Hi Guys, another Tuesday tip for you talking to you about Bistro lights. If you were to do a quick Google search on Bistro lights you'll see so many different lights it’s overwhelming. Here’s my recommendation on Bistro lights in in this video.
It’s a little deceiving ‘cuz our first example is too lit up. But we'll show you some off camera shots of these are FX Bistro lights. They are wonderful and the reason you're going to love them is because they're part of your everyday outdoor lighting - you don't have to flip a switch every time to get these to work. They come on every night and you can control these through a smart device so these Bistro lights are awesome for your outdoor space
Second, an example of a bistro light setup that’s over a beautiful sunken fire pit and look at how awesome this Bistro light setup is. You have the posts, you have the bistro lights and I want to show you what this looks like at night ‘cuz it's hard to see during the day. It just really draws you out further into your landscape - it is a great mood lighting environment - and it's very cost effective - especially when you compare it to traditional outdoor lights. Please think about this when you are thinking about your Bistro light setup.
Bistro Lighting will give you the ambient lights throughout your outdoor space and you don't necessarily have to spend a lot, or hire an electrical contractor for a contract a job for lighting - these bistro lights will do an amazing job for you.

Can I put a dimmer on my string light? They are only 0.6 watts, LED, but still too bright in my small area.

Oh Bistro Lights, I was wondering what Beestro Lights were....

I like them in the beginning, now after the homeowners association, and the planning departments in the city's got involved I'm beginning to not like them as much. Homeowners associations don't like them because they reflect light into other properties, and then cities don't like them because they get involved with Edison easement, plus they don't want them over any water features. I've seen a few of them used in too small of a backyard and it does look too powerful, they do look better in a large backyard especially a wooded backyard, because the light bounces into the darkness and it does kind of tame the lighting. And then some homeowners associations don't want to see them from the front yard because they are considered not summer lighting, but Christmas lighting and they've got restrictions on the calendar for Christmas lighting. I just have a lot of regular LED flood lights and accent lights, and I gave up on the bistro lighting just too many issues. I have seen some Bistro lighting some mounted on the midsection of fences around the perimeter of the property, and it doesn't bounce into other people's yard and it does give that Festival look. something from 50 years ago I do kind of Miss, then we had those little plastic tulip lighting used to hang from the rafters of the patios, and they were very small bulb and they didn't bounce into other people's backyard, and it just went around the perimeter of the patio. I don't know the name of it but they looked like Giant Tulip flowers with a little light in the middle of it and then they hung a lot like a bistro light. They were not so strong and they did not eliminate Such a large diameter.
