I like that Spellbook has went from the strongest card ever to jank bank material
The problem isn't really Judgment. Judgment is a broken fucking card, the rest of the Spellbooks are really mediocre and Jowgen as a target is just, okay.
Yeah, if they ever print Spellbooks that are good in the current state of the game, I'd be willing to bet Judgement is going straight back onto the banlist. It's been powercrept out and now is just one of those "cards that's insane but only allowed because it's in a bad archetype", and if it gets into a good archetype...
To be honest, I think DuelLogs might have been the only one calling it the strongest card ever in the modern era.
You know how people used to argue about what was better, Dragon Rulers or Spellbooks? Dragon Rulers won!
@@ashblossomandjoyoussprung.9917 Because as far as singular cards go it is. The only problem is that the cards AROUND it have been powercrept. Dragon rulers are probably the single best series of cards in the games history and Judgement is the reason they never became tier 0.

If anyone is wondering why i was playing regular luna tear its because its supposed to turbo out ladd and i milled everything but it, and for a deck that is exclusively created to turbo that card that isnt very good :(
and this was supposed to be a loop deck using reverse trap but that is opt because konami said so, normally i used edopro but wanted to see if omega ruled it the same way

Play Curious, its a Foolish Burial on a body. Its what i use to dump Quillbolt Hedgehog in PUNK to make Naturia Beast. If you need to see a specific card in GY, there's no reason not to run it in the extra deck.

spellbook of life doesnt actually destroy whatever it summoned when it leaves, you can send it for knowledge and souls which comes up a lot actually...

MBT really forgot that lovely lady can set 1 trap from his gy during each of his main phases, i mean, sure, he needs a fiend on field to use that trap afterwards, but he also had welcome labrynth.

Is it just me that thinks Samsara Dragon's tail looks like a certain type of beads?
Lab is honestly quite fun to play, though you can play floodgates, its one of the very few if not only control deck that doesn't actually need them to win.
Every Bo3 deck sides Floodgates and stun cards in order to press their advantage, but those cards have a doable game 1 without them.
Reminds of what Sky Striker used to be able to do before everyone got addicted to Mine Pass shenanigans for that deck in the TCG. Thankfully with Mine banned in MD format I can play the deck in its more intended playstyle there while waiting for Labrynth to come out so I can have an actual Trap deck to work with.
Eh, we play floodgates, just not really continuous trap floodgates aside from rivalry. We play end of Anubis mainly.
