You know I once saw someone say sticker star was better because of power bounce... yeah, I think anyone who knows how OP running is in sticker star knows how bad a take that was.
Like 2 of those reviews I could undrstand not being the type of game these people expected, but like, the second to last one broke me. I don't even understand what this guy could like or actively be playing. He mentions Final Fantasy being an actual remake, but the fact that the original aged better than the original version of Final Fantasy and thus the remake doesn't have to include ground-breaking differences, doesn't mean it's not a remake. And he was also really, really pissed about not having multiplayer in an RPG. Like, okay, some Final Fantasy games do have multiplayer, but it's always a bonus that arguably most people don't use anyway. It's a bonus.
There's a few things I kind of agree with, even tho I love this game. But I don't get why that one guy got so worked up over the non-multiplayer thing. But I do also have my own gripes with the game, especially with the remake. For one, I have to agree a bit with all the backtracking complaints. Then, while I love the battle system, I find it too easy to exploit. You can cheese so many fights by just stacking attack bonuses and using powerbounce (or Goombella's equivalent). Vivian's vanish ability is also pretty op to avoid any danger, even tho she's one of my favourite partners. On the same note, I also never was a fan of superguard. Sure, the timing is hard to learn but if you're good at it, you can go through 99% of the game without ever taking damage, which kinda removes the strategizing of turn-based combat, always having to calculate incoming damage, preparing for it and such. In my eyes, this form of combat should be a constant back and forth, which is why I prefer just using regular guarding. And for the remake, this might be a hot take but in my opinion this game didn't need a remake. The Gamecube game still looks and feels like a modern game. And I don't like some of the changes they made. But it would be cool to see the 2 new superbosses in the original version. Anyways, enough rantinh. As I said I still love the original, would probably give it a 9/10 despite my gripes with it. But I didn't even play the remake.
Vivian's Veil sucks actually. It's ALREADY a nerfed version of Lady Bow's Outta Sight which ALWAYS allowed Mario to move again whereas Veil skips Mario's turn if he's already made his move during the turn Veil was used, meaning the enemy just attacks again. Because of this change, there's no reason to ever waste FP on Veil outside of the niche scenarios it was intended for (such as Gloomtail's Megabreath) whereas Outta Sight basically gave Mario extra turns. Do you see what the game did there? It took a mechanic from the original Paper Mario and ITERATED on it to make it less broken and more tailored to the purpose the developers had in mind. Now imagine a world where TTYD got a proper sequel that iterated on the battle system in the same way. I assure you, all of these things would be non-issues by now.
It’s not necessary the fact that said that it’s a bad game, it’s more of how he tries to engage his take and not be honest about how he’s presenting his “qualms”.
5:36 Only real ones know who OnlyOneHere is. If you don’t know, all he does is say that a game is a steaming pile of garbage and yap about how bad it is for paragraphs. It’s hilarious.

colour splash deserves way more reconition sure the battle system still sucks but apart from the the game is so good and no annoying backtracking from ttyd chapter 4 and teh general white quest buf i still prefer ttyd.
@@mallowfan22 to me it's the lack of original characters that keeps CS (and the modern series in general) from even having a chance at matching the first three games, especially TTYD. The beauty of the Paper Mario series is its ability to have a rich cast of unique characters that aren't already commonplace in the general Mario series yet still organically fit in with those who do. If modern PM was allowed to have that (and the crazier stories that come with it) I'd unironically be fine with them having weird battle systems.
A lot of people do seem to disregard the unique mechanics of modern paper mario. Of course TTYD was the best one, but in my opinion, Origami King had some fun battle mechanics. The puzzle format is done well! (don't call me a hater or bash me please as I never said anything negative towards any paper mario games)
Y'know if you're gonna write a long review for a game, you should really change up the pattern of your words- if TTYD is repetitive and boring, then the guy's rant at 5:46 is a fucking slog

If you don't know, because sticker star has no EXP, running is effectively instant death on every non required enemy
@@KevX36 and running defeats the enemy
@@TheZestyCoder I know, hence the whole, effectively instant death comment
running away is just a stronger, free version of ttyd showstopper if you think about it
@@somebodylikesbacon1960At least Showstopper has a cost.

Pretty sure 9/10 of these "reviews" are trolls
Now read good reviews for Sticker Star.

Hmm maybe I was actually thinking about Miss Bow's move, not Vivian's, my bad then. Must have mixed them up in my head
Honestly my biggest issue with the remake is that (to my knowledge) you can’t skip dialogue and have to sit through it
Look y'all! i ain't a big fan of the remake, but that one review was absolutely ridiculous! XD
Why not was it to "expensive" it isnt any cheaper than any other switch games or ps5 and xbox
