Hi, I am moving to Victoria from Oakville, On with soon-to-be grade 12, and I've never been to the island. could you recommend a neighborhood with good high schools? or in Victoria, are there any good private schools? She goes to a public school in Oakville, but since she is going to be in G12, if a private school better helps her adjust herself to the new environment during the most sensitive and stressful period of her school life, i am willing to do that. By the way, do you help people find a place to rent or do you only work for buyers and sellers? Many thanks

We are coming from Ontario so it’s a big move. Your videos have been very helpful. We plan to rent for a while, but will keep you in mind when the time comes for us to buy. I usually start my New Year Goals mid-December as old habits can be hard to break by the time mid-January you should be working towards the *new* goals. February 1 should be well into your new year, I look back to when I first moved to the island in 2014 I knew something told me I had to be here! 2024, I am finally finishing my story and beyond

Best City. We have lived in WestShore and Victoria. Ur videos for Victoria kept showing Westshore stuff. Update the costs Victoria is not that $$. Westshore has soccer and sporting facilities, indoor rock climbing facilities, YMCA aside from all of the outdoor, hiking world, renowned off-road mountain biking just to name a few things which make it popular for families which you failed to mention and that’s the reason why is becoming more popular with families and what makes it reasonable to do the drive. Victoria downtown is having a huge problem with homelessness and other problems which the Westshore and Langford are keeping out and so it’s better for families that way as well.

Omg we are the exact same way; together for 40 something years. We have had many different table sets through the years and we did hardly use them. Victoria is a miserable place. Dismal overcast weather. Drizzle drizzle drizzle. Full of insufferable know it alls or scary low lifes. Schools suck. Speed limit is 30kph and there are police road blocks all the time. Constant brainwashing that it's the best place on Earth. LOL

Fun fact about Oak Bay and surrounding areas in this video is that most of the Hallmark movies are filmed in uplands and Fernwood area 😅

This is two years old, and the Westshore has grown a lot I am in Colwood area and there is massive developments all around, especially the royal bay area including new schools and the new shopping districts which add value to the Westshore

I appreciate this is your insight and personal however, broad stroke descriptions and a changing landscapes policies and government plus time have resulted in an expensive dysfunction to try to navigate. Access to water physically, bathrooms, rentals, barriers, nature, history etc. Have decreased or changed and not for the better. Lived there 20 years ... no choice but to move. Low income do not exist there except on the streets. Real estate deals or not... tell the reality.

I am watching your video from regina. I found it informative. But I think Victoria's housing prices are super expensive and less parking spot in the neighborhood area.. I visited victoria last month. I am also surprised to hear that you spent your career 15 years in cruise ship and then you come back in victoria. However, I enjoyed your video. Those are my personal opinions based on my research and observation.
