Dilemma: John and Susan, a retired couple, have decided to relocate to Victoria to enjoy their retirement years. They have saved for this moment and are eager to find the perfect neighborhood. Here are their specific concerns :John and Susan were looking for a peaceful and tranquil neighborhood where they can relax and enjoy their retirement without the noise and hustle of the city.
1. Healthcare Access: As retirees, easy access to healthcare facilities, doctors, and hospitals is a priority. They want to ensure they are close to quality medical care.
2. Outdoor Activities: They both love spending time outdoors, so they are keen on finding a neighborhood with parks, walking trails, and other recreational options.
3. Budget: While they have savings for retirement, they still want to be mindful of their budget and ensure they're making a financially wise decision for the long term.
4. Social Engagement: Although they value peace and quiet, John and Susan also want opportunities for social engagement with other retirees. They're looking for a neighborhood with a sense of community and perhaps senior-friendly activities.
Here are there Must Have’s and Would Like to Haves:
Must Haves:
-Must be less than $1M
-Must have 2+ bedrooms with over 1,000 sq ft
-Must have in suite laundry
-Allow small dogs
-1 parking stall
-Fairly quiet area but with good walkability
-Near parks and walking trails
Would Like to Have:
-A condo that has an updated kitchen
-Social Engagement opportunities
-Sense of community and perhaps senior friendly activities readily available.
Their dilemma revolves around balancing their desire for a peaceful environment, access to healthcare, outdoor activities, budget considerations, and opportunities for social interaction. They need to find a neighborhood that caters to their retirement lifestyle and future needs.
