Get aftermarket head unit that fits this model . So much easier than dealing with this and getting nowhere . Aftermarket units look like it was factory fitted but have so much more to offer.
Have a 2009 model. Last upgraded maps were released 2016. Nothing since. Company no longer exists and people that took them over don't respond to emails. Holden will install the last upgrade for a mere $300 but it's uselessly out of date. Problem is you can't replace it with just a stereo head unit as some of the other vehicle systems use the display. AC and so on.
I have done the same thing but it won't update and I know it's not upto date cos of some the streets in Perth are not on gps when driving by and it always takes me the long way ??
