I love your videos I've watched several before I go do my job and I'm pretty well experienced but on this one there's no need to take any of that steering shaft stuff apart. Spark plug sockets got a hex on the the spark plug socket for these scenarios. Can you use a shorty box and on sockets hex. I didn't have a 19 mm or 3/4 shorty so I just cut one of my cheap tools to fit. It saved the entire removal of the airbox removal of the cover from the steering gear on bolting it removing the shaft put in the shaft back in and all that r&r. Please again I have the most respect for your videos, i just thoughf i could give you back some of the time you've saved me this little one timer! ✌️

Take the three bolts out, that hold the steering shaft on the driver's side. Pry the steering shaft up just a little and the spark plug comes right out with a swivel extension. Easier than taking apart the shaft.

I had to replace my distributor cap, so I figured I'd go ahead and replace plugs and wires at the same time. First I found the shop that last tuned it up put the wrong plugs in. Gas milage went up 25%. even with 1 old plug still in the motor. Not for long now. Thanks.

im sure youre way works fine but dont forget a spark plug socket has a 3/4 hex head on the end. I in my experience have done many and had an extra 5/8 spark plug socket. I basically cut 1/3 of the socket off and use a 3/4 or 19mm wrench instead of a ratchet to wrench the spark plug out. wish i had a video to show but it saves time without messing with the steering

@@simonos777t My 2003 GMC Sonoma 4.3 l had P0300… it was a faulty, brand new, distributor cap. I used a multimeter to test for continuity between the points. Yup! My truck was out of commission for a year! I’m now on my fourth distributor cap and rotor :/ I was having a hard cold start (with crank) took the dizzy off. One screw backed out the other was so corroded and even after using PB Blaster a few times, letting it penetrate the screw sheered off :/ I had to remove the whole assembly and drill it out. At least I didn’t have to mess with taking all of the plugs out, including that damn # 3 and hand crank to find TDC. I wasn’t moving anything so I just marked the where rotor pointer was at, lifted until it turned counter clockwise 42 degrees, marked that spot. Reverse process and it drops right in.
