I desperately want the Duck Tea Lady and the Steampunk Cat Man to exist in the same steampunk world
He hunts the birds, she tries to save them. But when all the birds in the city begin to mysteriously disappear, they must work together to find out who is behind the chicknapping. When they start to develop feelings for each other along the way, it really puts a cat amongst the pigeons.

Imagine the collective noun for owls was ''a pile of owl"
like how a group of crows is a murder, a group of owls is a pile
Fun fact, a group of owls can be called a parliament, wisdom, congress, hooting, or a stare. When in flight, they can be referred to as a silence
The heart symbol in the Japanese axe is called Inome (猪目) it's suppose to represent a wild boar's eye and it's a symbol of determination and bravery, since a wild boar will always charge at its target with determination. It's found in many old Japanese weapons. It is also a good luck symbol and is found in temples as well.

An idea that I had for the duck tea Victorian lady was that as a child she grew up on a farm that had a pond that every summer she went to see the ducks and got very attached to them, they were are a part of her and that’s why she is now and activist :D

Y'know when a character design itches your brain in just the right way simply because of the intricacies, silhouettes, linework, and beautiful proportions? That was the entirety of this video for me- like, I just... omg, each and every one of these just makes me so happy, even just at the lineart stage. They're all so gorgeous and I love these characters

All of these designs turned out so beautifully! They’re all so cool and have such a spice of variety to them. my faves are the first heavenly badass lady and the British birb activist, fighting for women’s (+trans women) rights and also birb rights simultaneously are such endearing qualities of a lady. Also if you wanted to include how tea is apart of her character aside from liking it, maybe she’s become fond of it due to learning from her sabbatical travels that it’s good for health, and also maybe she enjoys having tea parties with her birb and duck children as she grew a fondness for them after a family of birbs joined her for one.
Also btw that pile of owls gave me a different energy of chaotic birb hybrid siblings but they’re children lmao

Man, I would die for 1880’s duck tea Londoner lady, that design is incredible!! Do I also just love tea, teacups, ducks, and the second bustle era? Yes. Yes I do. I mean, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. If someone had worn this design at the Gilded Age Met Gala a while ago it would have been thoroughly amAzing.

19:50 a idea for backstory could be that maybe she (or her family) owned a tea company and had ducks and other birds on the property to keep bugs and other pests away from the tea plants and stock. I love her design and little ducks sm they are so cute 😭
omg sleepy shark is so cute! As a super doting cat mom I do feel blessed to see these adorable cat characters. I don't know if you are seeing comments on such old videos. If not that's fine I want to help the algorithm either way. If you do see it, sometime consider Pallas cats or sometimes known as Manols! They are the grumpy cute fluffy cats of the wild kingdom and I wish more people knew about them!

This feels like a D&D party. You could have an elven fighter/barbarian, tabaxi bard, Aasimar/Deva (not sure on a class for this one, maybe warlock?), triton sorcerer/wizard (for the sleep spell), human druid, and a human/elven artificer.
I think my favourite part about this series is that we can all see a fantastic character design work their muscle on such a wide variety of themes. Not only do you make fantastic designs, you also make such a variety of designs that these are just a pleasure to behold!
But the sleepy shark though! Man I just want to tuck that poor widdle teepy boy up and sing him off to sleep.

Sleepytime Shark is how I feel on the inside and Steampunk Cat reminds me of a Steampunk "Baron" from The Cat Returns.

Duck Tea lady gives me the vibe of the young Tea Company heiress. She always had an Infinity with animals and has chosen this is the cause she with live or die for which gives her father a bit of a headache. However this is his beautiful pride and joy of a daughter so she often is allowed places with her ducks including the tea factory.
The mysterious Catman feels like a villain or at least anti-hero thief. Perhaps he's a wrong inventor taking out his revenge on others. Maybe he wears the mask to hide his identity or some kind of burn or scar?
The second one I'm laughing, it reminds me and makes me think this kitty boy could have been in the aristocat's street cats jazz band 🤣🤣 and I love that movie! So I love that kitty too

As a British lady, I can confirm that I do like tea.
I think Celestial-Axe-Magical Girl from the beginning and The Angel-Eye Being would be friends and have a "Phineas and Ferb" type of relationship (the angel beiing Ferb since I assume he cant speak due to LackOfMouth).
Ok ok time to spam names and backstory ideas ! But first of all : I love your characters ! This idea of designing characters from these images really allows to show your creativity, I really really like this series.
For the Steampunk cat man, Idk why, but what if he is an aristocrat who likes to hide his identity from society and leave puzzles for other noble men to solve about who he really is, which would lead to him only being called the Golden Cat or something like that ? He gives off this mysterious vibe, and since he wears a cat mask, might also enjoy playing games.
Or maybe he was severly scarred in battle and wants to hide his injuries behind a mask.
OR he is a sort of chem baron (in the vein of some Zaunites from Arcane) that is convinced human race is weak and needs to transform into animal form to achieve supremacy or some sort of wicked thing like that and so he builds a lot of these mechanical animal parts.
Your first design reminds me a bit of a moon godess. Or maybe a magical girl but in a more dignified way, maybe she is a High Priestress that lives in the building you designed her after, which would be a temple of the actual Moon Godess, and your character would be tasked to do her deeds or spread belief among the people. And she would fight demons because she is a super badass.
For her name, I thought of Selene, which refers to the Greek Godess of the Moon.
Ok for your Cat Rocker, hear me out : Tom. I knooow it is just because male cats can be called toms but I think it suits him. He gives of a cool but a little goofy vibe, like he is enjoying himself on stage but also not able to process that he got tis far in the music industry. Maybe he is a new musician and his career went off the charts really quick and he sort of tries to figure out how to deal with this sudden success and the excitement but also anxiety that comes with it.
Gabriel would be cool for your biblical accurate angel character ! Gabriel is a famous Archangel from the Bible, who is a messager of God and also called herald of visions. He is also part of the higher ranks amongst Angels.
Why did Bob pop up in my mind while seeing your sleepy shark character ? Maybe he is a shy college student, an introvert who loves books and tea and stays up late to read, that's why he chronically feels the need to sleep.
The activist lady could be called Lady Anatilda ! The scientific name for ducks is Anatidae, and Anatilda sounds pretty similar to that but also works for a victorian lady, in my opinion. She could rescue ducks from farms that abuse the animals and hide them in her own yard. She looks like she could also be a bit lunatic, in the vein of Luna Lovegood.
