry and Paul Caifa.
Right about cell phones lol
Doyle was actually more attentive in this interview, he just has a 'I really couldn't give a fuck' attitude. Don't blame him though, the interview process is just a deal, the interviewer gets what they want and the band members get exposure, you don't need to entertain and do cartwheels etc. Just because a person doesn't give a fuck about something doesn't make them rude etc. Look at the rig rundown video, the interviewer was asking interesting questions and doyle was actually interested in talking to the guy.
He seems annoyed here. Even annoyed, he's not rude. I really like Doyle. Good guy imo.
10:10-10:17
Horrible audio man. Like a mono phone conversation with more hiss though...Also, the misfits at the botb fest question was kinda dumb...
elartaud it was in a running RV with a stereo playing
+Cheetah Thunders. I'll give you the same answer doyle gave: "Who's gonna Pay them?"........Glenn??...is he gonna pay himself? Hahah. Silly kid.
@@SOFAKINGCOOLONLINE doesn't sound like it, you just have a shitty mic
"I just don't like people.." Fucking A!!!!
Socially anxious....me too! Meeting him and hearing he doesn't like the VIP meets just make extra money.......I don't blame him dude loves his fans he just tired old n anxious like some of us. He wanna lay down n go to his bed n chill with his own ppl 💀🖤
quality is like this was filmed with early 2000's flip phone.
@ 10:22 Doyles like WTF???? 🤣🤣🤣
great interview! i like the guy's questions and how direct he was and tried to make it a natural interview by asking relevant follow up questions. Doyle has a certain tension
No. This guy is ignoring numerous verbal, and non verbal cues. He flat out tells him he's asking horse shit questions. This comes off like a cringey guy trying to convince a woman to tell him why she hates him in an attempt to make her love him.
Whole Lottanope where does he “flat out” tell him he’s asking horseshit questions? You’re an idiot
What brand of hair gel is he working with?
Glue
Black paint 😁😁😁😁😁
I must say that trying to watch this wearing only the right ear bud was highly confusing.
Commitment and healthy choices this dude has always been ripped
El urbano city dweller and roids
Aaron Lean lol I'm fitness freak that's how I know. You can't develop muscles like that on a vegan diet especially in your 50s. Not knocking it. Steroids have they're benefits.
@@jehkjshrfk totally not true. Check out vegan body builders. Check out Doyle. Stop arguing with truth and observable proof -- esp that you yourself have observed.
100% agree with the phones issue.
i agree but honestly i hate that people see it this way. personally me im in love with archives and footage of concerts, especially the classics. while i dont record the whole damn show, i dont mind people who do because in the future that footage will be there for everyone to appreciate
"""I just generally don't like people,,""... Doyle is so fucking cool..
Doyle and Jerry are complicated dudes. Glenn as well. I wish they'd get interviewed by people who are a little bit more geared towards their creativity and psychologies and have some real cool interviews with these interesting people. These are good interviews but I always feel like more could be asked and said. Maybe not.
Welcome to my nightmare playing in the background that was a good one
is his devilock real hair or jus electrical tape?
I love this dude
I came here looking for Doyle Bramhall and I leave feeling like I need a shower.
Doyle's so Jersey
Annoying interviewer.
He was okay, maybe not so much on Doyle's wavelength though.
I like Doyle’s interviews BECAUSE he doesn’t give long winded bullshit answers. Ya get the vibe he doesn’t wanna be there because he fucking doesn’t. 😂
How does he not trip on that jaw line
Audio only in one ear.
Is his Devilock fake and just electrical tape?
Jeffrey Lee Nah its real just lots of hair gel and tape
He's right about the Dio horns
I have social anxiety too.
This interviewer was awful, sorry. I loved Doyle’s facial expressions and his laid back attitude even though you could tell he couldn’t be bothered with the interviewer.
he sounds like Mickey Rourke BUT Doyle has aged beautifully
He reminds me of Mickey Rourke, too! Particularly in The Wrestler.
Imagine my confusion as a person who is completely deaf in her left ear..
He’s fucking awesome
