Hey brother I’ve done some good work on some of my vehicles from watching your videos I was curious as to if you’d be willing to answer a couple of questions to better help me diagnose what’s going on with one of my vehicles!
Yeah, take the front wheels OFF, for spark plugs on these S10s....
For those looking for a way to remove the #3 plug, I've got a simple trick and it's a little tough but worth using. You'll need the spark plug socket and a 19mm stubby flexible head ratchet wrench. Put the socket on the plug then put the wrench ratchet end around the head of the socket to break the plug loose and same thing after you start the plug by hand then tighten the plug with the wrench and socket. Use this trick wisely and good luck.
You forgot to mention that you need to remove both wheels, airbox and steering shaft. 😮 2.5hrs 2001 4.3
Great videos. My only note is that you never say what tools you use as in socket/wrench sizes, and the torque specs for the plugs would have been a nice addition seeing as you did use a torque wrench.
Is there a special trick for the spark plug that's hiding behind the steering shaft...
You would show the most accessible side of the engine. Thanks for nothing 👎
For everyone that came here trying to figure out how to get the #3 plug out, only to be disappointed, this dude shows how to drop the steering shaft: ua-cam.com/video/721wuak1reI/v-deo.html
Thank you
Dude for real you’re the real hero here lol
Thanks bro
Proper gap on the plug itself???
What about the driver's side number 3 plug show an easy way to get that one
Uhhhh...floor jack....take front wheels/tires OFF. You're WELCOME! 😶
Don't know ya but I love ya!
What size socket? What's the gap? This helps me not
What engine you on
Probably a 4.3 v6 Vortec
WHATS THE GAP??
.06
The same for the rest? How about the impossible middle plug?
Try doing it from under the fender weld genius
What about Gapping the Plug?
+Juan Rico Our spark plugs are pre-gapped.
i dont mean to nag... but please use antiseize
Lmao. Negative.
You couldn't do the drivers side middle plug lol
No wonder anyone is watching this guy he shows nothing waste of time
So how do you get to #3You don’t show how to get around the steering column and get access to #3?!?!?!
Screw it, I’m removing the shaft at least at the coupling.
You don't gap it?
Most plugs are pre-gapped, but the gap is .060 for these spark plugs
@@wyattcamacho7464 pre gapped or not it's still a good idea to check the gap
Sure Wouldn't Want To Mention Spark Plug Gap, Would You ? (Silent Ghost Fart Emoji)
Handyman Hal over here is a little to perky and doesn't perform proper procedures 🤦 I'm just here to stir the puddin 😛
Well that was......pretty generic. Take the old one out and put the new one in. Easy peasy.
wiggling spark plug wires like that WILL disconnect the INSIDE wires & NOT work properly... It's TRICKY business.
+Rick X Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team. 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
In a perfect world, they wouldn't have done that. Sometimes when working on cars you have to do things a bit unorthodox in order to get the job done. We don't live in a perfect world. They made a great video.
