I personally love the butterfly lamp character! It's a shame you aren't satisfied with her but I respect that 💜 I think her skirts look almost like a big blue bell or like a waterfall, and adds to her mysticality and nature vibes in their own way :)
I would die for Owlbert without hesitation. Not an artist and thus would not be the ideal adopted parent of any of your designs, but I would still 100% buy one if you wanted to put them up for adoption!

It makes me think of how my father had me listening to Nickelback at the age of 2... and I still have a mask he got me during Covid with skulls covering it alongside glitter and hot pink bows... The owls in a trenchcoat has more chivalry and grace than any man I've ever met in the modern era~
I actually like the use of red in the rose queen’s design because it helps to break up the uninterrupted sea of gold as well as add a secondary color to the design

In real fashion history, the renaissance -> tudor -> elizabethan style development is pretty firmly increasingly conical and wide-hip for women and increasingly short and square for men. (for nobility and merchants at least.) Before that it would've been long and flowing (somewhat form-fitting) for everyone. The 'masculine' tudor silhouette in the upper body combined with the long robe is gorgeous though!
With the witch mushrooms, I'd love to see different mushrooms turned into characters. There's some wild looking ones out there. For the butterfly chandelier, what about turning the skirt into super thin pants to mimic the chain that holds the chandelier?

have a bunch of pictures to draw from! I got the solution. Take qualities from different photos and combine them into one character design. I call this Pinterest roulette. Usually I randomly scroll through my art inspiration board and then where ever I land I take bits and pieces from the pictures. Like the hair style from one. The pose of the character from another and the color scheme from another, etc. Really helps to pin point what you like and push yourself. I don’t know how it would work with the inspiration pics you have currently. Maybe combine your past characters design into the next generation character idk
Tip for next time you draw an owl persona, most(if not all?) owls have feathers that go all or most of the way down their legs! Fun video though, I liked the designs as always
I feel like most of these could be in the same universe from all of the videos there is always something that could be in the same universe as something else and then other ones from different videos that could go into a same story as the other videos. Also the rose Queen is a antagonist; antagonist does not mean villain it means obstacle.
I like the mental image of the witch girl plucking mushrooms off of herself to use in potions she is making to cure illnesses because she fell victim to one herself.
I get a white queen and queen of hearts vibes from the butterfly mage and the rose queen. I headcannon that they don’t get along and rule opposite ends of an enchanted forest, with the butterfly mage being the more tolerable and friendly one to outsiders. The rose queen seems more stricter but is still kind to her people. I headcannon the skeleton witch and the butterfly mage are sisters and that when the skeleton witch died, the rose queen brought her back to life and to repay her, the skeleton witch works as the rose queen’s royal advisor. The butterfly mage doesn’t realize that her sister has come back to life and the skeleton witch’s memories are a bit scrambled do to be resurrected so they haven’t reunited yet, but I like to imagine this huge climatic scene where they see each other for the first time and there’s a glimmer of recognition in their eyes and they run to hug each other. I also can see Owlbert working in the court of the butterfly mage’s
While i share your appreciative love with the Butterfly mage, the fantasy royal cort mage is such a pretty aesthetic that would make a great episode. Same with the derby carebear girl. The first character (pink emo dad) design reminds me of Glen the Rock’nRoll dad from Dungeons&Daddies (a very good and funny dnd actual play podcast, would recommend), but this dad looks more wholesome 💕 And the last character (roller derby slasher girl) would fit perfectly into the world of Daybreak! An comedic teen apocalypse serie which was sadly canceled after one season, but definitely still worth a watch! Love the designs!!

hey i know you're probably swamped with work and shows to watch but I just wanted to recommend the show Willow if you haven't watched it because it seems right up ur alley (for example, women with swords) and i personally really like it. I'd personally recommend watching the movie (has the same name) first since the show is kind of a continuation of that, but its not a mandatory watch to enjoy the show. btw sorry if this comes off as condescending in any way (oh and also really loved the video!)

The only name I can think of for the necromancer witch is Marshall (as a last name, but it could be a first name if you want), idk why since there’s not much of a swamp thing going on with the design, I just like the name. Also, a group of owls is formally called a “parliament”, so the distinguished design fits that very well.
