- It's a very busy time of year here and I'm flat out - thought it would be time for a bit of an update on what I've been up to in the last couple of weeks. It's been super hot which has made day to day work more challenging, and on top of the normal workload I've been busy with new hatchlings and other drama.

"Owls are not quite as intelligent"
*all owls in fiction writings*
"I'm sorry, what?"
All those owls reading books for nothing!
my parents were buzzards but I told everyone at school they were goshawks.
love your channel!
I laughed. I laughed twice...
Actually LOLed. Love it!
Living in the Sonoran Desert for over 23 years has afforded me the opportunity to watch Hummingbirds make nests in Ocotillos and Euphorbia Royalena. I have used up to 8 feeders for the Hummingbirds where I lived and I planted succulents cactus, and other plants hummingbirds appreciate to create an entire environment for them. It is wonderful to have birds surrounding you.
Hummingbirds are amazing - what a fantastic opportunity to watch them make nests!
Nice haven you’ve made for your feathered friends!
Friend, I've had a Wren family make babies in my window earlier this year (Oklahoma). I believe they lived and fluttered of. A few weeks ago a Cardinal family made a nest in one of my Rose bushes, but the babies must have died. The parents are gone and I haven't found evidence of them. However, when making dinner one of the parent Wrens was making warning signs. A cat was outside. I don't know If I should trap it or not. IIRC, they are killed if I take it to a shelter. Advice?
The Dude idrk all that much, but if you’re sure the cat is a stray, maybe you could look for no kill shelters in your area if you’re willing to. I’m not sure if this would work all that well, but another option could be to put up a little barrier of light wire fencing, like the kind that comes in a rolled up format that u attach to little poles or stakes in the ground. It could offer a bit more protection for future bird friends. If anyone else has different input feel free to correct me xD
There is so much cuteness in this video. Made my day brighter. :)
Owldemort is going to be a lover, not a fighter: yaaaayyyy!
Hoooray for Owldemort.
Quite literally lol
This owl chick is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I love owls so much it hurts 😭❤️
Agreed ♡♡
I agree, too.
"So much it hurts"?
How old are you?!
Camille Labrequie-I feel the same way as you do too!👍🏻🥰🥰🥰🥰👍🏻👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰
You’re a wonderful person. The animals are lucky to have you!
We're lucky to have her too. :)
"He's incredibly unfit at the minute..."

Yep
Same. Slowly. About half-way. To reach for more food.
Yeah Yeah Yeah ✌❤
Thanks for giving us a window into your world. I enjoy watching birds and channels like yours are perfect for when my local birds are off and about! Cheers from Florida!
Hello from London!
I’ve seen burrowing owls in FL once. It was in the daytime.
I have Been watching a red tailed hawk (buzzard) near my house for the past 2 years their nest from last year was used this year by a great horned owl pair who fledged 2 owlets and chose the nest across the street in a more covered location to raise their young this year its so cool watching raptors grow up and this year was the first time I not only saw a owl but owlets as well. they grow up fast!
@Hugo Adrian Wilkins "Buzzard" hawks are another name for what we call "Red Tail Hawks" here in the states. Also called a "Chicken Hawk" although they rarely eat chickens. I love to see them soar here in the Montana mountains where I live.
Thank you for clarifying buzzards are RTHs! I worked with them briefly at a wildlife rehab facility a couple years ago but didn’t know they were the same thing.
Hugo Adrian Wilkins they didn’t they laid their eggs in the nest across the street
"The weather was absolutely rubbish"
Cuts to a bright and sunny day.
The British aren't used to this sun thing.
She explains why it's rubbish for the birds, if you listened. 💕
@@aimeemayer9309 He,s from Barcelona , not his fault , eh Fawlty
Braden Scott I’ve heard they are used to clouds and rain.
@Hugo Adrian Wilkins its been the sunniest spring on record here, so very weird weather for Britain anyway. in winter it rained a lot (as usual) but spring has been as sunny and dry as anybody remembers
Awe! Owldemort's going to have a wifey!️ * sniffles * Seems like it was just yesterday we were watching him wiggle out of his shell, chirping for food and sleeping the day away. Now he's going to be a hubby and, hopefully soon, he'll have a brood of his own. 😄❤️️🎉
You do a wonderful job, love these vids.
Looking forward to the next one,
also hope to see Fable again soon. Boop Boop!
Your wonderful videos are a welcomed relief from the stressful days we’re all going through. Your photos are great and always all informative!
Such a busy time, Busby buzzard looks happy enough with the goshawk mum, how exciting with hatching as well as moving.
I do genuinely appreciate the update, especially about owldimort. It's nice to know what is happening with the birds. Unfortunate about those buzzard parents, but at least he has a good foster.
It's lovely to vicariously experience so much positivity in these dark times! It makes me feel hopeful again!
Your birds are so bueatful. From little to grown. Just love them. I look at Ravens total different now all thanks to Fable. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the update! I love all the birds but it just broke my heart (in the good way) watching that dear little buzzard chick working at breaking out of the egg. You can see how exhausting it is, see him breathing hard as he would stop to rest. So glad you were there to intervene when the parents couldn't raise him, and thanks to the goshawk for being such a great foster mom! Love to Fable, can't wait for more of her vids!
Amy this is a great update. What a cool thing to be doing!!!😊
I know right? It’s so cool.
This video, so relaxing, enjoyable and I love ur new puppy!
Only one complaint. Your videos are never long enough. I could watch this all day long and never be bored. Your videos are interesting, informative and full of over the top cuteness! 🙏🏻💕 thank you so much!
It 's incredible how the little owl chicks grow so fast!
How cool! Those baby owls are even cuter than before! Your puppy looks adorable. You have been busy...look forward to next video.
So you got a new set of full-size dog ears attached to a puppy body, huh? 😁
"On Friday I picked up my new *puppy.* His name is Bryn & he is an Italian Spinone-"
Me: *"PUPPY!!!"😍🥰😜🤗*
"Late on Friday night when I got back from the puppy, the first of the *Buzzard chicks* hatched-"
Also Me: *"CHICKS!!!"😍🥰😜🤗*
Seriously though, it’s _wonderful_ to hear about all of the new arrivals!☺️ It’s really interesting to learn that owls - which are usually depicted as being particularly wise - in actuality are not quite as intelligent as hawks, falcons & eagles🤔! I’d no idea!
I know right? It’s so crazy she had to intervene the one bird that didn’t know what to do with the baby, but I’ve seen a documentary where some pandas don’t know what to do with their babies either and the babies starve. So glad she was able to make a healthy decision.
Congratulations on a fab site. Definitely raised my opinion of falconry and helping natures victims. I'm a fan
Tawny Owl chick... oh my goodness. Too stinking adorable.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put this informative vid together Amy amongst your very busy routine. So sorry to read THAT rude question you received. I personally think you look just fab as you are, if that's of any consolation. You are a natural beauty and a natural presenter. Keep up the great and fascinating work and I look forward to your next upload. TTFN. ⭐️🦅❤️
You truly amaze me, Amy. You must be super-human or have tonnes of background help... or more likely, a combination of the two. Any which way, you're incredible and I so adore seeing updates! I don't know how you do it all AND record/edit/post but I sure am glad that you do! Your love for both teaching and learning is evident and appreciated. Much love
Cannot wait to see that little barn owl grow up!! You have some really beautiful animals - thank you for the update!! :)
You are so lucky to be working with such magnificent raptors. Thank you for sharing them with us.
#NortheastKent (Whitstable Faversham Sittingbourne) I don’t know why but I have a particular thing for Buzzards... I love to see them soaring on thermals, I love to see them perched on fence posts watching for prey and also standing in fields lazily waiting for worms to appear... I once read a description of Buzzards as the ultimate lazy raptors.. they would rather their prey presented to them rather than them actively hunting and so they love love love a juicy worm!
Brynn, tawny owlet and little owlets all super cute.........the other hatchlings will grow into cuteness, I'm certain. Thanks for a very full update, Amy.
Omgosh seeing the birth of a new bird is breathtaking its a God Wink of how awesome life is 😊🙏❤
You're going to have some hard core buzzards!
I really have a soft spot for them, the first bird I was assigned to train volunteering at a centre was a common buzzard. Sadly she died as she was finishing her first moult. She choked on a piece of DOC in a million to one fluke. I'm hoping that someday I'll get the chance to train my own, ideally see if I can get it up on the soar.
I dearly love watching the progress of your birds that thrive from the time they grow into adult hood! I truly believe with such loving care that you give them that they are blessed to have you as their mum!! Also I adore your sweet new puppy! It is obvious that he has bonded with you totally!! He has the most beautiful color and the sweetest face!! Thank you with all my heart for doing what you do for these magnificent animals!! Hope you are doing well! Stay safe sweetheart!!
I found your channel a couple of weeks ago (thanks to Fable & algorithm :) ) and it has become one of my favorite channels.
Thank you for the work you put into the videos, they really sweeten my day.
i can’t believe how big the owls are!
Hello from Canada I Simply Luv Pointer Dogs :)
I am impressed with everything you do. Do you have help? It is obvious to me how dedicated you are by the cleanliness. That speaks volumes of how honorable you are! My deepest respect!
Fantastic puppy love! I didn’t even think you had dogs for some reason. Another amazing upload. I’m learning so much about your world! Stay cool. Love from Las Vegas!
I’ve always wanted to train large birds.
So I’m kinda living vicariously through your videos lol
I like the animals that don't get any respect like vultures, skunks, seagulls and rats.
ua-cam.com/video/inXmZjoE1ik/v-deo.html
I've had all 4 of those animals bite electric wires in my front yard and cook themselves. Respect.
I love vultures soo much , like probably more tganni should LOL
@@sfall616 nice
@Hugo Adrian Wilkins Don't know myself. The dogs sure liked it.
You’re amazing!! I’ve been researching how to make a ringtone from UA-cam videos so that I could get Fable’s Boop Boop sound!! Thank you sooo much for providing the audio!!
I made my notification alert my dog snoring ☺
Boop! Boop! Wow!
Hey Amy such a wonderful update! We had a pair of Barred Owls move into a tree near our house this February and have little ones. One fledged from the tree this weekend. Poor parents struggled for the better part of a day to get him back up to the nest! I bet they wished they had you to help!!
That was such a nice video. So much going on. Love your new dog. The hatching is so interesting and the baby owl updates was precious.Take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Love watching you and your little friends.
As a dog enthusiast, I'm really excited to hopefully see some of your new pups training! I love watching dogs work and being in a city, we don't get to see dogs work with birds. ❤️
We love you!! What you share is very very special ❤️
Oh! A Spinone! A good friend of mine breeds & shows them (we're in New England), and is very involved in NAVHDA here, which stands for North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association. You're right, they tend to be a slower going dog who really thinks with patient intention. Awesome personalities! Congrats on all the spring happenings!🌷😊☀️
Brin so beautiful what a nice puppy you have quite a beautiful family thank so much for your time with gratitude t
Love watching your show!!! The birds are fascinating!!!!
Congrats on your new puppy, Amy and Thanks for taking time to keep us updated on how everything is progressing, your awesome please give Fable a Boop from me
My uncle has kept all sorts of birds from Harris hawks to goshawks and all sorts of different falcons. I’ve always loved raptors and did my dissertation on them at uni, I hope that one day I’ll be lucky enough to own my own birds! Really like your channel
Thank you for all the information on these beautiful and deserving to live birds. We all are so thankful for deeply caring people like you ❤
Bless you all.😇
Thank ya Amy for letting Us all know about the happenings So Cool Be Safe God be with Y'all✌❤
I so enjoy learning about your interesting life with birds of prey.
years ago when I was teaching I saw some boys kicking what looked like a feather ball
It was a baby owl!!
Anyway I brought him home and he recovered stange to say part of my family for a while ,
So BOO the boo book owl eventually had to move to a zoo as he would never be able to
look after himself in the wild , still I was amazed by his intelligents and the way he seemed
to enjoy my company perched on the back of my armchair watching TV!
So pleased to see you breeding theses magnificent creatures and giving the a great life
God bless stay safe Chris
Love the goshawk such a beautiful animal
It feels a bit like "Which is your favourite child?"; they all have their wonderful qualities! But I agree. I have a great fondness for kestrels, as well, there's something deeply attractive about them, even if they "only" catch voles, moles and mice etc. Not as spectacular as Peregrines, gyr falcons, eagles etc (long list) but they have something, 'it', sassiness! I don't know what it is. But Goshawks beat them for their hard work, skill, abilities on many levels, plus they bring home pheasant, grouse, rabbits etc They are all good looking and impressive creations of nature.
Wow, the Family's getting BIGGER! Awesome.
Hello from California, I am a new subscriber, and my husband and I have been having the best time watching your videos! We applaud all the gorgeous, fascinating birds, and of course all your loving and intelligent efforts in loving and caring for them to ensure they live their best life.
So much fun!! Thanks for sharing these wonderful things. ;)
UA-cam's first celebrity vulture is going to have to get a really cool name.
Puppy and baby owls?! Oh my word ♥️♥️♥️♥️
That is amazing, being raised by another Mom... You are amazing I can't say enough..
Thanks for the update on the owls Amy, so lovely to see pics of them growing up. Can't wait to check out your FB page. Xxx
You are an amazing sweet person. Your work with the birds is great!
Love your new dog..chicks are so cute..you are a very busy mama!!!! You have a tender soul..God bless..
Hi Amy, So cool to learn from you! Congrads on your new pup! I was hoping you could answer a question for me. Most parrot owners use a body harness on their birds, but I'm considering using a foot teather instead. My thinking is: that my bird has been used to a leg cuff and I regularly will hold my finger on his foot when I want to restrain him. I know this is uncoventional for my small parrot ( a Conure), but I think it might work for us. I only want to use it for when I take him on walks so that he won't get loose if he spooks. Do you think this would be safe? Is there any training or practical issues I need to be aware of? Can I chain him directly to his leg band or should I get a separate cuff? Do I need to worry about chafing or damage to his leg? I can't wait to take him out of the house with me.Thank you for your time, I know your very busy. I'm grateful that you are living a life you love!
I have a Parrotlet who refuses to wear a harness... he’s smaller than your bird and I have the same issue, I’d love to take him out, but how?
The problem is bird anatomy... birds of prey have strong, thick legs because of the prey they hunt. If they startle, the tension on the leg bone isn’t too likely to break it. Not so, however, with parrots; they have thin, light bones and their hip sockets are shallow. If you had your Conure fitted with jesses and leads and he startled, hit the end of the line..even if it’s elasticized, I’d worry he’d break or dislocate his legs. You might read around some of the parrot forums. I’ve seen a lot of opinions on this but I like to err on the side of caution. Sammy only weighs an ounce but he also has only one speed. When he goes, he goes and sometimes doesn’t stick the landing too well. Though it is funny to watch him slide across the kitchen counter, I can see him getting hurt unless I clipped his wings; something which I am loathe to do. Good luck with your boy, perhaps a good travel cage would work..there are some nice ones on the market. He might feel safer (being a prey creature) and enjoy your outings more.
Gee, that sounds like North Carolina weather.
So very interesting....your new pup is adorable. Thanks for sharing with us.
*How did the move go to you’re new property? Take care*
That Buzzard Chick is adorable!
Thank you so much for the update Amy, I (we) were really looking forward to know how things were going and of course to know about the owls progression... (Owldemort has a girlfriend!! So happy to hear!) I also like that you not just talk about "nice and cute" things, but about the blunt and hard realities of wildlife as well, so we know it's not all Disneyland fairytales of happy, funny and cute birds 24/7... Are you still planning to move to a new location? Or are you AT the new location already? (I can't imagine the amount of work that would add up to your daily routine...) Anyway, always happy to know how things are going, it will be interesting to see how a full season/year of falconry pans out...
Good luck with your new pup!! So cool the buzzard baby hatched as you came home with your pup! So much going on!
Congratulations on getting a Spinone! What a Gr8! dog! I like that he'll run at Your Pace!
Falcons are such beautiful birds bless
Thank you for taking the time for this update!! I've been waiting & watching for this! Sounds like a very BUSY TIME! LOVE ALL THESE LITTLE ONES!!🦉💞👍🏻
The beauty in these birds!..
We have still 3 breeds of pointing dogs in the Iberic península. Coming all 3 from the very very old pointer, the grandfather from many pointer dogs in Europe like the English pointer. The perdiguero Portuguese, perdiguero de Burgos and pachon Navarro are our last pointer breeds. And if i remember well the Italian spinone come from this old pointer dog too.
:-) Passions require hard work! Boop Boop!
That owl chick is the cutest thing on earth
Thanks for the update, looks like everyone is coming along nicely. Stay healthy and stay safe. ❤️
Thank you :) you too
Goshawks are such good mums
There is one at the local bird rescue, she fostered a lot of saved chicks
Holy cow mad respect. More than a full time job. Your like a dairy farmer, 24-7. Enjoy the Q&A video
Looks lovely bird
What a wholesome mum, fostering a chick that isn’t her own and not even her species to boot. Man i could watch chicks hatch all day. Struggling to take that first step into the world... magical every time.
Brilliant update! Thank you!
I just love your committment to the your birds Amy, you are amazing!...Bryn is beautiful and loved seeing the little chick hatch, he/she is super cute 😊...Followed you over on FB ..a Fable phone tune would be amazing, I love Fable .💓💓
I love these videos so much, they are so educational. This channel was suggested to me on youtube about a month ago and I've been binge watching all content in it. I never thought of Falconry as a job outside wild bird centres and zoos, it's fascinating to get to know this field and the conservation work done through it. Look forward to all the videos to come!
This such a great educational channel
Such fuzzy babies, growing as fast as your channel!
Thanks for the updates! Nature is fascinating👍
How do you go* about choosing a foster parent for the bird? I'd be really interested in knowing!
What a wonderful hatching video. Thank you.
Thank you for all the updates Amy. Love as always.
I always enjoy your new clips amy and will be joining the facebook group. Boop Boop!!
I love them! All of your animals are so great!
Thanks for taking the time to update us!
Love, Love, Love your sweet puppy! I have 2 Bracco Italiano's myself! They are the smooth coat version to the Spinone Italiano, incredibly smart and loyal. I wish I could attach a picture of Santino & Enzo, I have know idea how to do that?
Drop me an email (you can find it in the about tab on my channel)
