Have you ever replaced the spark plugs on this LTZ Captiva? I can’t really find then where there are located on Petrol Engine it is so easy like any other cars but on this Captiva I can’t find it
Hi there , thank you for your video it was very helpful indeed , however the reset of oil change light did not work for me and the oil change like still comes on for a time after start up . Any tips?
@@trenchtown69 So I finally managed to get the oval shape plastic trim cover off. The cover has has four attachments points, I used a flat screw driver bent at 90 degrees. Pulled down to take it of, wasn’t easy but got it in the end. Tightened the screws of the visor base. Replaced the oval shape cover by clipping in just one side. In case I have to get out again. I tried to attach the photo of cover but no luck
Re the filters used, the O in the Cooper filters name WCO154 is the alphabetical O as in Oscar. The R2736P is a Ryco filter, it sounds like you're saying it's a Repco number.
We couldn't figure out where the oil filter was! You, my friend, are a Godsend. Thank you so much. This video made it all so easy!
Awesome e hoa - changed oil and filter tick - no probs

There might be different steps to reset the oil light depending on your Year model and country. I'm not sure about other models.
Any chance you could show how to remove sun visor on driver side in the Captiva? Mine got loose and I can’t get to tighten bolts
OMG OMG mine too. Tried velcro, magnets, and still haven't fixed it. And how weird is that base trim?

Hi there this was video was very helpful thankyou but could you please let me know what oil you used for the Captiva thanks in advance
The oil I used was Castrol Magnatec Diesel DX 5W-40
Best oil Penrite 5w30 diesel synthetic cost $104 for 10lts Ryco oil filter $22
Could do a engine flush vd
Loved your informative videos. How is the Captiva going a year later and what kms has your car clocked up?
So far no issues, I did drain and change the transmission fluid recently when I last serviced it, up to 73,000km.
Cool what other reset tips do you have , Michael from Cairns 😀
This is the only one I know of. The oil reset can also be done with some OBD2 scanners, this is something I might look at in the future.
Facing oil filter which way do I turn the socket
Anti-clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten, same as opening a jar of jam.
How often do you change the oil
I plan to change the oil every 6 months or 10,000km.

Yes I did say the wrong name, yes I did mean ryco!!
That is a RYCO number not repco
Calling socket handle a "wrench" Shame
Hey mate what engine oil was it 5-30w ?

@@whitey1195 He used Castrol Magnatec Diesel DX 5W-40
