    I run almost the same deck but with 2 Kylo, I love to ECL him for 8 dmg to kill basically any leader. I also run Ruthless Raider so I have enough space unit to deal with Tie Phantom. Finally, I think Traitorous is a must in set 2 with all the upgraded units.

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Місяць тому

      Yeah absolutely. Rukh is very good in Vader for dealing with it. I think Rukh's value goes up a lot in this set in ECL decks especially because of the ability to put the shield on first before ambushing so that it stays alive.
      Control decks will obviously have good answers for the dragon, but will get ran over by some of these aggro decks

      @@SWUDAD What about Force lightning?

    • @SWUDAD

  • @wind1up1snowman
    @wind1up1snowman Місяць тому +1

    think 30hp base will still be the play going forward only new card that likes ecl is jango but i could be wrong how good has ecl been in testing ?

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Місяць тому +1

      I talk about this at the very end of the video. But I think because of how prevalent Krayt Dragon is going to be, Rukh is going to be a very good way to deal with that card for this deck. Especially with ambush from both ECL and Timely intervention. The ability to put the shield on first to keep Rukh alive, or to put the shield on afterwards for smaller units that it removes is very strong.
      In testing thus far ECL vs 30 hp has made much of a difference at all. Obviously, aggro decks are the concern, but so far has not been an issue. Timely intervention really helps as a consistent way to remove threats.
      So currently Rukh is the reason that currently I am leaning towards ECL. It also really helps against the aggro decks to deal with Poe and Wrecker (Shield itself first and stay alive while taking those units out)

    Can you deal damage from Krayt dragon's ability to the unit that was played?

    • @SWUDAD

      Yes if it's a ground unit

    • @paperbeater8938
      @paperbeater8938 24 дні тому

      @SWUDAD Also, how does ambushing Rukh in with timely work when stacking the triggers? 1 damage is distributed from timely, then Rukh enters and 5 damage can be dealt, or does shielded trigger before the 5 damage?

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  24 дні тому

      @@paperbeater8938 you can put the shield on before or afterwards with Ambush. I believe how it works is that you have to put the shield on first, and than Krayt Dragon does its 1 damage to take off the shield. So Rukh will trade with the Dragon which is still worth it

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  Місяць тому +1

      Thought about that for sure. Ended up with Rukh which I talk about the reasoning at the end of the video. Rukh makes so much sense right now as a way to kill a lot of these big threats instantly, and the fact that you can put a shield on it before you kill the unit so that it stays alive is awesome.

      @SWUDAD  Місяць тому

      Definitely a sideboard option for me against control. You could drop a "Relentless", and 1 Yularen in the sideboard, but I feel like Relentless is about to be super important because of all the removal that control just got, and to protect krayt dragon

  • @Kerbrax010587

    what about boba? u play krayt dragon for 9 i bounce it back to the hand.

    • @SWUDAD
      @SWUDAD  17 днів тому +1

      You are not typically playing Krayt Dragon in this matchup and most likely sideboarding it out
      Boba Green has got a lot more ambush units, and ambush effects with "Timely Intervention" so the matchup can be difficult. However, the matchup is absolutely winnable, and your ability to ramp consistently and cheat units out always plays to your advantage. Again you are playing defense early. Your sentinels are super important, and similarly to the Sabine matchup you are using your ambush effects to keep their board presence low. Using Starviper, and Sundari Peacekeeper as your early life gain. Poe and Wrecker are absolutely key in this matchup to ambush in and take out the Boba leader before it gets buffed. I have considered putting in 1 "Aquitens Assault Cruiser" and taking out 1 Marauder as a way to come in and one shot Fett's Firespray, and possibly even adding in another Cruiser into the sideboard for this matchup. Reinforcement Walker and occasionally Krayt Dragon to close things out if Poe and Wrecker don't do it by themselves. Boba Yellow is the easier of the matchups from my testing because you ramp so much faster than them.

      Blue and Green control Decks should have less of a problem with it. Aggro Decks still can be too fast for him and have the space and enough life to finish. Yellow especially boba and/or Decks with cunning should be fine.
      Its strong and decks/Meta has to adjust to it but it not unbeatable
